Another great video Jon. Works well as a wrap-up of all the latest advances in AI but you also got me pondering the Truman Show angle 🤔💭 Feels like the next step on for the new AI influencers that are already proving so popular.
Yeah 100% it defnitely leads the mind down various rabbit holes. The idea of ficticous lives being potentially equally popular to watch as real ones, in the same way AI Influences on social media have built up audiences seems like an eventual likelihood.
Your content is so good Jon. As a writer who's spent months playing with MidJourney and minutes playing with AI video, I'm not sure where to invest time. Sora is clearly next level, but, it's not here! If you had to put down cash on one video sub right now which would it be? Looking forward to more exceptional videos. 👍

Right now, ‘if’ I had to choose just one it would be Runway ML.
I’m still yet to see the quality I’d want for a project from Pika.
Stable Video can be run for free locally if you have the right spec via ComfyUI. Or paid for via Leonardo but the lack of direction makes it too hit and miss (for now) but the quality ‘can’ look good.
Runway ML, whilst of course not perfect and can take a lot of generations to get something that you might be able to use. The UI is good, it’s quick and the ability to prompt via text, camera controls and motionbrush at least gives you some hope of getting what you want.
With any tool I’d still go for a monthly rather than annual subscription.
Can't wait to try out Sora, so long as its not prohibitively expensive I see myself adding it to my existing workflow. As far as the future goes, Sora to generate Gaussian Splats, then convert to geo, throw it into UE5, and add VR.
Definitely. I've seen quite a few of the examples where people have turned some of the Sora previews of landscapes into 3D models via Gaussian splats to great effect already. ... and you have my for it hopefully not being too bloomin expensive for us mere mortals to use.

It's possible. frl!? We came from a pre-Paleolithic era, from pigmented handprints and random marks on surfaces/cave walls to current computer imagery. I'm glad to witness the beginning of an emerging era(the good, the bad, and the ugly).

How are you today my friend ?I want to make small cartoon videos but I want to know something please since the video shot is a group of photos , frames Is there a way in Midjourney to give it a photo reference and the action I want to be made and Midjourney makes let's say 30 consistent photos or frames to make the shot, I take the 30 photos and put it in any video editing program and make the scene? etc. etc. thank you.
It is not impossible that your entire life has long been an AI Trueman Show in which you find yourself and everything around you is a SORA software version number 178.0 with the one difference that it all runs in your brain. Have you ever thought about that?
i hope theres a date for sora release. Its all i think of now.
I hope this isnt an apple phone situation when they released the touch screen phone and killed off nokia & blackberry.
But this sora is all im thinking of and the thought of using runway or pika is like chosing a crayon pack over a wacom tablet...

🙂I feel much the same. It's taken the wind out of my sails a bit for work on certain creative projects, as if there's a smarter way to do it coming round the corner 'soon' I can wait. Plus I hope that all the other companies can compete both in quality soon whilst offering other interesting ways to control the generations.

I seen a image of man and they put boxes around hand and mouth. Then prompt: man eats a burger.
But even that seems redundant to the mighty SORA.
I liked creating a single image in existing AIs. I think it takes another 10 years for the video. Sora looks like a nice thing but it has a lot of shortcomings.

@@shuga1245 What I mean is, among current AI applications, only image generation yields good results. Video generation is still in its development phase, so I think it will be in a much better place in 10 years.
@@ThoughtLineQuotes i think after knowing that developments and evolution is exponential, its mere month then decades....after watching sora i would say its already here....heck, i would say even that they hide advanced version and take a slow roll out so that humanity/ society have a chance to adapt and dont fall into chaos. AGI is already here...and that means ASI is too
