Some Pinoys who immigrated to Canada never really make it because they have not adjusted totally. Their mind is still in the Philippines. Secondly, life has become difficult for everybody (!) because the country took in so many immigrants/refugees but it cannot cope. There's pressure for everyone. For those wishing to go back to the PH, just think about your healthcare. In the US and the PH, one can go bankrupt if you get really sick. Thirdly if you have children, quality public education up to secondary, and your kids get child benefits. Many immigrants just take their citizenship then go back to their home country as long as they can get Canadian passport. This has been going on for decades not just now. Anyway, times are tough anywhere, jobs, cost of living etc. even in the PH. So good luck.
I moved away from Canada because of high taxes, low salary and discrimination. Healthcare is not an issue where I moved and in fact it's better than Canada's. No Risk it no Biscuit
tama, tiis lang at tipid first year ko rin sa canada talagang sobrang tipid di ka siguro maniwala ung tim horton starbauck at iba pang fastfood never kaming familya na pumasok kasi talagang gipit sa pera at huwag kang didikit sa mga pinoy sobrang yabang nila at paiinggutun ka nila (mostly) titirahin ka agad MAY KOTSE KA? in the end naging successful naman kami. malaki ang bentahe talaga sa mga bata sa education at career nila. dito sa atin wala talaga either underpaid ka or underemployed ka.
Struggle talaga when starting a new life in another country. Have to find ways to save and make more income. Back then, I had to work evenings while my husband works daytime to save sa baby sitter. I also went back to school in my 30s to get a better paying job. I studied nursing while working full time. It was so hard, but after 10 years naka-raos din. Got a stable job, got our first house, then a 2nd house as rental investment. Now my husband and I are in our 50s and enjoying the fruits of our labor. He just retired, house paid off, and kids grown. I’m retiring next in 2.5 yrs. We would not have had the same opportunity and experience if we stayed sa Philippines. No regrets here.
Malapit na rin kaming umuwi ng misis ko for good. We've succeeded in our dream to give our children a good education, and I've never regretted the move. My eldest will soon finish law school, and their sibling will graduate from business school simultaneously.
Sumama kayo sa tao kung saan kayo masaya Magtrabaho kung saan kayo masaya Gawin ninyo kung saan kayo masaya . and accept the fact money make life littke bit easier and admit it will eventually make you happy. At the end think about it LIFE IS TO SHORT....!!
For the people who are living in the states of America I hate to burst your bubble but US is not the center of the earth ..nobody! ( Americans think that's way though ....that is why alot of people do not like Americans...talk to middle easterns , europeans and chinese LOL) the europeans and Japanese already know when a tourist is American they will tell.you whem they open their mouth ....LOL Look at the data ?( available google search ..type OECD countries then click the parameter for almost everything ....standard.) The public education , healthcare, roads and SOCIAL SECURITY crumbling. The gap of rich and poor is so evident The rich are getting richer ( that is everywhere mind you) D.o you see any cities in America the best place to live !. NONE... The cities and counrtries who are thriving are small.populated country run by good people who love and serve their country well. Do you hear any nationalilies talk.about their countries and brag ...NO ...funny ! Mostly the Filipinos who happens to live in that particular country . This is why so much hatered around people spewing negative and unrealible facts . We all live our lives ( the best we can )nothing is walk i n the park even the riches man live and sleep in ( elon ) CASITAS. You success is base on your hard work but of course luck can be there as well being at the right place at the right time. PEACE and spread POSITIVITY❤ Gee you guys get my blood boiling hahahahhahaha
