@MaharlikaAWA As for the evangelizing part, they never stopped that. I was at their "last show" at Smart City Grinds in Azusa. As for the anarchy and communism part, there was a time where some of them were at Jesus People USA (Christian Commune). I haven't talked to Sid in some time, but I would say it's safe to assume they stood strong in their beliefs.
Anyone know the name of a Headnoise track I used to listen to? It was on yt and the video had a green and black american flag that was upside down. The only lyrics I remember were "no shirt, no shoes, no service..."
@KrunchyGoodness I still go to shows sometimes. In fact im going to see Magrudergrind next week. In fact ill pass out tracts I made that share the gospel even if it gets me thrown out. I couldnt care less. Anyway Headnoise was a cool band and I had their shirt that said Dead to the World im very sad I lost it during college.
@MaharlikaAWA What are you talking about "now"? Most of this footage looks like it was from the Showcase in Corona, CA which is long gone. They also haven't played much of anything besides Cornerstone in a long time to my knowledge.
@MaharlikaAWA Yeah, I was always confused why they all moved out there. After the band quit playing, Sid came back here to socal for a while. He's in Chicago now to my knowledge and married. I know generally why Sid moved back there (not sure if he's still doing anything with the JPUSA people). If you are interested, send me a PM, and I could give you Sid's email so you can ask how they all ended up. It's no problem if you don't.
@KrunchyGoodness Well I will generalize about the scene in the northwest at the time. There was no difference from Christians Punks and Secular Punks they all lived the exact same ways did the same things and talked about the same stuff. As Christians we are lights in the darkness and we should shine brightly even if we lose scene respect. Scene points are worthless. My crown is in heaven. There are few individuals who were true Christians in hardcore and punk bands. I also was in a grind band
Go listen to Defective youth by Rez thats pretty punked out and rocks like nobody did! They paved the way for punk and heavy rock to be accepted among christian musicians
@KrunchyGoodness Because most of the bands from that era, even metalcore bands stopped evangelizing and also got away from talking or even mentioning god and many of the punk rock bands went all liberal politics like even supporting anarchy and communism. Also lots of smoking and alcohol and other nonsense in the scene. TOM Fest was really dark....
it's almost like this band is a mix between people screaming in the streets during a political protest and rap and punk, all in the same band. its almost corny, but its also pretty good. #whattheheck.
@MaharlikaAWA ...Only if the questions you ask are rude. I doubt he would get pissed off if you are genuinely interested in knowing what he believes. He's a nice guy. No offense but I am not going to make a generality of a scene like that. I am in a Christian punk band and I feel that I am a part of that scene (not that it is thriving). I prefer to look at the individuals and see what they believe. It's not as if it was ever so organized that everyone shared the same theological views.
@MartyredxMaiden What you are rpomoting is heresy claiming that verse about old and new wine is somehow a sin. You are mistaken about the point of that passage. The old testament is still true as well as the new testament being true. Christianity is a religion and its the only true religion. The old testament pointed towards Christ.
@KrunchyGoodness If I ask him a random questions like that then he is just going to get pissed and not respond or if he does respond just be all mad like "you judgmental judger!!" etc.... Anyway the Christian scene was a false christian scene for so long then it sorta came back but then got influenced with ultra liberalism and even heretical theology. And everyone is hyper charismatic.
@MartyredxMaiden I am standing up for truth like a good Christian should. And John 3:16 says salvation is for "those who believe" not everyone. I am not being mean, I am being bold which you should understand if you are punk. Fine end it.
@MartyredxMaiden resorting to insults? No I am simply calling you out. You still are avoiding defending communism with Scripture. You are going off topic now and running away. You are putting up a smoke screen.
I have to disagree, Communism minus its anit-faith pogroms is a great idea, everyone gets an equal share, and we all get the same treatment? fantastic idea, only one problem, there are infinite amounts of people and not infinite amounts of resources, so unless God himself decides to provide those resources, capitalism is the only sustainable way. But let me ask you this, who is the truer believer, the one who says I believe and then sins in secret (cont)
I love punk rock and Headnoize sounds better than most secular punk bands. They have an awesome sound. Glory to the risen King.
They take me right back to the 80's scene with local bands, love them.

@MaharlikaAWA You said, "'those who believe' not everyone" That is actually correct. Good job on paying attention to the context. Good doctrine

@MaharlikaAWA I didn't intend to sound mean. I just didn't understand what you meant. Especially the liberal part.
@MaharlikaAWA Ever meet these guys? Farthest thing from liberals you'll ever meet. More conservative then anything.
@KrunchyGoodness If I ask him a random questions like that then he is just going to get pissed and not respond or if he does respond just be all mad like "you judgmental judger!!" etc....

@BallydowseRambler So you are telling me they are George Bush republicans now?
