@@AdyWoodchucker - As a kid (40 years ago, how did that happen) my grandad took me out on the River Teme, told me to expect a barbel. Just my cheap canal rod pointing skywards so I asked how I’d know if I got a bite? “You’ll know!” Had a 6 pounder and it nearly pulled the rod in. Awesome. Caught a few since then but not for a few years. I’ve probably just talked myself into it 😀
Hi ady hope u r well. I see u fishing wharfe I'm very new to barbel fishing total novice. Any chance u can tell me which stretch on wharfe this is. Ie Boston Spa Tadcaster etc. Any tips b great. And again great video
@@adrianporter8403 it’s a long time since I fished the swale, especially for Barbel. I love the pod but I do have a niggle. The buzz bar posts are supposed to come off so you can use them with bank sticks but mine and a pal of mines don’t come off with breaking the threads which isn’t a problem but just poor design.
Great video and some nice fish.
Cheers Pete.
Tempted to try for barbel during the summer but really love walking up and down the river with lures.
Keep the videos coming!
Give them a go, hardest fighting fish on our river systems apart from the odd stray cat fish.

@@leftmono1016 I let my 8 year old have a play of one last year and it nearly pulled her in 😆

Hi buddy, the stretch is in tadcaster and some of it is day ticket. Boston is also day ticket and well worth a try.
Sublime netting skills on that bream!
I completely agree 🤣
Is that the prologic pod?
Hi Adrian, No it’s the Korum river pod, great bit of kit.
@@AdyWoodchucker looks great, heard bad reports of the jorum ones that's all. Good fishing on the wharfe, I'm been swale bashing
