To help the unplug I cut the old part to two parts with soldering iron. Carefully, there is plastic under the part. The new part is little smaller and and I also detached some glow plugs "hats" so the new part was rather easy to set at place. I did not remove the egr. My car is manufactured at the end of 2013 so there was three holes to set the new part.
Did the same thing on my Daughter's 2013 Sprinter today, what an absolute arse-ache of a job! Exactly the same damage to the Housing, bad design obviously.
Great video - it helped when I changed one of these a couple of months ago. One concern - there is a small vertical hole almost directly below the housing (looks similar to a bolt hole - can be seen when the filter is removed). I could not figure out what it was for but I have discovered that turbo boost pressure is leaking from it. Do you have any idea why it is there or how it connects with the boost system?

Hi, did you use the metal clip ay 11.44 or not? I fitted it a year ago and now have a leak from the fuel hose in that area amd wondering if the pipe fretted on the clip.

This car was mine, and I was doing all the services that were nessesery and I was posting some of the car now, has 500k kilometers, and is still driving with no problem as o know bat it is not in my han at the moment. And no, the coolant did not get into the engine and stay on top. You can see coolant on top of the engine.

For wasn't difficuld to remove the agr cooler i dont know why so many people finde that difficult

nice video...how did you take off thet screw under egr cooler?
It's only one screw. You need a big extension to reach it. When you asamble it back you start from that screw.

Yes, I used it. Just said that I have 2 of them. The new part was with now clip a little bit different desgn.
Se derriten primero porque son de plástico y por culpa de la regeneración Fap que el motor se calienta mas de lo normal
please you never showed the problem with the older one or neither explained wether the coolant was getting into the engine

There was no need to remove the cuff from the egr .just had to Bending the body back
Because it's plastic, I don't want to damage it, so just to be sure.

This engine is a 2lt diesel 4 Cylinder. If you have a photo of you engie with out the cover so i can see if is the same engine.
What was the milage when you discovered this issue?
This cat is doing pretty well. Now it has almost 500k KLM. This happened around 200k miles 350k KLM
