Seahawks fan here. I couldn’t believe you guys stopped running the ball. It was absolutely gashing us. I was at the game and you could see the run lanes from the stands.
I said the same thing. Miami could have run for 200+ yards. Instead, Miami tried to make a QB out of a terrible QB. Seattle is giving up 150+ against the Lions if not more.
Crazy because that seemed to work just fine the last few years when the media & fans were gobbling mcdaniels nutsack. Sports are highs & lows. You take the ebbs and flows of the games.
He’s a players coach. The guys really like him. News to Mike M. That only works when you win. If you lose they’ll run you out of town. Special Teams coach should have been fired at the end of the game. That was an embarrassment.
This is not on the coach I’m sorry. This is on the garbage azz gm not gettin key players for the oline to begin with. He banked on the fat that Tua was not going to get hurt. We were always one solid hit or sack away from Tua getting hurt.
@@anthonyurgitano2114 it’s on both. Mike is making the grocery list and Grier is doing the shopping. Problem is that Grier is a poor talent evaluator and for some reason he is untouchable in the eyes of Ross.
It's too bad we can't fire and owner. Ever since Ross bought the team we've been a punchline. From our ridiculous new logo, to the hiring of unqualified "wanna-be" head coaches and GMs.
Vic Fangio is laughing out loud....This all starts at the top ...ROSS is incompetant and should have fired Greir a long time ago....I remember the Josh Rosen deal just to name one and all the wasted draft picks (duds) over the years..Grier has messed up this club for a long time .
I’m not a Miami fan, but I enjoy the game and your commentary, Kyle. I couldn’t agree more with your analysis on this game. This team has far too much talent to have performed like this. It has to be the coaching and play calling hubris.
Weapon utilization, in game decision making, clock management, never wins challenges, burning time outs, WAY too many penalties, etc.The list of McDaniel's failings goes on and on and on. And none of this speaks to his inability to lead and motivate men. What good are some creative play calls if you don't know when to use them. I'm so disgusted.
Even in year one, McDaniel was exhibiting a kind of in game buffoonery that instantly had me questioning whether he was going to improve. He constantly proves me right about my initial impressions. He’s not HC material, he’s barely OC material and he’s trying to do both. This was another horrible coaching hire due to not having football minded ownership.
I admit I drank the McDaniel cool aid the first 8 games of last yr- then I saw him get out coached several times- the clock mgt issues are a sign of lack of discipline
@@pabloastudillo6903 Yep, when looking at the Dolphins record against teams 500 or below compared to teams with a winning record under McDaniel, it's brutal.
@@Jason-lk9yi Yeah and now we are losing to bad teams as well. One ball punch away from being 0-3. Beat down by the Bills at home with half of the D injured and that was with Tua for the majority of the game.
@@BTC_Reefexactly! People seem to be saying this game justifies tuas contract. Nope hes bad too. Not as bad maybe but still bad and his brain is jelly. Time to start over
I hope you were able to enjoy other facets of the experience in Seattle, whether you're local or traveled because I'm sure no part of the actual game was fun.
That is what I saw too. Bad body language and poor effort. Could it be the players knowing, even with Tua, or without, they are not a good team. The team had to many question marks this off season that most had to work out well for the team to be good and they are not working out. All 5 olinemen, CB and WR 3 and 4, no TEs, safeties, tua, lbers?
@@theodoresmith5272 I don’t think Tua is the fix all even if he comes back. The offense looked bad with him to start the year. I honestly believe we are just a bad team across the board right now
Even with Tua this was an 8 win team at most. They are so easy to predict it almost takes the fun out of betting against them. And I'm a huge fan for years, but I'm a betting man as well.
I stopped watching the game..Your supposed to enjoy watching your favorite team, and all I felt was frustration..So I shut it off, and I went to the gym..I had a great workout..Fans enjoy your life, don't watch overpaid players not do their job..This was really embarrassing..
I do the same! Over the last few years I've taken a much more casual approach to football and this team. I watch but don't let myself get worked up and stop watching us they look bad. I'm not subjecting myself to that when I can do me enjoyable stuff. These athletes are overpaid as it is. I don't need to support them.
Bro yesterday was first time I turned a game off I think maybe ever. For some reason the frustration and play I was just like this isn’t professional football.
Kyle, You are always so measured and spot on with your analysis, but this game brought out what I think you have been hesitant to say, but finally have said it. Thanks for not being a bootlicker when it comes to this coaches shortcomings. Hubris and malpractice perfectly describe this coach and his madden football mentality.