You said it right anywhere in the world pag masyadong kang ma arte.sa.life talagang you wont be contented.... maybe in Canada there is people go there that didnt make it but for my opinion i rather choice the lesser evil... yup so true maybe dyan all thing goes so high but all country in the world are experiencing a higher cost of living... im living in Australia for 25yrs and i can say that when i arrived here the mcdo is only $2.50australian dollar and it goes with unlimited drink...but now it 2024 my goodness Mcdo with drinks is $13.00 so just in that you can see how the yrs makes the basic commudities goes so up... the housing here is $450.000.for a simple 3 bedroom bungalow house a small backyard and a small front...our tax is 3x than other countries and the grocery is so unbelievable 3x high... but for me and my other.family that i carted from the philippines i still choice this one...in a simple reason that if i work here my hard work payoff with my wage not just work 8hrs and be pay for a small amout... yup it hard to find job but if you are not choicy and status person you can find so many job around...health system in Australia is not the best also but i rather be here when im sick cause i can go to the hospital without paying any $$$$ >its not us best as in the philippines if you are rich you can go to a luxurious hospital and be treated nicely...but hello you will pay.thousand and thousand of pesos... i have a cousin just have miscarriage.for 8weeks and the hospital charge them for 2days 110thousand that is deductable with philhealth ...can u imagine that if you are a simple filipino there where you gonna get that amount ...cause public hospital have so massive patient and its an.emergency..😞😞😞😞 so this is my own opinion you already in other country you settle in already make your life a bit simple to accommodate the higher cost of living pinoy always know how to fit-in, in all hardlife...why not make it there and adjust your lifestyle, i think if i can.say life in other country is not that bad...just be simple...patient... no status person... if you survive in the homeland philippines i know you will make it much nicer in other country.✌️✌️✌️✌️ 14:22
@@elviealo7981agree, im working in health sector here in the Phils if they have reasons to live in other country, has a dream to fullfill, done a research about what to expect there not just encourage only by agency. Phils is blessed with many resources, simple living of the people and if challenges come, they are so resilient but govt system is not exempted on 'bulokcracy' no matter how hard you want to change it. Im still dreaming to give chance to my children a choice to live in other country too🙏, in HIS time😊.
I’ve been in Canada for fifty years-no regrets. Canada has given me the best life. Now retired receiving two pensions no complaints. Tiaga lang at living within your means. Take care and May you have a better life in the Philippines. Some people I know after retiring daw sa Philippines came back to Canada for good again. Good luck and God Bless.
I’ve been here in Canada more than 20 yrs na, mahirap sa una but with hard work and perseverance naging successful at maganda ang buhay ng family namin and i will not trade this for anything else , i ❤️🇨🇦
You guys are funny . I’ve been in Canada for 42 years and I’m already retired and I live in Vancouver. My first 3 years was really difficult but I survived. I’m a nurse in Philippine but when I arrived in Canada, my job was cleaning the house and babysitter. Magtyaga lang and be patient. I upgraded my nursing for 18 months and I passed the exam then I applied in the biggest hospital in Vancouver. My life changed since then. Now I’m living with a good pension. I’m just lucky.. if possible, iwasan ang mga UTANG, UTANG!! At magdasal palagi…Wish you luck 🙏
Yon ang kasabihan be care what you ask and pray to God.
Time changed. 25 years ago when I arrived I got a job 3 days after as landed independent immigrant. Yet it took 5 years for me to get the real career after my upgrade studies. Fast forward after years of work I got sick. 2 brain surgeries, 53 round of chemo, 42 rounds of radio therapy. I only paid parking fee. this is canadian health care. btw, I live in Toronto.
10 years ago ok pa ang Canada , I was there at mura ang pagkain kahit minimum wage earner ka pwede ka makakuha ng bahay nuon...after pandemic nag- iba na ... my aunt from Alberto decided for good sa Pinas na mag stay... iniwan na n’ya ang work n’ya KC napupunta lang sa bills. She stayed in Canada for 17 years ...
