As we watched life flight take my Mama away, Dad looked at me and said, _"YOU ARE MY KIDS AND NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, I WILL NOT ABANDON YOU!"_ It was the first and only time he _EVER_ raised his voice at me.... I was a daddy's girl but I didn't have that kinda dad after the age of 8. That's when I lost him when he lost himself. He became hopelessly addicted to prescription pain meds when he hurt his back at work and things only got worse. I held out for years praying that one day he would realize how much I needed him and get help. He died 2 years ago from a fentanyl overdose. I miss him but I have been missing him long before his passing. Girls need their daddys. I'm working on forgiving him and letting go of my anger. It's so hard. 😢

Her real Dad passed away when she was young,but my fiance stepped up years after when he didn't have to. And she thinks the world of him. If you ask her, he's not her step dad. He's just her Daddy. After several failed attempts to find true love, with the breakups and heartaches, she met the love of her life. When she kept getting sick for a month, she and her doctor agreed to force menopause by a medical procedure, her doctor said to have a pregnancy test one more time before they carried out that procedure that could never be reversed. When she came back in the exam room, she was in shock. My little girl was pregnant, by a miracle only God could pull off. This song brings all of that back in a whirlwind of emotions, good and bad. I was a daddy's girl but I didn't have that kinda dad after the age of 8. That's when I lost him when he lost himself. He became hopelessly addicted to prescription pain meds when he hurt his back at work and things only got worse. I held out for years praying that one day he would realize how much I needed him and get help. He died 2 years ago from a fentanyl overdose. I miss him but I have been missing him long before his passing. Girls need their daddys. I'm working on forgiving him and letting go of my anger. It's so hard. 😢

When she brought him home to meet her old-fashioned Daddy, there was a little apprehension, and it was visibly uncomfortable. When I offered him a cup of coffee and he said yes, she knew then I liked him, he was a keeper.
Because of some medical issues with her 'female parts', the doctors told us she would never be a mother, she couldn't get pregnant. For a few years, they tried and finally resigned themselves they didn't really want children.
When she kept getting sick for a month, she and her doctor agreed to force menopause by a medical procedure, her doctor said to have a pregnancy test one more time before they carried out that procedure that could never be reversed. When she came back in the exam room, she was in shock. My little girl was pregnant, by a miracle only God could pull off.
This song brings all of that back in a whirlwind of emotions, good and bad. Great job, keep up the great work.
