In this week's parsha (Exodus 21:1-24:18) we are in the midst of two of the most well known and epic stories in the entire Tanach: Revelation at Sinai and the Sin of the Golden Calf. The Israelites experience their highest high and their lowest low, all within the same few verses. However, smack in the middle of these two legendary episodes, we are forced to read law after law after law. Join us this week as we explore these laws and find out how they actually add layers of complexity to the epic highs and lows of the Revelation story.

Fantastic teaching and explanation of the Torah! I pray the people get acquainted with all that is written is for our benefit and well-being. That our eyes are opened and our mind of understanding may contemplate the richness of His mitzvot. Amein and HalleluYah to all who are on the Narrow Path.

The point of the Torah is that it is NOT a history book. It is a book on how G-D wants us to conduct ourselves. The "stories" so to speak are examples of how to behave and how not to behave.

Again...excellent explanation...why does the world do not know about it? What happened to the knowledge of God? Why are we so distant from that?

Thank you all for your hard work. What about the musical notes the t'amim? Can you guys do a teaching or series of teachings on how that is used for interpretation?

Shalom, some interesting ideas, and missed Sh'ma is the Foundation of the 10 Words. Then the Torah 600+ fit into the 10 Words, but each Torah can fit in more than one of the 10 words, and both columns of the Sh'ma. Yes, Sh'ma is in Deut, and and the 10 Words are in Ex, but look at it this way ... Sh'ma wraps/packages it all in 2 part bow.

At about 1:34 you say "Moses, Aaron, and the Elders ascend Sinai and see a vision of God." This is incorrect and misleading. (1) No one can see God, as he tells Moses "no one can see my face and live". (2) The Torah tells us that the ENTIRE people heard God speak.

Well, it does say no one can "see his face." He told Moses He'd put His hand over him as He passed and then Moses would see His back once He passed.
The account in Torah does say Moses, Aaron and the elders "saw God":
[Exo 24:9-10 ESV] 9 Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up, 10 and they saw the God of Israel. There was under his feet as it were a pavement of sapphire stone, like the very heaven for clearness.

What a great video . So true about the good intension and love these laws were given . But a greater principal is at stake - would a Righteous God violate His own law ? - given through Moses . If we study the law concerning divorce Deut 24 : 1- 4 and then see how God divorced the House of Israel ( 10 northen tribes ) in Jer 3 : 8 concluding in Hosea 5 : 3-4 - how is it possible for God to promise restoration in Hosea 1 : 9 or Jer 31 : 31 ?
Only through the death of Yahusha on the cross . In this death the divorce contract had been annulled by one of the parties having died . This is confirmed in the Shema in the Oneness of God ( echad ) . Demonstrated in the marraige of man and wife to become one ( echad ) In the very law this video addresses , the wife is never mentioned . " you " takes your wife into account ( echad ) just as God ( Elohim - plural ) determined .
The principal goal of Yahusha's death was the restoration of the lost part of His kingdom , which He clearly confirms in Matt 15 : 24 .
    Shalom and God bless .
