Stephen is such a nerd like the rest of us, it's so cute
Timothée will do this story justice. Believe me when I say it will be a masterpiece. I have no doubts.
Your comment aged wonderfully
Aged better now that it’s been screened.
no shot you were right
You were right, indeed.
Absolutely right, my friend :)
Timothee IS Paul Atreides. He's gonna crush it.
Just as the prophecy foretold
Timothée is a perfect choice!
I haven't seen him in movies but something tells me he is the right choice for the part.
Dune was is and will remain, the best and first
And here we are!
Denis Villeneuve!!!!!!!
I love how you can tell the audience has no idea what Dune is
Yet Stephen does. I should have guessed, given his Tolkien knowledge.
The one who answered the question Colbert asked surely knows 😂
@@dex9033 See if he can "give water to the dead"...
Very few do the "big reads" anymore. Kids are too distracted with tech and over-parenting. It's ok for kids to be bored. It'll prod them to think, invent, and read world-building epics. Sad if they do read it's this Harry Potter crap or any od the YA fare.
Except that one most excellent person who shouted out what fear is "It's the mind killer!". I'm a fan of Lynch's adaptation (especially if you can find the three hour 'The Third Stage Edition' that used to be around on the internet), I understand it's flaws, but I'm so glad they got Villeneuve for this. Nothing against them as directors and what they do, but, as more action middle of the road directors, I wasn't looking forward to either Peter Berg or Pierre Morel taking it on, I just don't think they would have got underneath the skin of the story.
Might as well upload the mtv interview where he discusses the book, original film and Villeneuve, right
And boy Did he played Paul Atreides
Timothée Chalamet didn't play he become Paul Atreides
He's the best Paul Atreides no one can beat his performance in Dune and Dune part two
He is Muad'Dib Usul, Mahdi, KWISATZ HADERACH
He became the LISAN AL GAIB OF HOLLYWOOD
He deserves Oscar for Dune part two
And yes he nailed it, just rewatched dune 2 in imax couple days ago
i want to marry that woman in the audience
You can not, she is a Reverend Mother.
Zannai Face Dancer lmao that is really witty!
I'm glad I made you laugh really. So now that you're a Little happier, would you be so kind to like my comment? LOL. Joking aside, thank you so much.
I'm about to begin reading Chapterhouse.
I will love Sheeana until my dying day.
Same. Well, let's give him a chance, perhaps he was tired and a bit clueless, like the rest of us in our daily life. Remember that he has not yet completed his mentat training. LOL.
This has been my most anticipated movie of 2020 and 2021 for over a year now.
How are you now
@@Danny-er5rj Gay.
I have the litany tattooed on my back. This kid better make me FEEL it.
Giancarlo Paniccia YES!!!
Are you feeling it now?
Do you have the entire litany tattooed?
Fear? Remember........God created Arrakis to test the faithful.
That would have been a great answer.
I don't see anything but a resemblance but we'll see! If it's Dune it'll be worth watching
Timothee Chamalet sporting the Beatles haircut I see.
I just started reading Dune!
"All I see is an Atreides I want to kill."
Come, Schuiler, Timothée is a Harkonnen now. Damn! I hate to replace the baron. Please don't force me to do it.
God please let him be worthy of the part please?
he's the best actor of his generation. he will embody the character
That actor was incredible in Call Me By Your Name, I have a good feeling :D
He's definitely a serious actor
Watch The King. He is worthy of the part.
He is!
This kid needs to read the books. Steven was throwing some of the series most famous quotes and the kid was lost lol.
Go to the twitter and look into @DuneAuthor acc. He said chalamet read the books multiple times and studies the character. He didn’t ‘lost’ he simply not comment anything and pointed the audience who answered the question.
Ok that is good news then. Because I really love the books and hope he does an awesome job!
all i need him to do is deliver the line "the sleeper has awoken" perfectly
He's probably under a PR contract where he isn't allowed to promote Dune. First, he was promoting Beautiful boy. Second, the promotion has started now.
