During a stressful time of life. Moldy house. Social pressures/tensions. Wasn't sleeping right. Palpitations. Heart doc said i was fine. All sorts of things. Decided it was time to go to the ER. Ran inside to the ER desk, was standing and said "i need help" racing heart 150+ bpm. Felt like a heart attack grabber. Big lady, grandma like. Came around and said have a seat. Or i was standing, i forget. Big gentle bear hug, took a few minutes. Soft voice said to relax and slow down your breath. I'll never forget that.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Scoobtoober. It's incredible how calming techniques like gentle breathing can help in stressful situations. It’s a powerful reminder of the body's response to breathing and how a simple change can make a significant difference. We're happy you're here with us exploring these methods!
Thank you, Alice! We're glad you found the video informative. Patrick's goal is always to share practical and effective breathing techniques that can make a real difference.
We almost had a new breathing method. Back breathing ;) Thanks for the tips. I started using a pulse ox meter, great to see results and what it feels like. Hunger is not always a sure sign of oxygen dropping. Next we need a co2 meter
Haha, true enough! But, by mastering breath control, we can keep our composure even when others are panicking. After all, someone has to keep it together, and it might as well be you!
Hi GeorgieMac! Three breaths per minute can be very relaxing and is often used in practices to induce calmness. However, it's important to listen to your body and find a breathing rate that feels comfortable for you.

That's a clever idea, Scoobtoober! "Back breathing" could be an interesting twist!
When the brain has good delivery of oxygen, through adequate retention of CO2, one is very much less likely to panic for any reason.
Absolutely, AJ! Retaining an optimal level of CO2 is crucial for proper oxygen delivery and can significantly impact our emotional state.
If we should sleep and breath only through nose, what about sleep apnea?
If the flight attendants are in panic. You are allowed to be panicked ;)

Is three breaths per minute too little. I find it very relaxing and uncomfortable if i try to increase the breath rate..
