Thanks for the great episode! I don't want to speak for everyone, but I love the 10 minute intro before the questions, it's nice to feel like I'm chatting with you. Love the new pattern and the colors you chose for your first three Traveler Hats and I'm looking forward to seeing what you choose for the KAL! 🙂
I have zero luck with gauge swatches so I often block as I go. For a bottom up sweater, I'd knit 4-6" of the body and then wet block it. Now I'd measure the stitch and row gauge and adjust accordingly per your math instructions.
I'm looking forward to the hat KAL, my very first! I have my yarn ordered and have had a quick practise of the twisted German cast on using your brilliant tutorial. Thanks for all you do, you are very generous with your time and extensive knowledge.
When spindling Deff need to use different wights of spindles when creating thicker or thinner yarns and plying it with a 3oz heavier spindle than the spindle you used to spin the original singles on I find works very well : )
Love your chats and answers.. im a young nearly 85 years of age and have stoped quilting in September and gone back to spinning and knitting..I am in Western Australia and currently knitting my own hand dyed and spun (960g) 3 ply for your Travellers shawl. Many starts and finishes to begin with and up to the last three rows to complete the 1st part of the shawl.. ready to watch your recording of the pick up for the second part.. Not sure 😱 but i should have 293 stitches.. I cant see where you say to cast off??? If thats whats next what way do you suggest I do this.. by the way - I love your hat and will tackle that later. Not sure where to write my questions to you. Xx Joan.. then ready to cast on for second section
I love your videos ...but ... I really seem to be unable to knit the Nightshift because I seem to have a brain freeze when I try to follow the pattern. Maybe it is because I am 83? I think I could actually do it if the mosaic patterns were in graphed form. Have you ever written out the mosaics as charts? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
My traveler cowl is blocking and I had leftover yarn. Went thru my email to find your discount- thanks. Now to get the scale out to see if there’s enough yarn or stashdiving is necessary.
This was a lovely episode. Your fiance is almost as gorgeous as you😅 You make a sweet couple. I also appreciate iate your videos as I know you put heaps of work into them.

Thanks so much! That feedback is always so helpful to hear!
Love your new yarn! I can totally see this as a hat/cowl combo or hat and fingerless mitts. 💕

Sounds like a great plan!
7:12 I 💯 agree!! That color looks beautiful on you! And your eyes totally pop!
Thanks so much!
Andrea, thanks for your help in resolving the brioche rowing out. Your description was very clear. 🧡
So glad it was helpful!

Wonderful! So happy to have you join!
I just spin lace weight and add more plys to make it the end thickness I need.

I love yellow and blue combos very nautical 😊
Hi I am looking forward to knitting the traveller hat. I have some Brooklyn Tweed Imbue in my stash. Could I use this? 🙏
Imbue is sport or DK- so just make sure to swatch to see if you can get gauge and a fabric you like!
