In general, this game does not scale at all for different levels of computers. You still need an RTX4090, and a top-end CPU will not be able to give stable 60 fps.
@@sobakabazuka8024just not accurate at all not to mention you didn’t mention what resolution you would run the game in etc yes this game is an unoptimised mess but something like a 3070ti even can still give you a good 1080p experience although not perfect

Wow, the difference between Low and Ultra, sure if you really look hard doing side-by-sides you can see, but almost shocking how 'very little' the difference actually is. Lower end CPU/GPUs will still get a very gorgeous game then even with Low. Good stuff.
its not good stuff, you can see that it goes from 100 fps to 70-80, it basically scales poorly, which means lesser gpu's just cant run this game at all.
I have to play this game with my 2060 on low just to get the game to run well and I can tell you it does not look like this. I think maybe the 4K is carrying here
What I've noticed both in my testing and in your footage is that low settings look so crisp and clear. And Epic look so soft and blurry. I've tested DLAA, TAA, TSR, loads of options. Can't seem to get a good looking crisp overall image. UE5 is such a blurry looking engine.
agreed. i have yet to play any of these supposedly beautiful photorealistic ue5/ ray tracing/ dlss requiring games that i actually think looks good. they are all soft and blurry and cluttered.
Agreed, you can tell this game is made to be played with upscaling, as when you turn it off entirely to try to play at a native resolution, the whole game becomes a jagged, pixelated mess. Really strange way to go, graphically, as upscaling will always lead to some kind of blurring.
U might need to use DLAA alongside a sharpness and clarity filter, Open up nividia freestyle in game and choose the detail filter, it has sharpness and clarity options those should fix the blurriness in high settings, dunno if stalker 2 supports nividia freestyle but that's how I over come the blurriness in modern games and if a game doesn't support nividia freestyle I use lossless scaling's sharpness filters
Honestly the only place you can really tell the difference is the anomalies and maybe the storms, other than that it's only some minor lighting differences
In all honesty, the game was poorly optimized when it launched. My RX6800 could barely keep a steady 40-50fps on 1440p medium settings and I have a few friends with 4090s that complain the game even drops to 20 at some places for them on 4K ultra. Let's hope they fix it down the line with some patches.
Do you have any upscaling on by any chance? If so, that might be it. Oh and make sure Light Shafts are turned on. The main settings that are heaviest are Draw Distance, Reflections and Global illumination (since the game uses forced-ray tracing)
@@gorilla1397 i do however regardless if I turn it off or off or go thru any of the options it still looks terrible. I believe the lighting and global illumination thats baked in is just in a bad state currently
Almost no difference, just grass density and ligthing in some scenes. If you compare low settings with high textures vs epic settings the difference will be negligible.
Why does this look so blurry? I betting you enabled dlss and set it on performance/balance then applied frame gen. Im playing it on 1440p, and this video didnt do the game any justice.
This game is beautiful sure. But right now it full with bugs, performance issue, memory leaks. And core element of Stalker games is not there, the ALife.
Yeah, its a shame, thought the key thing here is "right now". considering there are a lot of routines already present in the code that are just not working its pretty safe to say its going to be addressed at some point

barely any difference. it would be nice if they had actually optimized it so lower settings had good performance and less objects/ clutter/ lower textures/ more baked lighting/ no software ray tracing/ lower resolution textures/ better LODs/ culling etc.
Unpopular opinion: I don't think the game looks that good. I'm playing everything maxxed out + DLAA graphics and the lighting effects are glitchy as fuck the whole time and it just takes me out of the illusion a lot. How tf did Cyberpunk manage to look that good????? Also: I know, those games aren't open world and thus not really comparable, but I just played Silent Hill 2 Remake & The last of us part I, both maxxed out and they look so, so much better and don't have weird lighting glitches 24/7, like this game. Such a pity. I don't think the game looks that good.

I'd say 4k low looks cleaner almost, 4k epic has post processing effects like bloom which makes image hazy