I couldn't agree more and it needed to be said. Red flags went up for me when Coach was asked about the OL and he said, "good enough". Now I'm dreading his word salad BS about this one.I can't believe you don't have more followers. You are the best.
I feel like Thompson is one of those few guys that actually likes being a backup. He has never looked like he wants to be the starter, and that's very bad
Skyler Thompson’s pocket and situational awareness along with his inability to make quick decisions have always been issues. Since his rookie year, he sits in the pocket and pats the football. I coach high school and have never seen a kid so indecisive that they pat, pat, pat the football. For him to buy time at the end of the first half and not throw it to the end zone just shows his inability to know the situation and throw it up.
Mike M. said in an interview it was between Skyler or Brock Purdy. Dolphins were also interested in Purdy and chose Skyler instead. That was a really bad move.
The body language of the players in the last two weeks says it all, they no longer believe in McDaniel. You best player Tyreek Hill is looking like there is no point running flat out anymore,it's a waste of effort if i know the ball is not coming to me. I don't see McDaniel lasting to week 8.
Kyle, you've reiterated everything I've been ranting about since the end of the game. There's no good reason why Skylar had more pass attempts than Achane had carries. Absolutely ridiculous
For a team who's forged an identity over the last few decades as SOFT - is a coach who acts like he's a councilor at Camp Good-times really the guy to instill toughness in this pathetic team?
@@waynepatrick1646 Pete Carroll's teams played HARD for him. The game passed Carroll by, but his players playing their asses off for him allowed him to still have (barely) winning seasons with flawed teams.
Boyle spins it better and works the play better and quicker the Thompson by a mile. This coaching staff couldn’t see that before the game? No clue. The shimmer/shine is officially off McDaniel. Poorly called plays. Poor zone defensive scheme. Poor discipline. Poor personnel decisions. Come to find out Tua was the only thing holding it all together. Regardless of what is to become I should’ve seen Skylar Thompson with the ball in his hands for the last time.
Sorry but Thompson with 3 years in this organization and can’t show any sign of QB can run this team . It’s just terrible to watch this team how they run the offensive plays .
@@oscargarza3507 At least Skylar can get us the 1st pick in the draft. Either want a Ring or the 1st pick and with Grier and Mac we will never win a ring, so 1st pick is the next best thing.
Kyle, now that's what I'm talking about! This podcast had heart and made a real statement. And you are soooo right. McDaniel will probably get another extension on Monday.
Our O line is terrible..Robert Jones and Eichenberg are horrible..Armstead was done two years ago..Wynn is good but injured for a long time, but no decent backup for him..Grier..We knew the O line was trouble, but nothing was done to remedy the problem..Brewer is playing well...Robert Hunt should have been signed early, and now Jackson's play is declining because he is next to Eichenberg..Terrible planning by Grier.. Injuries abound.. Enough said..Love the show fell Dolphins sufferer..
We all say this last year, then we let hunt leave. We only got worse. We got nothing to help. Paul isn’t in there. So many draft picks in good teams playing their rookies first string. Like I always say Grier can’t find offensive lineman in a room of all pro offensive lineman. McD is given garbage to work with. He’s making the best of it. Our roster is 20% less than last seasons team. I’m not sure where everyone thought we were better. I knew this going into otas. Grier got us no off line help when teams cut their rosters to 53. A lot of good players out there. Trade for a second string guy. I’m worried Grier will try to save his job and trade away what we need long term to succeed for quick wins. The one thing we do know is Tua elevates this team from garbage to playoff team!!!!! Who’s arguing now?
Agree with everything you’ve said. But, the one area no one seems to talk about is the dolphin's scouts. I guess Grier is in that category also. It seems to me these guys wouldn’t recognize talent if it came up and slapped them in the face! Ross needs to step up and fire the whole lot and start over! Just my opinion
Good commentary and analysis. I am a Bills fan, and I have to say, I feel your pain. I have never liked McDaniel, and this game proves it over and over. He may be a QB fixer or guru, but he is no game planner and certainly cannot operate on what we use to say in the army, "maximum flexibility." He is a very poor clock manager (you see it by the lack of urgency by players on the field) and poor decision making in in game situations. He seems to not prepare his team well. You would think the run game would be utilized more but it isn't. The Phins have a very good run game and it all but disappeared. McDaniel doesn't deal well with injuries to players or having to change things up. I think Boyle should be the starter and the run should be prioritized and a good coach would modify his philosophy and be more adaptable to the situation, to maximize success. Apparently McDaniel has no clue! The other problem the Phins have is with their GM and his decisions in the off season. Grier is not very good and it is showing on the roster.
