Hi Chris, it’s such a great feeling when you can teach something different to students that actually get it and improve. Keep up the great content you provide. 👍😎
Chris, Thanks for this video. I took this to the toptracer range today and it made a big difference. I can already see the ball going straighter and longer.. It seems to help a lot with my rhythm which leads to better contact.
I just practiced what was shown here and WOW.... that soft club move at the top gives lots of time to get forward to finish the down swing....! very good teaching.... the feel to start with and then do that same feel at the top...! perfect a very well done! thx again
you are such a good coach chris. love all your golf videos. i think this is what is missing in my swing. thanks for this. pity i wont be able to go to the driving range before my game tomorrow....
A bit of a "light bulb" moment for me watching this, will try it out tomorrow. I'm very similar to your student. Thanks Chris, you always produce interesting vids
Hi Ryan I hit a lot of shots on the toe of the club and lack power and distance, any thoughts on what might be causing these toe strikes? Jeff - Gold Coast - Australia
Hey Chris, great and thoughtful content as always. Would the thought of “soft wrists” as a trigger be helpful? or will it generate more problems in the long run? Thanks!
Tough to say Jeff, it can help with a little more shaft lean at impact which can open the face, so probably slightly harder. In fact Paul found that in this lesson, initially he was achieving a phenomenal impact but the face was a little open before we tweaked it
Hope you enjoy the video, any questions let me know

So true, it’s why I love coaching. Thanks 🙏🏻

Hello Chris, thank you for this video. I have exactly the same problem and I tried the drill and it made a HUGE difference. Thank you so much!

Yep I like that! The fingers have to hold on fairly tight, but soft wrists is a great feel and idea
great coaching!
Thanks 🙏🏻
Excellent drill ! 👍👍
Thanks 🙏🏻
Good one Chris !
Thanks 🙏🏻
I see the flow a relaxed flow going to try
Yeah that’s a great word, get this right and it does really flow so great for timing too
verygood drill. does it work with short game irons
Probably doesn’t translate to short game, so ideally keep this to full swing shots
Awesome thanks Chris!
Thanks 🙏🏻
Well done Chris ya got to work on ball striking to be a better player 👏 😊
So true 🙏🏻
Would this same drill work with driver as well?
It would yes, with a few tweaks as you don’t want quite the same approach angle, but can certainly help retails the angles better in the wrists
Chris, does an umbrella swing make squaring the club face easier or harder?
Tough to say Jeff, it can help with a little more shaft lean at impact which can open the face, so probably slightly harder. In fact Paul found that in this lesson, initially he was achieving a phenomenal impact but the face was a little open before we tweaked it
