Hello Sir Louie and ma’am Gerlyn! I’m just amazed in everything, your answered on those questions and pag explained niyo very clear and very understandable…Sir Louie and Ma’am Gerlyn, napaka calm niyo super. Inspiring me and means a lot to me. More power and more blessings to come.Thank you Sir/Ma’am ❤
Kuya louie n ate gerlyn we have d same mindset everything you said is true.i stayed in d u.s. and now nka base d2 sa canada,me and my wife are planning to retire too in d phils.kaya nagpagawa na kami ng house dyan sa angeles city our comfort zone or retirement haven soon. There is no place like home, few more yrs.retired na rin kami.we are excited n looking forward to that time.
Hi Louie and Gerlyn both of you are amazing you don’t need to be perfect but it is reality check inspiring stories I can relate dahil I came in US almost same H1A visa not easy that time but our hearts says we want to go back home same reasons we computed income staying more years in US versus going home para sa amin situation we want to retire early too I really want to enjoy life with just enough money not depend with anyone just enough to cover our monthly expenses my husband addicted watching you guys we are wishing you all the best, one thing I learned from there I can get private health insurance thru BPI is not a lot of money but incase of emergency kay reality man mahal ospital if you use your money
While I agree that you should have utang in the US, it’s also part of building your credit score. Sa awa ng Diyos the only mortgage we have is only our house that we bought 7 years ago. The 30 year mortgage is now only 10 years. Lahat ng cars namin are fully paid. It’s really great to have a financial freedom. Now, we are focusing on our retirement just in time for our 2 boys to be on their own (both are in college right now). I would say I’m like you Gerlyn, very simple. The only treat we had is to go on vacation and not with material things. You guys are inspiring! Thank you!
Sa America, your credit score is your lifeline. Poor credit score/history may affect your housing, meaning buying a house or renting an apartment and even getting a job. Pwede nilang check ang credit history mo.
Got a question. My wife and I are both naturalized US citizens. NOT dual US Filipino citizens. We can’t buy house and lot in Phillipines? Ty and more power ❤
Una kaming nagmeet ng husband sinabi ko talaga sa kanya na in the future I will retire in the Philippines kasama ko man siya o hindi . Pero God move in mysterious ways He make sure na yung magiging asawa ko na he wants the same thing as me kaya hindi ako nagkaproblema. We are still middle 40s and we are already planning our retirement. 10 years from now we want to retire early. But that 10 years mabilis lang iyan kaya we are doing little by little na
I wish I could retire the age of your wife because life is very short. Once my daughter graduate from college I can retire and go home to the Philippines at the age of 63 yrs old. Thanks for sharing again.
Good afternoon to both of you! I can so relate to both of you, it might not have been the same Journey but over all the same. There's a reason why things happen in life.and I do believe in destiny. My husband and I did the same thing, We sold our house, vehicles, gave away some and kept that are memorable stuff in the storage which later we are going to ship it through container. Of course, it didn't just happened overnight. We thought it through and made the decision to retire in our beloved Philippines, actually it was my husband's idea. So far so good. We bought a land and will have a house build pretty soon. I've lived in Cali for 34 years and the hubs is retired, like Gerlyn, I have a long ways to go as far as receiving my SS but it's okay. Like you guys, we want to enjoy life here while we can still walk and run. :) I'm happy that you guys found the vibe and feel at home. ENJOY!
I remember my first month when i was in d u.s.i went to a convenient store then i was trying to buy a SOFT DRINKS then tapos ng store manager what u mean soft drinks i said soft drinks like co,e or pepsi and then he ssid ah u mean SODA. It was funny
Gerlyn you can apply for SS retirement 4 month before your 62nd birthday so on your birthday month, you will receive your first retirement check. Check SSA FAQ.
At least, the quality of life you had while working is not going to be affected once you retire. You will still live comfortably. On the other hand, if you are already rich in the Philippines, able to afford the luxuries of life, better to stay in the Philippines.
Hello Louis and Gerlyn another great vlogg! My husband and I felt same way no regrets living in Clark pampanga we chose here because we felt @ home, felt safe. Close by every where want to drive to bagiuo, ilocos, vegan. Or batangas. Bicol. Or visit Mindoro boracay Palawan. Or tour in Asia like Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Australia it's close by.. we love it here basta pakiramdam namin malapit kami sa lahat specially close to my family, by the way I'm from bulacan lapit lang sa min kaya hindi kami puwedi tumira sa malayo magretired, we are bothe retired last year. 2023 our 2 children left in states because they have own life na have kids. We can relate sa life story nyo peace! Stay safe 🙏 ❤️
Hi everyone. Louie has actually answered this question in one of the vlogs. He worked in the railroad at Southern Pacific in California since 1978 as a machinist. When he retired he worked in a law office after that. Here in the Philippines he was at the Philippine National Railroad since he was young until he went to the US

Same with me 19 yrs old ako ng pumunta sa States20 yrs sa Chicago at 20 yrs sa CA. I worked 40 years all in all at nag retired nuong 2021 at the age of 51 1/2.
I’ve never been to Davao so this comment may arguably be incorrect, but I was thinking you felt a positive vibe of Angeles since the city used to be an American enclave (Clark AFB) and you’ve spent more than half of your lives in the US. It’s also very conveniently located to Manila/Caloocan. Also Clark Airport is highly rated and can be a great jump off point for trips - likewise the replacement of NAIA that will be in Bulacan is a great boon and closer to Angeles! So all around a great place to “come home” to in the Philippines. 😀 👍
Pampanga is really where GOD lead you to Live Permanently because both your House in US & Philippines have the word "Angeles" in their City Names, which means Angels. So, u see, u were guided All Along by GOD's Angels. 🎉❤😊
Good morning, World!🌎 Ma'am Gerlyn, Sir Louie Boy, Thank you po sa inyong mga explanations, lalo na po doon sa mga nagtatanong. Here it is! For example, someone asked you, kung saan ang province ni Ma'am Gerlyn? ANS: Roxas City, di po ba? Very short answer. Yan po ang ibig kong sabihin na you can answer them right there. Well, anyways, Thank you Sir Louie Boy, for your quick response and for trying to answer what you think is necessary for the best of your subscribers and for your channel. More Power! Good morning you said you withdraw your 401k right so did you pay your TAX and Penalty?
Credit card is consumer debt, use it then pay it right away it will increase your credit score the better.
Sa pinas my credit store ba ? Dito sa netherlands walang credit store .

I think the math is wrong. 19 years old when you came to the US. Worked 40 years. And retired at 51 1/2. 19+40=59. I know I'm anal.
Must have been a typo error, instead of 59 1/2 yrs old she/he wrote 51 1/2 y/o. Point is, didn't wait 62 for early pension.