I have been talking scheme since Tua got drafted. I’m a former high school coach that pretty much ran similar scheme as Tua needs. No way people can think you can run the same system with different styles of QBs. You are spot on with your analysis with the scheme aspect. I plead for a QB that can run a pro style spread offense, then maybe they will fix the trenches to win ball games.
As Shula used to say I’ll take his’n and beat ur’n. And I’ll take ur’n and beat his’n. He took Griese and ran the ball and thru occasionally big downfield to Warfield. Then he took Marino and threw almost every down. He molded his style to fit the qb style. When Marino was injured with an Achilles, Scott Mitchell didn’t go I. And run Dan Marino plays. He ran Scott Mitchell plays. I know from watching McD he says he has plays every qb likes to run. I know he thinks he’s tailoring to the qb. Sometimes he thinks too highly of them. Maybe it works with our def in practice but esp in Seattle where you can’t hear any calls you have to change it. Tua struggles too. He only 1-3 against Seattle.
Incomptence across the board. Chronic penalties, lack of focus, QBs missing open receivers, receivers dropping balls, bad routes, bad play-calling, incessant dinking and dunking with low percentage plays when more is needed to sustain drives. This team's total product on the field, particularly on offense, but certainly NOT limited to the scapegoat OL, is just putrid. Undisciplined. Unorganized. Unsorted and unacceptable.
Taking what the defense gives you in the NFL is a must. Fucking rams dinked & dunked themselves into a damn Super Bowl. It doesn’t have to be flashy, it’s got to WORK!
@deaf2819 Dinking and dunking for 2-yard gains or 3-yard losses when you need 11 will get one nowhere. The Dolphins recorded just 13 first downs, were 1 for 12 on third down and 0 for 2 in the red zone. The Rams blew up Cooper Cupp with plays downfield.
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! Mike McDaniel has gotten way too comfortable. You can tell just by his pictures from year one to year three. He thinks he’s hot shit. It’s been driving me crazy when we look like this and people blame tua or they blame something else because Mike McDaniel is loved. His playcalling is horrendous, his challenge record is laughable, if he’s so smart then why can’t he take his head out of his ass and come up with a better game plan and better plays instead of screen screen after screen.
In a weird way, I’m happy that we can all see clearly what this team is. The last few years, we built up big hopes only to have them come crashing down in the end of the season and playoffs. Now I think people have a realistic take on the team. We haven’t had an o-line in decades and no matter how good our running backs or receiving will be, we won’t be able to do anything without a good o-line.
The arrogance of Grier and McDaniel who don't seem to understand that football is won in the trenches..Promote Daryl Bevel to OC, and give play calling to him..Try to get a guard or two in free agency. We have a lot of draft capital..Also, if this team flops Grier is gone..Louis Riddick would be great at GM, but I have a feeling it will be Brandon Short...
McDaniel has been figured out. I don’t ever wanna hear about all this Olympic track speed we have on this roster. Because, the problem with those “little” guys with cute nicknames for the under 5 fanbase, they don’t block or tackle. Let me say this, Tyreek Hill, Jalen Ramsey, Cam Smith, and Armstead? SHOP THEM NOW!!!!!!! You probably can get 8 players for them. 2 draft picks, 6 NFL players. Hell, mix it up how you want to. You get my point. Cause this is done folks.
@@11GW Thanks for the response. I don't know much about the contracts or the financial burden like you do. What I do know is that you gotta unload these guys while they still have some worth. Armstead? I'll give you that. Cam Smith? fkm I'll take the pick. Hill and Ramsey? I gotta believe you can get some quality O line players for them. Bradley Chubb? When his ass gets healthy? I'd trade his ass too for some O line help. And then I'd tell Chop Robinson and Mo Kamara get ready to play a lot. Bruh, we have to address the O line. It's a must.
McDaniel extension was a bad idea....he hasn't proven anything and his offense has run it's course and been figured out. He can't seem to gameplan at all and is at best a good coordinator. He's gotta go and I think Grier may need to go and get a fresh start at GM. He made some splashes but this hasn't worked.😊 I think it's time to potentially trade Tyreek Hill and see what you can get. It would have to be a good return of draft picks but he looked disinterested and you have Waddle (who I do think is vastly overpaid). The defense for the most part is fine. They gave the offense plenty of opportunities today. Full on tanking needs to start now and draft a good OL and or QB next season.
