I just saw Lamb of God a few nights ago in Vancouver! It was insane! Unfortunately, Willie Adler had to sit out this time because he tested positive for COVID, so Phil Demmel filled in!
I've seen Lamb Of God once back in 2018 when they were one of the Supporting bands for the Slayer Farewell Tour at Toronto and they're a awesome live band for sure. For my favorite Lamb Of God album is hands down "Ashes Of The Wake".
Great video, pleasure to hear you, as always. My favourite album is "Wrath". I really enjoy that mixture of metalcore, groove and thrash. And there is my favourite LoG track "Contractor" with that frenzied, intense part which make me go "ape shit" :D
The self titled album actually kick started my love for LOG, I was going to the metal tour of the year so I figured I'd familiarize myself with them. And my god was I in for it, I generally don't listen to the songs on youtube just to be fully surprised and listen when I get the albums so when I got Ashes, and Sacrament I was hooked and I picked up Sacrament after the Metal Tour. After that night seeing them live I came home and got their discography to finish what I had.

I'm glad you did a ranking of one of my all time favorite metal bands; here would be my ranking; S - Ashes of the Wake, Sacrament A - New American Gospel, As the Palaces Burn, Wrath B - Burn the Priest, VII: Sturm und Drang, Omens C - Resolution, XX: Legion, Self-titled
Great video! Glad you got on this bands discography. Here's my ranking 1. Sacrament 2. Ashes of the Wake 3. As the Palaces Burn 4. Wrath 5. Sturm und drang 6. Omens 7. Resolution 8. New American gospel 9. Lamb of God
Lamb of God is a band I never truly connected with. I can get down with “Laid to Rest” and “Desolation” and the like, don’t get me wrong; but I end up having the Disturbed issue where everything just sounds and feels the same. My favorite album is Resolution, but even then it’s a 4/5 from me.
Completely with you on Ashes of the Wake. That album doesn't have a single bad riff. It's fucking riff city, but hell, the drums and vocals are killer too, it's just a masterpiece.
You can do what you want, but I'd like to see you review every Kreator album (even though they're probably not as legendary as all the other bands whose discographies you've reviewed.)
I see we went to the same tour since I got that same shirt! 🤘. Also Wrath is probably my favorite. There was something about that album when it dropped. It was like in the height of crabcore and brooooootal breakdowns and that album just destroyed everything metalcore that year!
Personally here’s my ranking 10: VII Sturm Und Drang 9: Burn The Priest 8: Wrath 7: Sacrament 6: Omens 5: Lamb Of God 4: Ashes Of The Wake 3: New American Gospel 2: Resolution 1: As The Palaces Burn Legion XX can be 6.5 or something
Was waiting for you to get to AOTW to see if I was the only one that felt that was their best album. There is something about that album. The production too just sounds so perfect and distinct. Kind of like how slipknots IOWA just has this certain deep sounding perfection to the production.. same type of thing here for me. And the guitar just has thus totally different than anything else sound. Along with the bassy drums and Randy’s inward growls 😈🤘❤
I think Sacrament gets a bad rap, but admittedly I'm biased as it was my first LoG album, then I went back and listened to Ashes of the Wake and was blown away. "Forgotten (Lost Angels)" is such a good track, though.
I feel like Wrath is their best lp. Set to fail as a single is so good and it never gets the respect it deserves. Contractor is an all time banger. Id probably say that Wrath is reminiscent to Pantera's Great Southern Trendkill by how unwaveringly heavy it is. No Skips, all hits. Easily a 4.5-5.
maybe a bit unpopular ranking but whatever S: Sacrament, As the PalacesBurn A: Sturm Und Drang, Ashes of The Wake B: New American Gospel, Wrath C: Omens, Resolution D: Burn The Priest F: Lamb Of God
👍 this review and how u gave love to each album and not just palaces and ashes even if they're the best the others aren't far behind 👍👍👍 their jesus built my hotrod is maybe the worst cover ever sucks all the life out of that song 😭😭😭
I never understood the hate for Resolution. For me, it is clearly their best album. Sure, songs like Guilty/Cheated took some time for me to get into, but I love them now as well. Resolution is my go to workout music
Thank you. I feel the same way you do about their self titled slbum. Boring and forget able and ill likely never listen to it again. Omens was way the fuck better
I’ll take Sacrament and Ashes of the Wake any day 5/5. Wrath is in no way anything above a 2.5/5. Resolution is maybe a 3/5. Josh Wilbur is the wrong answer for LoG. He is way too rhythmic instead of groove oriented.

I think Phil demmel has filled in on bass for John Campbell too! Great fit for Phil
@@yoiamhere4737 Also, Willie refused to get vaccinated and despite Canada lifting all its border restrictions last week, he still wasn't allowed in!

I dig all their albums, especially Ashes and Palaces. The only one that was just average for me was Resolution. The new one, Omens, is fantastic.
“NUCULAR blast” 😂🤘
Indeed, Ashes is their best, at least it's the only one that doesn't require the skip button, but does the repeat all tracks one.
