In my opinion there should be "doo-doo-doo" hook before Perrie's verse just like they put "doo-doo-doo" hook before and after Jade's and Jesy's verses, it's one of the catchiest hook in their discography. Just like what they did to Gloves Up they put "up purrrrup" hook after the choruses.
It's a stack, not everyone will be perfectly heard, but they contribute to the melody overall, either with low vocals, depth, like a glue, etc. That's how stacks or gang vocals work. It's basically working on a "perfect" melody rather than making everyone hearable
You can barely recognize each of their tones when they stack the melody in unison but you can hear that it's 4 people singing the same exact notes, that's what the fans and non-fans audience will catch and sing along with.

She's got a lot of lines, sings the entire chorus (and adds harmonies to it), has many adlibs, background vocals (in Perrie's part) and background adlibs (the "sweet sweet melodies" part in the second part of the last chorus). Many of the distribution videos did not add double timers to her adlibs and ignored some of her background vocals.
