Every time an eagle kills person to your left drinks. Every time the vampire kills an enemy take a small bite of bread.
Next update: Aztecs now have a special city project called "ritual of the stone mask". It sacrifices 2 population of selected city and it return all units trained in this city will receive buff that allows them to heal everytime they demage enemy unit, it also gives them +8 strenght.

@@lucastumelaire4099 Its actually because the eagles were so powerful that if they got hold of the ring then the eagles would become corrupt and start to kill everything with their new power, they let the hobbits keep the ring because they are one of the weakest in their world, therefore the only power they got with the ring was invisibility and living longer, all you need to know this is, the eagles only come to rescue Frodo and Sam after the ring is already destroyed and so they cant become corrupt and too powerful
On turn 17, since your vampire is on low HP, wouldn't it be faster to just suicide it into the barb camp so it gets automatically returned to your capital to heal? Seems like that would be faster than the 5 turns to walk back to your cap.

Some things I think late at night is that the aztec technologies are considered by the game to be "ancient era", they had the biggest city in the world when found, a well develop teocratic political system, large scale extractive industry, developments in science and arts, extensive empire. But well, if you're indigenous and not euroasian might as well be considered a barbarian.
Me and my friends have had to ban vamps from our games, because if you settle next to a city-state, and pump out scouts while having a vamp next to them, you can suicide them all in and get like +30 combat strength. Then if the other civs try ot fight back, they just feed you more combat strength. The bonus works on your own units
India + Varu + Vampires = 40 dmg vampires with two easy to get tech boosts. Order = slinger, builder, settler, temple of artemis, varu. Easy deity win. Use ur slinger to get a kill then use ur builder to make a pasture.

You have to play Rough Rider with the Owls when you get the chance. Every trade route sends 2 envoys to city states, and you get 2 trade routes per costle city.
Hey potato, just theorycrafting here, I think you can do a Norwegian vampire build, since vampire can copy strength of naval unit too: so you can get 40 combat strength vampire running around pillaging and healing non stop with only 1 technology unlocked!
Would have been quicker for you to attack the barb camp with your vamp when he first needed healing, since they never die, they just respawn back in the capital with 1 health if they die. Would have been quicker than travelling home and you would have done some damage on the camp.
27:27 We noticed that with our gaming group too. That must be a bug in the new updates / dlc. People should die, UI says they die, but like 30% of the time they have like 1 hp. Maybe a damage bug or a visual bug with the damage UI
So, I have a question: At turn 45 (17:20 in the video), why not go for Irrigation before Iron Working? You had no Iron income at that point, nor too easy way to get it. Irrigation would have unlocked the coffee luxury in Cairo that you were already working, and would have given you a bit more strength on your warriors for those 1 HP enemy units. And even if you did improve Iron fast enough to get a swordsman on the turn you completed Iron Working, I feel like giving 10 units +1 combat strength 10 turns early is better than giving just two units +8 strength when you're already fighting on two fronts.

I used same strat trying an early eagle rush with vampire. Also took me many restarts until I lucked up and it worked. Zerged Rough Rider Teddy. I found it easier when I waited to zerg with eagles until I had archer support.
It seems like the vampire should be played defensively, that way the vampire doesn't take damage from attacking, that way the vampire has life to be in the front lines, to get free combat strength when your other units kill things.

I know you’re a busy man with your streaming and whatnot, but on the off chance you see this I’ve got a question for you: I usually play on Prince, and I wanted to know what minor adjustments you have to make in order to turn the difficulty up. It’s just getting too easy.
When faced with a 1 Food 1 Production tile, whats the best way to improve that tile? Which route would benefit most? I used to always just farm for growth, but I've never really known the "correct" meta for standard 1/1 tiles.
It synergizes incredibly well. Your vampire rapidly gets up to the point where he can basically solo their army. It's insanely fun, I've already played it a few times and it never gets old.

Small tip:
Vamps will teleport to your capital instead of dying, so it's better to suicide it into the barb than walking home.