Guys, this is the byproduct of the NFL today. No preseason games, no practice, no conditioning, a risky long term signing, with no protective language for loss due to injury. No depth, injuries last year and injuries this year. Can it be saved or reinvented?
McD looked today as the worst HC of the NFL. Thompson looked definitely as the worst QB in the NFL. Grier proved to be the worst GM of the NFL. And S. Ross let us know that after more than 20 years he's still the most incompetent owner in the NFL. All this makes the Dolphins one of the worst teams in the NFL in as many years as Ross has been the owner. But Ross' hubris simply convince himself that he's doing a good job. But this mogul sucks the big one.
The Dolphins coach looked totally lost yesterday.. like 1/2 the time he didn't know what was going on.. was very strange. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes.
The Dolphins are fully stacked, with all contracts extended, including the coaching staff, and they have one of the highest payrolls in the league. This team is like 2 drunk people holding each other not to fall. In this case Tua and Mike, if either one of them is not there, the other one falls
Can we get mentions on your daily of player additions, such as eskridge? Never heard of him and knee nothing about him and lo and behold there he is yesterday. Keep up the great work Kyle!
Tua's number against good teams should have told you not to pay him. What good is a QB that wins only against trash teams. I don't see one Tua other than Miami Tua could start for. He just so limited in overall talent.
Yeah, the defense ended up not playing bad in the end, but they came out flat. It was 17-3 at the end of the 1st qtr, and that's the one thing we couldn't have happen this week. McDaniel's decision making is baffling. He has no problem going for it at any other time, but when we have 4th and 1 at the Seattle 42 down 7-0, that's the time he decides to play it safe and kick a 57 yard fg?? Mind boggling. The defense makes a play with the pick, and we can't get 5 yards, so we only get 3. We get a punt return to midfield, and we can't score points. The defense gets a pick at midfield, we drive to get 1st and goal at the 3, and we can't punch it in. Durham Smythe can't make a play when our 3rd string qb throws him a dime? Like I said on yesterday's video, I would be looking closely at the energy, effort and heart the team plays with these next few weeks, and today wasn't a good start at all. This team has the look of a team with a poor culture, and no leadership. We're an old team with a bunch of overpaid, content players who obviously aren't being pushed anywhere near close enough by the coaches to get better. These guys look way too comfortable, and that starts with how the culture is set when players report for OTA's. These guys look like they don't want anything to do with that smoke, and I have no faith this team will pull together and gut out a win. It's the same mistakes over and over, it's the same result over and over, and it's the same old Dolphins, over and over. Good job Kyle
This word is exactly on point. It’s very sad to see Hill sitting there not being a leader. He can run his mouth on social media, but he can’t help lead this team. Instead of running your mouth saying “give me the ball” how about fixing the sideline morale? How about do something positive?
In my opinion this Coaching staff is to soft on the players. Just for a moment lets imagine what Coach Shula would have done to this team for a 11 penalty game. For those old enough you know what I mean. As well there is no fire in this teams heart. When Tag throws a pick he just trots off coach pats him on the butt. Where is the FIRE where is Tag screaming at his receiver for running a bad route. If it wasn't that where is his fire against himself? The QB leadership is a Mirror image of the coaching staff leadership. Also why is Chris Grier still the GM? This is his product and seems to get a pass for horrible decisions. Case in point the Dolphins have for the second season in a row the oldest team out of 32 teams. This is bad football from top to bottom. I am not even angry at this point. This really is how this team has been the past nearly 3 decades. This is a problem and it does not seem to be fixable.
The dolphins radio, I think the show with a former dolphin, was saying that Tua was going ballistic on the players on the sideline. They said they thought he had a seizure. He was fiery enough. Too fiery for a concussion though he obviously cleared protocol. But still, Tua was outraged. I know for sure Waddle and Hill don’t have that outrage and killer instinct when the chips r down. They r over there laughing on the sideline when we r losing big last year. They aren’t afraid of the backlash. They say they talk to each other plain and simple and are truthful. Sounds like it’s healthy interaction. Seems like Tua is angry and speaking out. Time for some def guys to step up and lose it. Def played a good second half. First wasn’t that great.