He's not allowed to talk about it. Stephen literally says "I know you can't talk about this but..."
2022...when Dune has won many awards beside 11 Oscar nominations, I can't believe that Dune even started since 4 years ago @@
so...when can I watch Wonka while it's still filming recently =]]]]
2024...i see dune 2
kwitsa haderack?
Began reading 'Dune World' in installments in 'Analog' magazine better than 50 years ago and I own the entire library. Any understanding of 'Dune' must begin with insights into Herbert provided by his son in the biography 'Dreamer of Dune'. It'll be interesting to see how they morph this fresh faced youth of Paul Atreides, already under the influence of his mother's teachings, into Muad'ib, the leader of The Fighters. Personally, I don't see the connection. Perhaps Villenueve has an eye, different from the vast Herbert audience, 50 years in the making, whom he has to convince. Don't envy the task of creating this new 'hero' for the screen.
The old woman studied Paul in one gestalten flicker: face oval like Jessica's, but strong bones... hair: the Duke's black-black but with browline of the maternal grandfather who cannot be named, and that thin, disdainful nose; shape of directly staring green eyes: like the old Duke, the paternal grandfather who is dead.
Green eyes?
He has Lily’s eyes.
Paul comes and goes. Who will be Idaho??
Aquaman
The only one who comes and goes during the series is Idaho.

The Usurper King is Dead! (Star Wars) LONG LIVE THE ONE TRUE KING! (DUNE)
Colbert asks a few questions while Chalamet giggles a lot. Okayyy... The actor doesn't really comment "on" anything at all! Hence, we don't learn anything here about the production... I get the impression this was his first guest appearance on this talk show, at least...
At that time...because of his too pure and too young look with bright smile like this, I can't picture this cute boy would be Paul Atreides - who possesses more power than a single man was ever meant to wield.
He is the Known Universe's mentat Emperor whose computational mind surpasses the greatest ancient computers and the man christened Muad'Dib whose orders to the Fremen legions depopulate planets as well,
He's also the KwisatzHaderach which the Sisterhood's breeding program had sought across thousands of generations - the one who could be "many places at once"
Worshipped as a religious icon by the fanatical Fremen, he is their LisanAlGaib/Mahdi whose merest whim is absolute command to his Qizarate missionaries - which carried their religious war across space in a Jihad whose major impetus endured only twelve standard years
ps: the way Mr Stephen Colbert emphasized Timmy's character as if he had the same feeling as mine LOL but today..we all know Timmy nailed it
Wish they would leave the Original Alone..
Cynthia Gonzales Oh you mean the book that was butchered, misquoted and made laughable by David Lynch and Toto in 1984 or the miniseries that was worlds better than the 1984 garbage but still lacked the depth the story deserved?
For the love of god these fanboys treat the movie as if it's the Citizen Kane of Sci-Fi. Yes there was some good things but there was a lot of negatives to. Some of the acting was bad or wooden, the pacing was bad, the special effects was sometimes cringey and laugh able, they left out so much of the novel, there was almost no chemistry between the actors.
@@codename495 Lynch's movie was good, could of been Star Wars level thou
JAMES MCAVOY knew the Bene Gesserit Litany of Fear before his role as Leto II the God Emperor in the Syfy Children of DUNE. He was a realife teen nerd before by time acting working class EARNED getting into a Scottish acting school, Timothy is a spoonfed USA snowflake getting into roles by his mom & family setting him on the road and good schools. I really don't care anymore but hope for sake of Frank Herbert the new movie is quality, care not for half the casting. People are SOO wanting it to be good that they are self hypnotising mantra spewing it'll good great before even seing a trailer which is still cut to look good. I felt all this for the 1st two Disney Star Wars movies and it all turned into shit, so wait until you leave the THEATER!
I'd love to know ur opinions on the trailer, casting, Still
this was hilarious
What is fear, do you know what fear is? He should've answered "if Hillary became president".
Clueless wonder.
