Hi guys! Im from Trinidad & Tobago and lived in Zambia for 3 years...2019 to Jan 2022. It's a serene , beautiful country. Love the vlogging, you're making me miss Zambia even more than I already do. Have a great trip!
Our elder uncles and aunties says they notice when you all cook good food there are no microwave cooking. Which is good. They old school. Peace and blessings. Keep up the good work. Enjoy you all.
I was a flight attendant for over 25 years, never been to Zambia, but here great things about the country from other, flight attendants, love your videos, thanks 😊
Hi guys good to see you walking around That food stand was well stocked. You should go back for sweet potatoes ( kandolo) peel and boil with a little salt.
Hello Unapologetic Nomads Family and i'm enjoying this video a lot and you all is over there all the best foods vegetables and fruits and other items and i appreciate this video and thank you for sharing this
The sausages wow I miss home 😭 I can’t wait to come back to Zambia and eat beef sausage there am currently in china and beef is very expensive … and beef meat is rare anyway… wow I like your cooking 😊 good job unapologetic fam
Asian countries commonly use mock beef In their dishes! This is why I appreciate my so called ‘3rd world’ native home, Zambia, because we have Zam Beef which is top quality beef, compared to western/ Asian meats! cows back home graze fresh organic grass, the animal is not tainted with GM. We also care for our animals better than what I’ve seen in the west! I sometimes get the luxury of buying African beef here in the U.K. at £11 (230 kwacha) which is very expensive for the quantity, the supplier being South African but it taste better than anything in this country! We have the best food sis, that real food!
Love the fact you living like Zambians tho you're not .... Nothing boogie , just all respect , education and entertainment, three strong universal languages . That's african DNA
Am glued to this channel, how do y’all keep smiling thee whole time, am glad I found this channel. The weather is on point, proud to see you supporting local, you define what tourism is.
Sorry l missed you tonight , l opologise folks hope alls good with you all thanks for sharing this video take care and all the best to you and the channel
Just at that vegetable stand, there were like 3 languages being spoken lol. Also seems you guys are falling involve with Lusaka. Wouldn't be surprised if you guys decide to call it home permanently. That's Zambian love for you, and you guys are welcome to call it home permanently 😛. Also, you can eat that sausage with rice. Rice is an alternative to the nsima , but better yet, find someone who can show you how to make the nsima.
Those leaves you pointed at on 3:22 are cassava leaves. Shombo. They have such strandy elements so usually the ladies pound the leaves in mortar and pestle or these days I suppose one may blend them. And then cook them for a very long time...again theres a few recipes. Delicacy 👌
The food was cheap but even cheaper when you have a local with you , once they hear your american accent , the see dollar signs , you may not know it but you stand out very much with your accent , that influences your rental costs , transport and the like . Nice that you are enjoying zambia and for breakfast you should have just got the sweet potatoes and boiled them for an hour till soft , two table spoons of sugar in a cup , water and stir . Bon petite
How you all got me watching this is crazy. This is not me. Where is the sci-fi lol. Love what you guys are doing. I think you are having a gas and getting localised. Papa Nomad if I got time I need to invite you for some of that good old African local brew. No moonshine though. The stuff here could make a brother go blind. Enjoy LSKrazy! You and yours are repping it right. Peace fam.
These are good videos you do about my country. So some information for you. Kale and Rape are different, the both belong to the genus which is Brassica but two different species. Kale is Brassica oleracea which includes(kale, cabbage , collard green, broccoli, cauliflower etc) and Rape is brassica napus species. In our country Zambia we eat more rape than kale, in recent years kale has started making trends in the market, i pereonally grow it at the farm but the market is not as big as that for rape
Lovely & we miss fresh maize. We have the soft corn here but we don’t see maize in the supermarkets although we occasionally buy frozen maize if we go to certain mini Chinese supermarkets
I like oats or oatmeal with banana also but prefer blueberries and sometimes I pour in some honey.. Also, you can use oats and eggs together with salt, pepper, butter or margine and milk optional. Mix those items together and fry them like a pancake it good and sweet.
Hi family looks like you're having a wonderful time there I plan to visit Zambia in the near future. I have a non profit organization and there may be a possibility of me doing humanitarian services there. Any information would be appreciated or contacts

@@missqt48 😄😄. We currently got sweet potatoes so the best would be someone to show them how to prepare it with peanut butter. Chikanda is another food that they must taste. Fresh peanuts and Intoyo.

More market tours would be great. Question, why do you use butter and salt in oats? I have never seen anyone make porridge like that before🙃
It enhances the flavour
