I can forgive Jim not winning the worlds, no apology required. However a few years ago I went to watch him in an exhibition at Brierley Hill, West Midlands. He wasn't that fussed about talking to the fans, was rather indifferent about the whole night and was a real disappointment. This is coming from a massive Jimmy fan. He spoke to the young dark haired guy who works for him like shit. The best exhibition I went to was Drago, knocking in centuries for fun and sat and had a good chat with all the fans afterwards and answered any questions. Disappointed Jim.
All respect to Jimmy but he’s delusional if he thinks he was going to win 10 times at the Crucible even if he had lived like a monk. He may have won a couple, absolutely - but he was soundly beaten in many of those finals and he never had the game management to win consistently. Even O’Sullivan didn’t start piling them up until he learned how to manage long matches.
