GWR 4144 Large Praire Tank - Chinnor & Princess Risborough Preserved Steam Railway 2023 Opening Day

Footage taken today on the first day of the 2023 season on the Chinnor & Princess Risborough Preserved Steam railway
The loco in action was GWR 4144 on loan from Didcot and arrived a few days ago. It has been repainted in GWR colours, it looked and sounded fantastic

Thank you, it’s a lovely railway. It has some steep gradients so there’s an excuse to work the loco quite hard at times which sounds fantastic

marvelous !! i remeber many many years ago the beginning of this machine preServation in BARRY SCRAPYARD
I was for a few weeks in the family who begin the work this machine was alone in a poor but important green paint to preserve from rust