Why would you say that. Armstead is one of the best left tackles in the NFL and you can depend on him player six or seven games a year. Even the games he plays he playing with some injury. 😂😂😂😂
@@WilliamVega-ct1qwsucks we can't fully blame their on Amstrad. He had the Dolphins over a barrel and chose to play his injured self, rather then help the team move forward
Btw, you also want tobkerp things manageable. Should have went for the early f2f either. A punt was the better way to go rather then risk a miss and opponent starting at midfield
@@WilliamVega-ct1qw Armstead is the best we have but his injuries always make for an inconsistent O-Line. Not enough depth. When Grier was asked about that he said they were ok with what they have.
McDaniel might not be ready to be an OC and he’s def not ready to be a HC. It was fun until it wasn’t. It hasn’t worked out and the team looks like it’s getting worse and not improving.
Brian Flores is better coach than Mcdaniel. The Dolphins were tougher with Flores. Chris Grier is a terrible GM never forsees the future. Another rebuild on the way.
So well put Kyle, agree with everything you're saying. What do you think MM is actually thinking in regards to gameplanning / in game playcalling? Do you think its a case of him outsmarting himself and thinking a run heavy call sheet is too obvious? Whatver the answer is its extremely troubling but im genuinely curious as to what the hell is going on. I've been a big MM fan but the initial concerns (too collaborative / too "nice") seem to be rearing their head with this teams utter lack of dicipline. I'm losing a lot of faith in him.
I certainly hope people are designing a Guardian type helmet for Tua's return. This new helmet must have padding on the outsde of the helmet. It must also have better padding on the inside of the helmet. If these changes are not made, then there needs to be coaching changes immediately.
Excellent video. Usually I won't even click on these f'in fly=by-night 'shows' because they suck and are lacking substance. This video showed high quality, well-thought-out analysis. I will say this: Skylar Thompson received ZERO protection in that game. WTF. Yes, the play-calling was beyond bad. On the play where he got crushed near the sideline, any QB has to know that the internal clock ran out long before the hammer dropped. Armstead has to go.
Never want to see Thompson in a dolphins jersey again and would love to see Huntley get some snaps eventually even if they go with Boyle next week. Great analysis as always, hopefully this is the low point of the year and not the beginning of a horrific season.
Oh and my favorite is when McDaniel is watching the play clock next to the ref trying to time a timeout in the first quarter when the offense isn’t even set with 5 seconds remaining and ends up rushing play and fumbling the snap. Dude sitting there watching the operation in shambles and is trying to time it like it’s the 4th quarter and they’re running out the clock 😂
What about continuing to go for 4th down and 3 or more on our own side of the field. He takes a bad situation and makes it catastrophic with the worst coaching calls imaginable. He learns nothing from huge mistakes either. It is beyond frustrating and just flatly depressing.
Vic Fangio is laughing out loud....This all starts at the top ...ROSS is incompetant and should have fired Greir a long time ago....I remember the Josh Rosen deal just to name one and all the wasted draft picks (duds) over the years..Grier has messed up this club for a long time .
I think I don’t need to see any more of McDaniels pop Warner coaching to realize it’s a huge failure and rebuild with players that aren’t just collecting checks
I'm not a Dolphins fan, but I'm a fantasy football guy that listens to podcasts about each NFL team. This is one of the better shows. For what it's worth.
Thank you Kyle great analysis What a debacle and embarrassment for this team and organization they better wake up soon and get their heads out their asses for Monday’s game against Tennessee. This team is much too talented to be so lethargic out there and yes coach McDaniel will be soon in the hot seat should we drop the upcoming Monday nighter. I agree the defense played so admirably today. Non the less as frustrating as it has been these past 2 weeks. I will be Dolphin’s fan for a lifetime since 1971 !!! Mahalo’s Kyle from the 50th State of Hawaii.
I'm a seahawks fan so i was watching the game from that point of view, but i had the same take. I was baffled by the game plan by McDaniel. My biggest concern before the game started is that the Dolphins would run the ball with Achane 30 times against our suspect run defense. A few timely screens and short passes to Waddle and Hill could have complimented that kind of offensive plan. (BTW that would have been a smart game plan against seattle even if you still had Tua). But nope. McDaniel just decided to pretend nothing had changed at QB and leave Thompson hanging out to dry against a really aggressive and talented seahawks D line. Terrible, inexcusable coaching.
Sadly… I agree with you. And I wasn’t expecting them to win, BUT They had better fix something… and I’m not a multi million paid coach to say what needs to be fixed. But something has to be fixed. 😢. Thanks for your insight.
