I was at this game. My cousin, who I've since had a falling out with, won tickets and brought me with him. Considering the fact that we were never close I was surprised that he brought me. It was a cool experience to be at the Super Bowl, even though I wasn't a fan of either team.

I weep for the version of Super Bowl XXXIII that we never got, the game between the Broncos and Vikings. The Broncos secondary did indeed get hot at the right time, but the Vikings offense was on a whole other level that year from the rest of the NFL. While the Falcons and Jets had drives that stalled in Broncos territory, I'm sure the Vikings would've finished those drives with touchdowns.
The Denver defense won his game. Yes John Elway had a great game and deserved Super Bowl MVP, but the Falcons got into the redzone many times in this game and the Broncos either got interceptions, 2 field goals out the Falcon drives, and Morten Anderson even missed a short field goal that led to the long Rod Smith touchdown the next play. In Elway's first 3 Super Bowls, the defense crapped the bed with 39,42, and 55 points. The Bronco defense couldn't get turnovers that led to points and thankfully for John Elway, the defense finally stepped up and was able to do that for him.
Look at the Bronco defenders banging their heads together before the game.... like were concussions entirely unheard of to these guys? Or was toughness still prioritized so far over safety that they didn't care the risks they were running before the game even started??
