  • Funded with a mission to work in an innovative way to eliminate paediatric HIV/AIDS in Mozambique, Ariel Glaser Foundation Mozambique began implementing PEPFAR/CDC funded HIV/AIDS programs in 2011, from $1 million dollar program. With an increase of geographic coverage the program budget has now risen to $10 million.
Partnering with Ministry of Health National Prevention and Treatment Acceleration plan, the Ariel Glaser Foundation has doubled the number of antiretroviral (ARV) sites and quadrupled the number of prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV sites with quality improvement and recognition from Maputo and Cabo-Delgado Provincial Governments in 2012 and 2013.
Understanding the local context of HIV/AIDS means several innovative approaches are being implemented including a family oriented approach.