PERFECT WORD hubris but it goes back to whomever signed off on Tua and to add insult to injury McDs hubris to paint himself as a Tua whisperer. Boh of these has set Fins back 10+ years
Superb take here, Kyle. Malpractice is the right word. The luster on McDaniel has really come off. Game management and team discipline reflects upon him. Head coaching isn't for cheerleading. It's about accountability. He looks like an unsorted buffoon out there at times.
Being a lifelong Bills fan (including 0-20 vs. Dolphins in the '70s) I am conditioned to despise the Dolphins (not as much as the Jets, tho). Having said that, Kyle Crabbs is my favorite Dolfan and second favorite Locked On Podcaster - Only to Joe. P.S. Look at the bright side Kyle....Fins select top QB in '25 draft?
I am just shocked that Miami didn't get the ball to Hill any way they could, as often as they could. Hill should have been getting screens and short stuff like he was the outlet while they mixed it with the run.
I once posted.. in 2019, that the Dolphins needed to build a team to beat the Bills. Didn’t happen. 24 years of Chris Grier. His dad Bobby, a former NFL exec placed him with the patsies. Not much later, he is hired by the Dolphins. Ross won’t fire him. If Grier is elevated to a Vice President in charge of mediocrity, the malaise will continue.
The fans deserve better than this. This was once a great and storied franchise where winning was part of our culture and our tradition. It's all we did. Now, really for the past 25+ years, it's been a laughing stock of mediocrity and dysfunction. I think about the many dads and moms and many others of current Dolphins fans who never got to see the Dolphins win or probably will never see the Dolphins win. It's a sad reality and it makes me want to cry. The fans have been so loyal to this team despite its dysfunction and it's shortcomings, full of belief and hope, only to be let down constantly and have their heart broken every time. Enough is enough. The fans of this team deserve so much more. Too many years of heartaches and disappointment. I just might retire from being a loyal diehard Dolphins fan. 33 long years of hope and nothing. My dad might not ever see the Dolphins win in his lifetime and he's the biggest reason I became a Dolphins fan, even though I am from Miami (myself) and Dolphins are my favorite animal. I hope this changes for the younger generation.
Hey man, Skylar had a better game than Tua, who threw 3-INTs vs the bills one of them a pick-6, but apparently Tua has an infinite number of hallpasses from Tua nut huggers. Also did you see the hits Skylar took? Tua wouldn't have lasted two of those hits.
Hey Kyle, Never heard you this disappointed and upset. I hear and feel you too! It ain’t going as planned as soon Tua went down and their roll out of plan B today was shameful! Total disarray and embarrassing! Even with Tua, our game plans are so predictable because of O line blocking ineptitude! Opposing defenses have us figured out. They Cover reek and waddle and achane and don’t worry about anyone else! But I like what the Defense is putting out and they will only get better if they can stay healthy. Hope coach McDaniel can regroup and find the running game he had in SF. Would have liked to see us run right at them today! But it starts with winning on the line of scrimmage and play calling! Both of which we didnt have the ability to execute today! Your analysis of todays game hit on every deficiency that is now being exposed because McDaniel and Flores refused to get rid of bad pieces on the oline and were unwilling to upgrade the two guards that are now starting! It’s going to be gut check time for both McDaniel and Flores for the next 4 weeks! Can they figure it out rebound? I’m looking forward to hearing what you have to say about it this week! Aloha and go Fins!!
the team has scored 33 points in three games with the offense centered around Achane. as the starting RB. the focus of the offense in the past when the dolphins were winning they were was high flying with Hill an Waddle loose in the medium an deep areas spreading the field. however when you feature a 3 yard a carry at best you will be punting. Hill Waddle an Tua spread the field but the offense is now centered around highlighting Achane. without Tua Achane will drag the team to no more than a couple of wins at best
Its like we just randomly get away from what we do well, Whether its the big intermediate passes, or the inside zone runs, go back to that 2022 season, Its like since that niners game, we just get in our own heads, Because 1 bad series in that game everything went down hill, but you see that the route concepts was getting open, and we just pressed, Especially Tua that game, I think since that game we just never get into a rhythm and if we do its 1-2 game sample size and then we just go away from everything we do well,
Seahawks fan here - I was thanking McDaniel the whole game for his insane gameplan/playcalling. Backup QB, missing linemen, against one of the best pass rushing teams, but worst run defending teams, and he keeps calling long developing passes and getting Thompson crushed. It almost seemed sad. If y'all had leaned into Achane from the getgo, stressed the perimeter over and over, I think you would have had a chance.
