Regardless of game's current state - this trailer was pretty badass
It’s current state is early access. Practically a beta build of the game, anyone shitting on it rn just sucks and has way too high expectations for anything.
@@Zacharysharkhazardlower the price and we won't be shitting on it lol
@@Zacharysharkhazard Yes! but mostly No...! It has less features than the original early access of KSP 1 at a price closer to a new AAA game. I can forgive bugs, crashes, poor optimization but the fact that science & career modes are missing on launch?
@@heystopshooting Basically, everyone always skips past the Early Access box right to the purchase button, then have complaints.
It’s nowhere near complete, but was never advertised as such before sale. What they did mention was an improvement to the onboarding process for new players, and that they believe feedback on those systems from real players would help. That is why we are here. Not to play the KSP2 career right now, immediately upon EA release.
If you actually play the tutorials, they show a lot of love and attention to detail. I just hope they can apply that to the rest of the game’s features in a timely manner before they anger too many people. People who are sadly expecting a full game on a 0.1 EA build.
@@chuggon7595 There's literally nothing forcing you to buy it at full price, "lol".
It’s perfect how the display on the days without accident sign can only display two digits. As if the Kerbal who made it figured there was no way the program would ever go more than 99 days incident free. And he was right!

Not the devs, and it's not private division making the game. This video was outsourced.
@@400thekiller233
I think the point sort of went over you.
Even if the video was outsourced, the people who made the video are not psychics who figured out everything that Kerbals stand for and mean on their own. This was almost certainly communicated by the developers, and whoever was tasked with making the video made it based on the info and feedback they got.

Maybe try harder next time you try to “take someone down.”
Saying it’s so doesn’t make it true.
I love how this trailer is a metaphor for the early access stage of the game. Even though it’s not perfect and it will crash sometimes, the devs will work hard to make it stable and add features. Can’t wait for it to finish downloading
Same here and that message gives me hope
Is it a metaphor for early access tho? The biggest part of KSP, imho, is about failing. And having fun doing it. I think this nails it. You're right, early access will be full of stuff for us (and the Devs) to deal with. But I think this trailer is a bit more than just early access, it's ksp. ❤️
i dont think its a metaphor i think your being an english teacher and thinking to deeply
I don't think the game performance will be magically metamorphosed :/
I do think this is the essence of KSP failling again, and again, and again but at the end here you are : you did it, all by yourself (and i’m french so i am NOT being an english teacher)
Ironically, the song is "Things can only get better" by Howard Jones.
But, I believe in you Intercept games, things will get better.
I just realized it now, but this trailer really shows the early acces roadmap
on the beginning crafts just randomly break and failing. really simple rockeds. like the game is now 0:10 to 0:54
afyer that we see a explorer vessel (science) 0:55 to 01:05
after that we see a colony (colonies) 01:06 to 01:20
after that we see a lot of interstellar places and exploring of planets outside kerbolar system (roadmap interstellar) 01:24 to 1:44
after that we see recource gathering (roadmap item) 1:47 to 1:54
In the end we see a lot of ships flying to a new system (multi-player)
Well noticed 😀
Damn... never woulda picked up on that
It's.... wonderful... And that song (Howard Jones - Things can only get better) makes it even more wonderful and accurate
I hope the song is right

Pristine music choice as always
Only thing missing was those longer narrow spacecraft not wobbling and bending themselves to the point of snapping because connecting modules with anything other than the largest docking port without a mod that let's you install and remove supports in flight mode doesn't work.

Ok, this cinematic actually got me. Seeing flying in atmosphere with those rings was spectacular. I had thought about holding off on getting this till it's more developed, but part of what I love about KSP is that feeling of edge of your seat exploration. So, what kind of explorer would I be if I weren't there on the edge of new content being added to this game?

Just be wary, there are a fair few bugs currently. It's to be expected of course. I still got it anyways but theres no shame in waiting a few weeks for bug fixes

Time to violently test the durabilty of the new kerbals!
For those of you who are wondering?
The song is Howard Jones: Things Can Only Get Better
How poetic after experiencing the release of this dumpster fire
@CamZambie If you were expecting a full, complete, and functional game in a PRE-ALPHA, you've kinda only got yourself to blame, pal.
Indeed, things can ONLY get better. Just like the first time around. When KSP first released in Pre-Alpha, you had a campaignless sandbox, a small handful of different rocket parts, a rocket assembly building, the Mun, and Good Ol' Jeb, and it was ungodly buggy with way, way worse framerate issues... but they kept developing and adding to it and mashing bugs until it became as good and full as it is now.
I wasn't expecting anything amazing right off the bat. That's how this developer works: they use pre-alpha sales to help fund the game development to get to a POST-alpha state, all the way to full release. It's how they've found success and funding without having to sell their soul to some demonic megacorporate entity like EA.
Yes, 'It can only get better' is an apt song choice. Because it WILL get better. And they're fully honest that it's in rough shape (they even put that in the trailer, they were depicting their AMBITIONS, not the current state) but asking us to bear with them for now as they improve things.
Not to mention the development logs and update details should be fun to read as they go (example, they framed fixing a bug that made rockets stick to the pad as 'Bill Kerman finally having scrubbed off all the super super super glue he spilled on the launch pad again, followed by loss of his glue handling priveleges')
@@GuukanKitsune No. What was delivered was a slap in the face. This is terrible even for an "early access" game. Its not playable. We should be getting paid to play it seeing as how unfun and a waste of time it is at this point. Demand better from game devs. You're part of the problem.
@CamZambie If this were, say, an EA game, you'd be right: it's a lazy slap in the face.
But Private Division isn't a billion dollar company with nigh-infinite pockets. They are an entirely standalone independent publisher/developer, and a rather small one. They don't release it in this state because they don't care, but because if they don't, they won't have the money to finish the game at all. They are relying on the pre-alpha sales to FINISH it, just like they did the first time, do you understand me?
Thus, they must be held to a gentler standard, and given patience. Even more so since they are up front with it by calling it a 'pre-Alpha', straightly telling us it's not finished and has a long way to go even before we buy it.
If you actually expected a game that is openly unfinished, to run perfectly, well... fool you, then. You've grown entitled from all the games that made it further into development before needing an early access release to keep going.
This game is not selling itself for what it is now, but what it's promising to become. It will become as amazing as it promises if you have the PATIENCE.
All the budget went into this cinematic, love it
and not into the game?

10FPS launches
But you gotta have 3060 to run this game tho 😂
@@newdiary6978 3060 is a 2 year old lowest tier Nvidia card. You need at least that to run any modern game.
@@Chevsilverado It's actually a low to medium tier card, but yeah
It’s a cinematic it doesn’t look like this unfortunately
Jebediah Kerman is now beyond the kerbalkind! We love you, Jebediah! 👏🏻👏🏻