I’m proud to say that I have been blessed here in the US. Kung maraming taong hindi nagiging successful about the life here in the US or Canada, I could say that it’s the opposite for me perhaps due to the fact that I came here right after I graduated high school from the Philippines, I immigrated here right away and finished my college and earned my Masters Degree. I was able to acquire a great career that pays very well which enables me to send my 3 children to college as well. In short it’s an advantage if you get here young and acquire an education as tool for a better life.
Its good to highlight ung totoo. Ang pinakamahirap po Canada is yung back to zero ka especially if ikaw ay nurse, engineer or doctor. You have to consider ur age and financial capability. Kaya ingat kayo duon kasi its a lie. Please also mentioned the toxic mindset of the filipino, uso din dyan ung mga pilipino na nagpapalayas ng kamag-anak, due to hosehold chores and its really petty. Madami ding marites especially sa Calgary SE (d ko nilalahat pero cguro based on my past experience.. valid ito). Kaya guys dobt judge those people na umaalis ng Canada, they have there own reasons and bad experiences that we are ourselves is beyond our control. Hindi sila mahina, weak, walang pag titiyaga its just like it didnt work our for them.
Thank you for being transparent about Canada’s current situation. It’s not really for everyone and there are A LOT of things to consider before deciding to migrate. At first, we were so eager to fly in Canada but USA have more opportunity, specially to healthcare workers.
ganda po ng inyong vlog. we are living proof. lived in vancouver only for 10 years. its really struggle there kahit wifey is an rn at VGH and i have my own business and even we accommodated foreign students. moved to US as we have an option. before we left bought a rental real estate. 25 years now in the US and no regrets. now receiving pensions from both countries. good luck sa inyong mga pinoys na nariyan.
May business kami doon and it's doing well, pero mahirap pa din.
Aq ay isang janitor full-time, at merchandiser par-time. Single parent with 1 child. By God's grace, may sariling bahay, 3rd hand n sasakyan. Citizens n kme s province n hndi BC or Ontario.
For us at that time mahirap talaga mag upgrade para maging Canadian RN kaya andito na kami sa US para magpractice ng nursing as RNs. Were still proud of being Canadians pero umais kami dahil diyan.
As far as job hunting depende rin. For me, i don't care kung mas mataas ang sweldo sa ibang bansa. ❤🇨🇦❤️
I read good reviews from here unfortunately they been in canada 20 to more years ago. It got me thinking if what their experienced is still relevant today since a lot of people mostly from developing countries wants to go in Canada. I hope di kayo mabudol and think wisely if is it really worth it since most of the things which most of us thinks are important (like material things even education) are losing its value. Im happy for you for striving so hard for the betterment of your lives.
Free ambulance pag transfer to specialized hospital for kids.
There are times, wait time to be seen is 15 hours, and I am not kidding. Average is 3-4 hours wait and again, it will depend kung anong reason why you are seeking treatment. Kung chest pain and shortness of breath siyempre uunahin kang i-triage. O kaya, sakay ka ng ambulance. I guess ang pagkakaiba ay yung specialties. Example may cancer and kailangan ng MRI/CT scan, Oncologist, or Surgery, sa US ay mabilisan…. lalo na kung sa malalaking hospital ka mag si-seek ng treatment. In a week or two meron ng plan of treatment. Please correct me if I am wrong…
In Canada, I’ve noticed most company rely on referral than total stranger. And yes I agree, change the expectation and lifestyle and you will survive. You just need that one opportunity and you are good to go.
Daming blogger na SINASABI Sarap dyan....tell to the marines..nagtrabaho ako SA Boston at sa new York after 5 years umuwi ako at nag negosyo dito talaga ang happiness na tunay walang pressure simple living kasama pamilya mo at friends.
Thank you very guys for sharing and uploading your video yes ang daming mga kababayan natin nagihirapan na sa sobrang mahal na ng mga bilihin dito sa Canada. God bless you always.
Welcome to Canada Alwin n Emma...You both doing a good start. Financial literacy is a must, live within your means, upgrade credentials (13yrs in Canada, Cdn.Citizen, Saskatoon)
