This lesson was perfect! I've only lived in london for like 4 months now and it's not like they don't teach maths in my own country, but I really needed the vocabulary so thank you so much
And, the symbol (→) reads 'tends to' or 'approaching towards'. Like x→0 means 'x tends to zero' . This is used in limis, a calculus concept where you limit your function. lim ₓ→ₐ f(x ) reads 'Limit of x tends to a on f of x'
9:30 Hahaha, it's really hard for me to read it in 10 seconds even in my mother tongue... But I did it correct in english in a little big longer time :)
Well done then! That's why we said you can pause the video if you need to as we understand that someone might need a little more time 😉 Nonetheless great job! 😄 Come back for a new test every week ☺️
You can do it! Try again, eventually it will be a piece of cake! Just like this video explains ➡ ua-cam.com/video/3IB-pIMnEOg/v-deo.html Thank you for your comment! 🧡
Math is an abbreviation for mathematics. Therefore, math is already plural, so you don't add "s" to math especially if you are proposing to be teaching and explaining English. You also add an "s" (or "es") to "collective nouns" such as "data" Thanks
'Maths' is not plural (mathematics" is a mass noun and usually takes a singular verb, such as "Mathematics is my best subject" ) it's a preferred term in the United Kingdom (as opposed to 'math' in the USA). Both are correct 😁 thanks!
So it's, Six minus five in bracket times four plus four point seven plus two cubed minus seven tenth is not equal to the square root of two hundred fifty seven? Do we use is not equal to or are not equal to? 😂
That's a great question... we say "is not equal to". I can see why you could think it clould be "are" as there are so many numbers but we should see each side of equation as one . This is why we would say "two plus two equals four" as opposed to "two plus two equal four". In the long example you mentioned you could also say "does not equal". Hope it helps. Again, this was a good question 😉
That was perfect, thank You very much 🙏❤️❤️❤️
Glad you liked it! 🎉
thanks you’ve teached me a lot (i’m actually arabic)