Armstead suffered an eye injury and had to leave the game. I suffered 2 eye injuries watching this debacle but hung in until the end.
Thanks for making me laugh… 😂. Embarrassing and undisciplined team. 🤦♂️
I heard eye injury and immediately thought it was a dislocated eyelash.
Armstead hurt? Imagine that. Most of our player are made of paper mache.

@@FreshlySnipes It happens all the time !
That’s been our issue since our HC arrived!
I was also at the game and not only dod we stop running but we took out J. Wright after two carries for 20 plus yds (total).
That's because mcGenius has 100% belief his bubble screens and 1 yard passes will gain big yardage as opposed to running.
Smart 😂🤣😂
I said the same thing. Miami could have run for 200+ yards. Instead, Miami tried to make a QB out of a terrible QB. Seattle is giving up 150+ against the Lions if not more.
You can tell there is no disciple...that stems from the "cool guy" coach attitude
Yes, this stuff of trying to be buddies with your players doesn't work. Nobody is being held accountable

Can we start the Fire Grier now?
He built this mess and McDaniel looks like he is in over his head.
Undisciplined and unprepared.
It's too bad we can't fire and owner. Ever since Ross bought the team we've been a punchline. From our ridiculous new logo, to the hiring of unqualified "wanna-be" head coaches and GMs.
I agree with you
Vic Fangio is laughing out loud....This all starts at the top ...ROSS is incompetant and should have fired Greir a long time ago....I remember the Josh Rosen deal just to name one and all the wasted draft picks (duds) over the years..Grier has messed up this club for a long time .
Lmao Him signing Tua was the most un-gm move I’ve ever seen. He ain’t bluff him or nothing just said ohh Tuas sitting out I gotta pay him now!!
I’ve been on the fire Grier train since he blew the 2020 draft. Where have you guys been?
I’m not a Miami fan, but I enjoy the game and your commentary, Kyle. I couldn’t agree more with your analysis on this game. This team has far too much talent to have performed like this. It has to be the coaching and play calling hubris.
Weapon utilization, in game decision making, clock management, never wins challenges, burning time outs, WAY too many penalties, etc.The list of McDaniel's failings goes on and on and on. And none of this speaks to his inability to lead and motivate men. What good are some creative play calls if you don't know when to use them. I'm so disgusted.
It looked like ca ca today
Even in year one, McDaniel was exhibiting a kind of in game buffoonery that instantly had me questioning whether he was going to improve. He constantly proves me right about my initial impressions. He’s not HC material, he’s barely OC material and he’s trying to do both. This was another horrible coaching hire due to not having football minded ownership.

Teams overall body language showed they didn’t believe that they would win
Offense was done on the sideline
I hope you were able to enjoy other facets of the experience in Seattle, whether you're local or traveled because I'm sure no part of the actual game was fun.
That is what I saw too. Bad body language and poor effort. Could it be the players knowing, even with Tua, or without, they are not a good team. The team had to many question marks this off season that most had to work out well for the team to be good and they are not working out. All 5 olinemen, CB and WR 3 and 4, no TEs, safeties, tua, lbers?
Titans will destroy the Phins
You could have had Purdy but you selected Skyler. What do you have to say about that sir?
I agree, I’ve done it for years even though I love the Dolphins. It’s just not worth the time.
Yet you're on the team's message board the following day 🤔
Kyle,
You are always so measured and spot on with your analysis, but this game brought out what I think you have been hesitant to say, but finally have said it.
Yeah he’s awesome. I love the dolphins but I can seriously see this guy doing much much more.
💯 perecent agree with your analysis. You make the most sense in videos I've watched. We have watched McDaniel regress as well as this team!
He wants to protect his stats
What stats..... Getting sacked???
@@crazyantny9161 throwing ints he ‘s reckless as hell
Mike M. said in an interview it was between Skyler or Brock Purdy.
Seahawks coach Mike McDonald is that dude, McDaniel is like diet Pete Carroll with no clout hahaha
Pete Carrol lite. Coach
I haven’t seen Kyle this “mad” in my year of watching him. That’s how we know we’re in trouble. Really appreciate your take
Agree with everything you’ve said.