I hope you have a license to fly your drone unless it below 250 gms. Anyway going back to your topic, many newcomers has a different expectation vs reality. I have noticed a lot of Filipino newcomers masyadong maselan, ayaw muna mag tiis, gusto agad maganda tutuluyan or sasakyan mga tipong instagramable muna, tsaka na isipin ang consequences. Marami din Filipino vloggers na nag encourage pa ng bumili ng sasakyan sa dealership even student or working permit pa lang. Di pa nakakabawi sa mga ginastos, uutang pa even though interest rate is not favorable.
It depends on your background, if you have a degree in finance u'll be hired at no times. But you have to have experience in different type of Accounting Software. Tried to take a contract works with higher pay but it's a short terms work, but if the company buy out your contracts you can work as long as they need you.
Regarding heatlhcare, in Canada they do not prioritize non emergency.. people should aware what are those listed in non emergency. BUT there is no such thing as free - kasi kinakaltas lahat ito sa sweldo mo para na din paluwagan. AND also never forget to get insurance. Insurance from your work is fine too.
if wala kayong trabaho, it does not matter kung how low or high the cost of living any country sa mundo. waley pa rin. dapat kasi experienced kayo sa jobs na in demand bago kayo lumipad. so usually these are in healthcare and IT. hindi yung LPN lang,, at least RN then meron na kayong fighting chance sa abroad
Thank you so much Emma and Elwin for sharing your experiences in living in Canada. It’s choice and dream to go abroad to work and live. But it’s not for everyone. There’s is no place like home. Around the world the cost of living is high. Covid is one of the reason for that. When the whole world virtually on standby. The economic all over the world suffers, which affects everyone of us. I believe the world is starting to recover but it will take time. Life in general wherever you are is hard, lots of struggles, challenges and bumps along the way. From my own experience, work hard, lower your expectations, embrace the lifestyle of the country you’re chosen to live, work and bring up your family. Most of all pray for guidance, health, grace and opportunity from the lord above. Take care and god bless. 🙏❤️😊
Great topic for discussion! Thank you for this, and i like that this content was created based on research. Ang healthcare kc is free kaya super tagal ng hintayan. Tbh, we are hurting for professionals e.g physicians, surgeons, staffing etc. In the Phils, pg may pambayad ka, matitingnan ka agad. So our healthcare system in Canada is broken, unfortunately. Factor din i would like to add is age. I came here when i was 23 yo in 2006. I sponsored my parents in 2009, and that time they were only in their 60s. But because of changes in my work status, i had to reapply the sponsorship in 2014. They finally arrived in 2018, but they were already 10 years older. It was harder for their bodies to continue to work plus the depressing weather here in Metro Vancouver, so they went home to the Phils. I wish you and your family goodluck in your journey here in Canada and may you two find happiness!
in the first place, if you think you have a better life in the Philippnes, why bother immigrating.... America or Canada is not a place of milk and honey.... anywhere you go, you have to work your ass off to advance or better your life.... do not outspend yourself.. save a percentage of your take home pay... at least 15 to 20 percent.... spend on what you need and not what you want.... and don't compete with anybody, just mind your own growth... this is an advice from an immigrant living in peace and comfortably... Good bless
Hello Alwin and Emma relate much s nyo kaya nagustuhan ko kayo ma follow kc wala kayong tintago anu buhay s Canada at bilib ako s decision nyo mgtuloy magtuloy s new journey ng family life nyo d2. Citizen n dn just like what you read earlier iba n ang Canada now maganda noong 2010 taas p ng palitan ng money noon mas mataas ang 🇨🇦 kesa s 🇺🇸 n palitan noon.
Hi, would you be open to leave big city in exchange for a smaller city or town, or county? Some work, are more easier to apply in a smaller city as the bigger cities has way more competition. One of my friend left Edmonton to go to a smaller town. Nakakita sya ng job aligned sa natapos nya and after couple of years balik sya sa bigger city and easily nakahanap ng trabaho kase may work experience na sya.
