In this episode, since arriving to Thailand we wanted to explore more of the country. We have sailed extensively around the islands and explored Phuket. This time we wanted to head deep inland to explore the jungle. We take a road trip across the country to Khao Sok national park and stay in an extraordinary floating home!
Khao Sok is a man made lake and covers 162 square kilometres. The mountainous country side with stunning limestone cliffs are breath taking. Within the National park, there are around 200 wild Thailand elephants and we see one!!!

While you are there, as Aussies you should make a pilgrimage to Kanchanaburi, visit Hell Fire pass, the Bridge on the River Kwai and the war graves and museum at Hell Fire pass. it is VERY moving. The war graves and museum are run and maintained by the Australian War Grave Commission,

If you want to see some massive freshwater lakes you need to come to the states go up to St Lawrence Seaway in the Lake Erie you can sail across the Great Lakes and down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico but those things are huge , Lake Erie alone which is one of the smaller Lakes up there covers 9,960 square miles I believe it is and Lake Superior which is the largest of the Great Lakes covers over 31,000 square miles

You three deserve this little vacation getaway on your honeymoon spot on the peaceful lake. I think it’s so beautiful. Have you ever gone to the Maldives? Very similar situation with islands and beautiful crystal blue waters. We just got back from the Maldives. I haven’t seen anysailing shows on UA-cam go to the Maldive islands. There are 1200 islands ina span of 300 miles. Somebody needs to go on their vessel. Been on Safari in Africa for sure. This safari looks to be a lot different. we went kayaking in the Maldives. I got to sit in the front as well. But we were a team! Yes, we saw lots of wild & aggressive elephants too! Great vacay!

I remember those insane boats in Thailand, and once did a trip upriver from Bangkok on a boat that was equipped with a giant lump of an engine perched on that stick. Turned out to be an old six-cylinder Holden engine (Holdens still being relatively common in South East Asia, notably Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand etc in those days). How they got that mounted securely I don't know, it all looked pretty precarious but the speeds were nothing short of terrifying!
Hi guys I’ve been to Thailand on many occasion there’s 2 places I really love , Changi mai and Changi rai The northern part of Thailand I did a seven day track up there, it was one of the hardest things I ever did in my life but the most rewarding seen Wild elephants and a tiger , Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 from the big island 🏝
There long boats are impressive especially the racing ones. But if you want to see some really wild creations, ask around for a place to go see the scooter races. there almost leading in the world in hot rod scooters! I know i have imported one to the us, yall be safe!

Geez normally $800 aud per night, cheapest I could find was $669 per night for last minute booking
Yes this place specifically is expensive! (It’s why we didn’t promote the name of the place) We got a good deal and we’re upgraded to the honeymoon suite but there’s about 16 other floating homes in the national park with varying prices and tons of others that are not on the water but are in the jungle that provide boat tours. I’ve seen bungalows in the jungle go for $25 a night so you have to shop around In the app for one within your budget.
