He taught the disciples the Lord’s prayer, then he taught them to pray that God would send laborers. Still further he showed the Pharisees an example of a sinner, how to honestly confess your sins. Next, he taught the disciples to pray persistently like the widow, pray unceasingly till u don't receive it. Again he prayed to his father for his disciples to be united, just as he & his father were one.
Next he prayed at Gethsemane, then at his cross to forgive them for crucifying him. And today, seated at the right hand of his father, he prays for us sinners. His life was practically prayerful. He's the son of God, but also a man of prayers.
Remember that preaching all the time, u may become proud & busy and go away from God; But, those who remain prayerful, will never lose their relationship with Him. Choose Prayer over Preaching.
You say you can't pray? Because you talk too much to people, then nothing left to speak to God & no time left for him. Why do u ask all info from everyone? Why must you know everything? U interfere too much & waste time, are you a history maker to ask unnecessarily? Do u have a battery that you can talk so much? 😛 *Those who speak much with people, speak lesser to God & vice-versa. The lesser you speak, the lesser you will sin. Gossip starts when you ask, "Tell me more?", u start sinning then by telling about people, why do you have so much lust speaking? Control & stop chattering & flattering.* You lose your strength talking to others, so you have no energy left when you come to pray & speak to God. If u speak to God as much to people, u will be filled with his power. U give him your weaknesses and he will exchange it with his strength. U don't need to wait for an empty room or home to pray. He prayed in the jungle & on the mountains. He wasn't born in a rich family, no personal room, had siblings too. Don't depend on having a place & give reasons for not praying. Ask him to help u to pray. Move ahead & higher levels in prayer. Subject your body, discipline yourself, tell him about all that disturbs you, people who hurt or offend you. Tell him all your troubles than telling them to people, they will spread rumors.
I never ask for material things, but my bike was in a bad state & when it crossed the limit, i asked God for a new bike & he provided. I didn't pray a long extended prayer, not selfish prayer of praising and then asking, i simply said i can't bear it any longer, too much trouble with the bike. Be simple & pour your heart to him.
Whenever a ship is about to wreck, they throw out the luggage and cargo to lighten it. So too prayer is like throwing up all in your burdened, stressed, worried, heavy heart, simply lighten it, because he loves you. He rested after creating the universe, he calls you to rest too.
From today speak less to people & more to God.
Prayer is not just asking for things, move on to a higher level. To share yourselves with him is called prayer.
Lord, Those who pray fulfill God's will, but those who don't pray, argue & fight over minute issues. Teach us to be prayerful and peacemakers.