Be competitive, there’s a lot of work in other provinces. If you don’t want to work more than 8hrs, go to school. Go for IT and Medical, etc. Do a research what career to take.
Well it depends for me I work here in Canada 1994 to 2016 then retire but for me I prefer in this country especially for our health no worried especially seniors well cared and all.free. thank you
Tama maghihintay ka daw talaga ng matagal kundi rin emergency talaga as per my hubby na Canadian (local) and u are right about the politics, hirap humanap ng work kahit mga local na jan..racism correct merong part na ganun sila..and cost of living talaga specially sa mga housing Base sa mga sinabi saken and napapanuod ko sa news and vlogs like this.
Sa canada i applied 100 times tailored fit for each position got inteviewed for 1 position only no job offer. Sa usa i applied 5 times got 3 job offers
Ngaun lng aq nka nuod ulit mam ema & sir alwyn, simula last Sept nanuod nq sainyo, d nga po basta basta ang canada, mnsan sarili mo pang kapatid ang tatalikod sayo😢.
Ayoko jan sa Canada, malamig kasi 😂 and you need multiple jobs just to keep up with your basic needs. A lot of my friends look more older at their younger age..Red flag for me. 😅
salamat namn at nag vlog din kayo ng mga hindi maganda sa Canada. madalas kasi puro magaganda lang sa Canada ang nababanggit sa mga vlogs. lagi na lang hindi maganda sa Pinas at mabuti pa daw sa Canada. its true mas malaki ng sweldo sa Canada compare sa Pinas lalo na kung icoconvert mo sa pesos pero kung pagdating sa cost of living, mas malaki ang kamahalan ng pamumuhay sa Canada compare sa Pinas. real talk... ang totoong dahilan lang namn nating mga filipino kaya tayo nag aabroad is to find an opportunity for a better standand of living. kung marami lang trabaho sa Pinas at malaki ang sweldo, hindi na tayo aalis, dba? hindi kailangan ng universal health care kung malaki ang sweldo katulad sa US kasi kakayanin mo bumili ng health insurance. most of the time nga sagot pa ng employer ang health insurance sa US. nwys, tnx for this vlog. mabuhay kayo kabayan!
The best talaga huwag mong dalhin familya kung di ka pa stable ,next Aral ka muna ng PSW FOR 6 months ,RPN for two yrs , TYAGA LNG TALAGA taga Windsor ,Ontario aq awa ng dios nakaraus nmn ,33 yrs na aq here nadala ko yung 2 daughters ko mahirap talaga pero tyagaan lng no choice kc no good work back home ,now senior Sitzens aq ,
Dyanbsa British Columbia. Nuong 80s super mura pa ang bahay @cost of living.
That’s the same in Australia! I don’t think it’s just Canada 🤔 my brother lives in Calgary. I live here in Australia we compare the cost of living and it sounds like Australia is also high cost of living. The good thing is we get good wages here .
Huwag gumastos beyond your means ika nga.
Plus mahirap pag wala relatives My husband was able to do same job as in the Phils Ako din lucky at least na accounting parin ang naging job ko.
Obvious na alwyn and emma are in the road to prosperity here in canada pero may napansin lang ako sa mga ibang commentators sa mga vlog nila na always saying "lipat na lang kayo dito sa US" o "hindi maganda sa canada" blah blah...wala pa naman silang experience na hindi kanais nais dito. For me, if i'm happy here why should i move to another country? baka dun pa ako mapapahamak. High salary should not only be an option.
Hello alwin at emma, tga calgary din kmi..always nmin watch ung mga videos nyo. Looking forward to meet you sa calgary.
Hi 👋 any recommendations for a family doctor in Winnipeg? Don't know anyone and have no idea where to find it. A recommendation would be highly appreciated. Thank you
Hi po, pwede nyo po ba topic is about on how not to struggle living in Canada. Do’s and Don’t po para awareness for those who wanted to come here. Thanks 🙏
Mas mahal the cost of living dito sa Sydney Australia minimum house price her in Sydney 3 bedrooms house is. One million three hundred thousand dollars. Our minimum wage is $ 28 to 35 an hour. Residential unit is about $500 to 700 thousand dollars. Rent here is about $600 to 800 a week.... minimum lunch or dinner is about $ 18.00 Mas mahal cost of living dito.
If you are not rich in the Philippines you will struggle. At least in another country like Canada healthcare and family is available, the government will support you will get help. What's in Philippines?
Kahit saan bansa Ka basta masaya Ka!
"Health care" are you serious ?Canada is becoming 3-rd world country, run by WEF!

