That "check engine" light is actually the malfunction indicator light. I also noticed the DEF light is on despite having sufficient DEF. My Thomas C2 had that issue last year. Turns out a sensor in the SCR system went bad.
It's a great great bus but for a 7-year old bus with 100k+X it ain't in mint condition it's not a 2023 bus. If it was in mint condition the price would go up.