I plead for a QB that can run a pro style spread offense, then maybe they will fix the trenches to win ball games.
trade for Minshew, he can slot right into Miami's offense
@deaf2819
Dinking and dunking for 2-yard gains or 3-yard losses when you need 11 will get one nowhere.
Another great analysis! When Stephen Ross is going to realize that he is wasting his money in a garbage product: Fire Chris Grier or sell the team.
Why is everyone talking about Louis Riddick as GM I want the Lions GM it should not be shore they need to get rid of the entire FO
With the idiot Ross, he still might not fire Grier,

@@Bouncindd Campbell is not a great coach, r u a beginner fan?
McDaniel has been figured out. I don’t ever wanna hear about all this Olympic track speed we have on this roster. Because, the problem with those “little” guys with cute nicknames for the under 5 fanbase, they don’t block or tackle. Let me say this, Tyreek Hill, Jalen Ramsey, Cam Smith, and Armstead? SHOP THEM NOW!!!!!!! You probably can get 8 players for them. 2 draft picks, 6 NFL players. Hell, mix it up how you want to. You get my point. Cause this is done folks.
hill , Ramsey contracts mean low round picks . Armstead will retire after the season . cam smith another low round pick .
He made some splashes but this hasn't worked.😊
I think it's time to potentially trade Tyreek Hill and see what you can get. It would have to be a good return of draft picks but he looked disinterested and you have Waddle (who I do think is vastly overpaid).
The defense for the most part is fine. They gave the offense plenty of opportunities today.
Full on tanking needs to start now and draft a good OL and or QB next season.
But you do realise that after we extended a HC they get fired after so don’t worry he will be fired
Grier is to blame. Fired Flores and paid noodle arm......dumbest moves the fins have made in 15 years.
Tua's number against good teams should have told you not to pay him. What good is a QB that wins only against trash teams. I don't see one Tua other than Miami Tua could start for. He just so limited in overall talent.
😂😂😂 🎯🎯🎯
Chris Grier’s evaluation of the O-Line is just mind blowing!
Why would you say that. Armstead is one of the best left tackles in the NFL and you can depend on him player six or seven games a year. Even the games he plays he playing with some injury. 😂😂😂😂
Time to move from Grier
@@WilliamVega-ct1qwsucks we can't fully blame their on Amstrad. He had the Dolphins over a barrel and chose to play his injured self, rather then help the team move forward

Kyle, I feel the same way. Going into this year I was as high on this team as I have been since the middle 80's . Not so much now.
You sound like me now, Kyle. Something you said, interesting Exercise.Maybe Tua should call the plays the next 3 games 🤔🤔🤔
This season is reminding me of 2007 w/cam cameron.
I just posted the same comment. It sure feels that way and this team has talent. Unlike the 2007 roster.
Also the offense lack of using tight ends against 2 deep cover safeties is malpractice
What peeves me off is that was a winnable game. Last week was too and they looked completely unprepared both with and without Tua
Never want to see Thompson in a dolphins jersey again and would love to see Huntley get some snaps eventually even if they go with Boyle next week. Great analysis as always, hopefully this is the low point of the year and not the beginning of a horrific season.

What a debacle and embarrassment for this team and organization they better wake up soon and get their heads out their asses for Monday’s game against Tennessee.

The luster on McDaniel has really come off. Game management and team discipline reflects upon him. Head coaching isn't for cheerleading. It's about accountability. He looks like an unsorted buffoon out there at times.
Im starting to see things alot clearer involving Brian Flores and Tua, and this soft buddy buddy coach and team mentality.
Seattles whole deal is is to disrupt the offensive line and create confusion. They are good at it.

Flores was the truth 🎉🎉🎉
I once posted.. in 2019, that the Dolphins needed to build a team to beat the Bills. Didn’t happen. 24 years of Chris Grier. His dad Bobby, a former NFL exec placed him with the patsies.
Hey Kyle,
Never heard you this disappointed and upset.
Its like we just randomly get away from what we do well, Whether its the big intermediate passes, or the inside zone runs, go back to that 2022 season, Its like since that niners game, we just get in our own heads, Because 1 bad series in that game everything went down hill, but you see that the route concepts was getting open, and we just pressed, Especially Tua that game, I think since that game we just never get into a rhythm and if we do its 1-2 game sample size and then we just go away from everything we do well,
The team is regressing badly, and at every position. The blueprint of signing older, injury prone players to huge extensions has failed miserably
Mike McDaniel needs to give up play calling. He’s horrendous….