Proud lang ako dahil magtatapos sila sa finest university in Canada.
Ala kami pake 😂

Live a simple life owning less things.

Phils is blessed with many resources, simple living of the people and if challenges come, they are so resilient but govt system is not exempted on 'bulokcracy' no matter how hard you want to change it.
Im still dreaming to give chance to my children a choice to live in other country too🙏, in HIS time😊.

Fast forward after years of work I got sick. 2 brain surgeries, 53 round of chemo, 42 rounds of radio therapy. I only paid parking fee. this is canadian health care. btw, I live in Toronto.
The host country cannot accomodate all those immigrants if The influx of people is tremendous not just Filipinos coming.

I’ve been in the US for more than 18 years and so far we haven’t experience any problem with regard to jobs and healthcare.
U just have to choose ur hard. Kz parehas ka mag eexert ng effort at time.
In Canada, I’ve noticed most company rely on referral than total stranger. And yes I agree, change the expectation and lifestyle and you will survive. You just need that one opportunity and you are good to go.

Below 249g po drone ko.
Even locals in canada leaved their country and migrated to asia for the same reason, canada was not liveable enough,it was not the same 10yrs ago...
It depends on your background, if you have a degree in finance u'll be hired at no times. But you have to have experience in different type of Accounting Software. Tried to take a contract works with higher pay but it's a short terms work, but if the company buy out your contracts you can work as long as they need you.
Bakit naman, anong work ba Ms. Emma ina - applyan mo? Bake depende naman, let's say healthcare nurses ay medyo madali kesa table works.
Good bless

Living and retiring in a foreign land is not for everyone. Home is where your heart is ❤.

Be competitive, there’s a lot of work in other provinces. If you don’t want to work more than 8hrs, go to school. Go for IT and Medical, etc. Do a research what career to take.

nwys, tnx for this vlog. mabuhay kayo kabayan!

Hanapin nyo yun c “Inday Roning Adventure” dyan daw sa Canada. Makakaraos daw mabuhay dyan. Hindi sinabi Kung saan probinsya.
Wala dito si Inday Roning sa Canada. Sa Florida, USA siya nkatira
I came to canada wayback 2008 yong mga panahon na yong mura pa ang bilihin at pati upa ng bahay ngayon lahat tumaas ang yong sinasabi nyo na mas mganda pa sa pilipinas tumira hindi ako pabor dun kasi sa pilipinas pag nagkasakit at na ospital ka milyong ang gagastusin mo at hindi tatanggapin pag wala kng pang down, dto sa canada lahat libre pagdting sa hospital at lahat ng doktor's check up mo libre yang lang ang masasabi ko.
Don't ever give up life challenges .Who said is going to be easy. It took me 45 years.
Dyanbsa British Columbia. Nuong 80s super mura pa ang bahay @cost of living.
Canada has the highest cost of living among western countries 🇨🇦
That’s the same in Australia! I don’t think it’s just Canada 🤔 my brother lives in Calgary. I live here in Australia we compare the cost of living and it sounds like Australia is also high cost of living. The good thing is we get good wages here .
Request lang po , post nyo naman po what are the one million reasons why people immigrated to canada
Im here as janitor but still surviving it up to you hiw you can adopt the culture.
same goes to New Zealand. laki ng changes
Hindi naman! Huwag gumastos beyond your means ika nga.

My husband was able to do same job as in the Phils
That's why we have to upskill or switch to a high-paying career.
For me, if i'm happy here why should i move to another country? baka dun pa ako mapapahamak. High salary should not only be an option.
Before you go to Canada you have to expect for the worst and hope for the best. Work hard to achieve ypur goal.
Hello alwin at emma, tga calgary din kmi..always nmin watch ung mga videos nyo. Looking forward to meet you sa calgary.

Of course anjan na lahat kung andyan ka u need to do all sacrifices...at the end may mapupuntahan din....
Hay!
Done sub. Thànks for sharing dagdag kaalaman

Rent here is about $600 to 800 a week.... minimum lunch or dinner is about $ 18.00
Mas mahal cost of living dito.

If you are not rich in the Philippines you will struggle. At least in another country like Canada healthcare and family is available, the government will support you will get help. What's in Philippines?
That's a Philippine problem not Canada. Why not make Philippines great again?
Kahit saan bansa Ka basta masaya Ka!

Horny man
