Being an electrician, I sometimes use the side cutting plier like a hammer ( eg. tightening locknuts with a screwdriver). The old-timers told us to use the side of the plier and not the pivot joint side because it can cause the handles to get stuck. But after missing the screwdriver so many times with the side of the plier, you start using the pivot joint side instead. Hence the problem, the plier handle would get stuck. Normally, you put oil and sand in the pivot joint and you work out the grime, the plier would be good as new. Knipex is the only brand I couldn't fix. I prefer the heavy-duty Klein side cutter with a thick insulated orange handle from the "80s. It can cut 1/4" toggle bolts without ruining the blade and sturdy insulated handle. The newer heavy-duty Klein side cutter J2000-9ne would have a chipped cutting blade after few uses on bolts. I have tried Channellock, Ideal, and Knipex side cutters but always come back to Klein.
It would be interesting to see how Klein would do. The Wiha definitely has the best finish but in the end it's all about cutting power and durability. This is one of the best test I've seen on UA-cam. Good job! 😊
Great video keep them coming ! Also if you could add some prices and maybe some of your thoughts after each test . Like for example after the nail test which pliers were the easiest to cut with and which felt the best . Thanks
You forgot to read instructions of Baum before using it. As per instruction you must lubricate with cow urine and offer a small prayer before every use. Then it will perform better than knipex
