We lost by nine but I got 2 wickets in one over and both of them were bowled out but I got a second ball duck
I played 2 games we won both made 67 and 44 off 20 not out
3* of 16, lost by 44 runs
We played our first 2 day game which is Saturday / Sunday. We lost the toss and bowled first in 40°c weather on day 1 and bowled them all out for 60 inside 20 overs and I took 4/5 of my 4 overs, then we batted for the last 80 overs and I opened the batting and we finished day 1 on 282 / 4 and I got 99* (176 balls). On day 2 which was today I got to 150* (230 balls) then we declared on 415 / 6 after 112 overs. We then bowled them all out for 245 and won with 2 overs left in the day and I finished with 7/42 off my 22 overs
20/20 match for us 3/9 off my 4 overs and 26 off 18 with the bat.
Got a cheeky 44 off 48 in a 40 over game yesterday then a 34* off 23 in a T20 today 💪🏽

Good I’m 14 playing the best adult grade we have where I live and got my first 2 wickets in my first over on debut
Still enjoyable vids mate but obviously not as good as go pro vision. Training vids with gopro is not a substitute lol

@ yeah the pitch was horrible though. Like a full ball would bounce up to your head and a short ball would stay low as. Canning reserve if you know where that is.

I’ve noticed that you are almost entirely bottom or right hand dominant. To the point where you push the bat at the ball. There is no top or left hand involvement in your pick up or your downswing. The downswing should start with a pulling of the left shoulder, arm and hand. Your strike at the ball is an almost no backlift push with the right hand.
The first thing you should be doing is constantly carrying and holding the bat in your left hand, which you only do when switching hands when running between the wickets. By constantly carrying the bat in your top hand you may have half a chance to train the feeling of that being a more dominant force in your overall stroke.
It doesn’t matter which bat and ball sport you play, whether it’s golf, baseball or cricket , the downswing starts with a pulling action from front side of your body. The bottom hand doesn’t kick in until much closer to the strike point.
Hockey is a game that requires more of a pushing action, but even in that game, the high power strikes start with the front side pulling the stick before the bottom hand kicks in.
Try chopping a tree down with a bottom hand pushing action and you’ll get nowhere, you have to pull the axe before you can push it or throw it with the bottom hand. It’s no different with a cricket bat.
Try doing a truck load of throw downs or underarms with only your left hand on the bat about halfway up the handle. This will help train you to pick the toe of the bat a bit higher by cocking your left wrist and you’ll have to pull the bat down to get it to the ball.
I was born without a left pec muscle and deformed upper left arm/shoulder.
So yeah I’m much more right hand dominant because my left is far weaker than many other peoples

What kind of level cricket is this? District/prem level? It seems way too serious for what it looks like. But a couple of great shots though love the content.
It’s A grade in the ECA. It’s our 2nd 11 but most other clubs 1st teams
My prediction for you is 25 runs and 1 catch and I got a duck off 4 ball and did not get a catch.

I played for my clubs 3rds but they are in the reserve grade and we batted first scored 153 all out I got 1 not out batting 11 I bowled not the best and my fielding was on point and we lost
Smashed about 60 off 25 but got dropped 3 times lol

tractically openend yesterday i came in on the second over batting in under 17s made a 10 ball duck! and in div 2 made 1 from 18*, any tips for getting off the mark while batting to tidy bowlers?
Get some top level coaching instead of thinking you’re going to get any helpful tips from this level of cricket.
Contact your state’s association and get some phone numbers or contact the nearest indoor cricket centre, they normally have coaches working from there.

And I played 20 years in the strongest club leagues in both Australia and England against professionals from multiple countries and of every level including Test and first class so I couldn’t care less about your “representative cricket”.
And getting off the mark isn’t something that requires specific attention or some specific method. Scoring your first run or your 50th or your 100th run requires the same ingredients.
If nerves or the anxiety of being on nought are affecting you then you need to work on creating silence between your ears and face up with a more calm and confident demeanour and a genuine level of trust and belief in yourself.
And practicing this is just as important as your cover drive or your pull shot.

Mate leave him alone he’s better than u and besides cricket in vic gets called off at 38 degrees u go out start filming in 37 degrees on ur phone which is bigger and cool quicker than a go pro and see if it overheats and how long
