@@beyondgalaxy1330 you cant if you are during play mode you cant edit any script or model if you are testing when you hit the "play/test" button you cant edit anything in explorer or use the placement tool (move scale rotate etc) or the terrain editor

kawaii walrus exactly. the multipliers are the most expensive but they're SO worth it, i have both of them (i've collected the gamepasses for about 6 months to a year now) and they were the last ones i got since they were the most expensive. god, if you have enough time - like 30 minutes - and you have the faster flight gamepass you can get about 30k diamonds.

audrey roblox is a game targeted towards kids, tweens, teens etc. and royale high is clearly targeted towards the younger gamers. plus it wouldn't matter anyway lol just stay away from their rps
7 million dollars is great and all, But these people did not make it from nothing. They probably have spent hours trying to code, build, and test out their game It's not easy to make money from Roblox.
Exactly... I'm a dev myself (Head Scripter for Drift Legends and Co Owner / Scripter for another upcoming racing game), and it takes hundreds of hours to make something of quality. We make cars in programs like Blender, just like someone working on any other engine would do. Lol most of the comments seem to think that we just throw together a bunch of free models from the library to make a game.

@@roias1693 I started 3 years ago, you can become pretty decent in 1-2 years in most cases (or faster if you're really dedicated!). Learned the basics in a couple months. There really is no end, even I'm learning constantly :D
Yes, but it is one of the best paying-off jobs for the hours you put in, these games probably put in about 4000 hours and got 2.3 million a year, most jobs where you get hired by someone else would probably only get you 200k for that
@@devingwithlowgonman5332 Thing is; that's quite variable. Some games which have more time put into them aren't as successful. Some games are as successful as games with half the hours.

Making a game is actually pretty difficult with all the scripting and building, so I'm not surprised that they make that much money. It's what they deserve with all the hardwork they are putting into the game ❤️

They work hard and all but do they work harder than an average McDonald's worker? I don't think so since they can work on their own schedule and work their own minutes. Also some games are very very very easy to make and take literally like a couple hours to make. aka surviver the Jeff the killer and some obbies. Also even the games that are very long to make, once they finish the game it's basically passive income from there.(besides updates and bug fixes.)
@@laffy9425 Well for them, its still a job. Its still something that they work hard for and earn money with. You can't really compare people who are smart with computers and are good at coding and making games to a person who works in McDonalds now can you? People who can make games could work in McDonalds anytime since the tasks are purely labor focused, but its different if regular McDonalds workers want to make games since they don't have the background and knowledge for it. They have to go to school and learn everything from scratch. Anyways, you can't compare 2 totally different jobs. Thats just wrong. Whats important is that they're making money out of it, something that they need to survive.
@@laffy9425 As someone who has a good memory and who's learning scripting I'd say scripting is harder when it comes to remembering stuff. Messing up one letter or symbol can make an error and break the entire script, so if you look at it when Roblox updates their coding server, the developers have to go back to fix it. Though making games and McDonalds are very different things so you can't really put any above or below. As Nyxie said, they worked hard for it and if they get paid the amount the deserve, it's alright.

Echorain, some people don’t have a great computer. On an HP Stream 14, every somewhat famous game runs under 30 fps.
I’m not running on a good device myself. It’s a laptop, but it can run generally 30-60 FPS on average.

This is actually really inspiring. I remember in 2011 my game got to the 2nd page and i was over the moon (There were no game passes or anything and I used the tix I got to either advertise or for badges). I quit roblox back because a fair few people used to complain that my game used too many free models, maybe if I'd stayed at around I'd not be so in debt lol.

Adopt me has a team of 25, and their lowest pay is 40k a year. So just from employees its (assuming all get 40k a year) its already 1 million USD a year for salary. But its prob way more because they don't all get 40k, some get more. I believe they are racking in way more than 2M usd a year. Also, it is very efficient having a team because now there are sections with people in charge of those sections, eg: Finance Team, Marketing Team, Engineering Team, Social-Media and Creative Team, having these little teams allows adopt me to get quality updates and engage more with players.

I actually started started a clothing group so that I could earn money and learn about 3d modeling, gfx, building, etc in the meantime. Hopefully, after I post my homestore, I can get hired from someone seeing my first portfolio. Then I would just work my way up from there. This is something I'm so determined to do, and thank you so much for giving out words of encouragement.
