Dude, how difficult is it to click the like button? It’s almost Pavlovian that whenever I see the falcon paladin sign in the beginning I hit the like button. My reward for doing that is hearing the chant brood war remastered! It’s just the same as hearing let’s get ready to rumble!
very high level game, no sloppy play, very crisp micro and I agree with the archon probably being the most improved looking unit in remastered. Keep up the great work with the channel!
what i appreciate about larva is that he has no compunctions about literally covering the map in dead zerg but also understands the importance of: 1. spells 2. expanding behind pressure 3. combined arms (i.e. mixing guardians with ground support)
That was so good! Loved the moments where the massive Zerg wave was pushing on the 7 o clock, and the Protoss reinforcements were literally being airdropped in. So epic.
I kept thinking Shuttle was done for until he threw another 3-4 well placed storms. I think this game might highlight the old adage that mana is infinite and mining is not.
Best game that I've seen. Sad that the non conventional choice of guardians didn't pay off but it really seemed like there was no counter to them there. As another commenter said once he pushed with them they were vulnerable. Amazing control by both players.
Shuttle was like a toreador the whole game, Larva was throwing all his crystal producing as much army as he can while Shuttle was winning the battles. Now I gotta admit the guardian harass on that base was incredible and for a time I though Shuttle was going to lose because of that. Anyway, here's my comment to help you with the algorythm :D
What defending by Shuttle! He never gave up, tenacious defending all game against all the resources Larva through at him! Awesome micro with storm and reavers and archons. Larva losing a massive army at the bottom left base the final third of the match was the turning point. His guardians focussed forever on a pylon that didn't die and his ling/hydra army was hit with so many storms. Shuttle was behind in that game and just had better micro.
I think that if Larva had focused on killing that lone pylon in the last battle, he might have won. The storms and archons were still really really good, but deactivating 7 cannons could well have tipped it in his direction, given how tight it ended up being.
I'm not sure if you noticed or not but for the last 15 minutes of that game Shuttle was sitting on a massive bank. He had close to 5000 minerals at several points. Larva ran out of money.
Hey falcon, a few questions. 1. Can you rank all races according to your taste. 2. What race do you play the most? 3. What’s your favorite match to cast? Thanks for these casts!
SPOILER ALERT It took me a while to figure out what happened this game and why Larva lost this game and now it makes sense to me. Guardians were actually a winning move. Denying and killing that bottom base for so long was the winning move. But losing several high tech armies while attempting to kill the base next to it was the losing move. Larva was actually behind before he made the first guardians. And prob. more behind when he lost them. But the next waves of guardians did super well and most importantly shut down a perfectly healthy base completely. But then he tried to bash his way through the other base and ran into reaver storm cannon over and over again. And at the end he ran his guardians there too and lost the terrain advantage, so archons murdered them. He should have instead taken the middle base way earlier and defended it with guardians above those two cliff thingies or put lurkers around the base. Or he should have simply been more patient and keep denying that bottom base.
Not sure if taking the center would be the winning move. Could have worked since he had better map control, but that is a high risk move. I think you are right though, had he kept up on the guardians maybe he had a better shot at knocking out the bottom corner? He was at the razor edge on the minerals for so long, so I can see he must have felt pressured to try and put the pressure on Shuttle to knock out the base and not spend on the guardians.
Hey Falcon, I've been binging your BW and SC2 replays the last couple weeks and having a blast. Used to play both a lot. Amazing replays and casts. PLAYGOOOO!!!
Funny thing is Larvae beats 98% other Toss players with that same positioning along that wall ridge with Guardians I am quite sure specially if your not prepared for it but the 1000000000 High Temps Shuttle had was more then enough to counter it funny enough lol.. Nice cast as always falconpunch.. I mean Falcon Paladin.
Shame on us, you're 100% right to remind to click the " like " button, specially when we actually like the video ! Just in the first tier of the vid, it's already GREAT !
@17:30 I like all your videos. I use the like button as a "I saw this video" tag, so many times have I put on one of your videos and 7 mins in to the game I realise that I already saw it 😂😂😂
"is that a premature quit? - its the more storm, - I think he was just sick of being stormed in the face over and over and over again" LOL best comment ever xD so true hahah
Larva! Long time no see. I am only halfway through the video yet, but i can already tell: one of the best games I have seen in a while. Both players are fighting at eye level and insanely good. I love matches like that. Thanks a lot for casting! Edit (and spoiler) Double-U-Te-F... what a game. I really enjoyed this one. Dark Archons, Guardians, Scouts.... btw: the scout was killed by hydras pretty quickly. I also do believe Larva could have won the game, but remember: he does not see what you see! See you next time Falcon.
He was in a losing position by the end. No more minerals means no more army, no way to challenge a Protoss who now can hold the natural and even take the center.
How can anyone not "like" this? It's preposterous! I guess Larva could have continued playing for 5 mins, he got this far, but he was running out of resources.
Being down 20 supply as zerg in zvp, you're actually up since hydras are only one supply, zerglings are half a supply and protoss units are mostly 2 supply each.
Looks to me like he yes got sick of the storms but also, look at the moment he quit, is when Shuttle figured out his long distance mining and started killing the drones. He had no real mineral income at that point as his one base with minerals was almost out. Yet shuttle still had 2 bases with minerals and was about to have a 3rd with a lot of minerals(that's where the storms were coming in keeping him from stopping that base. So it was inevitable Larvae would lose, I don't think it was an early quit, it made sense to me, he didn't have the minerals income to keep up production
Larva vs shuttle. The perfect way to telegraph your strategy to your enemy is your name.
:D
Early larva rush ;)
telegraph? Thats more like a video call.

I miss StarCraft brood war so much. I haven't looked into the game since like 2002 so this was incredibly nostalgic to watch.
very high level game, no sloppy play, very crisp micro and I agree with the archon probably being the most improved looking unit in remastered. Keep up the great work with the channel!
10:02 "'scuse me, pardon me, sorry, excuse me"

I saw that 2!
😂😂😂
He lost that base a couple times but never lost hope. Also shuttle consistently had 4K minerals seams like his bank was always ok.
what i appreciate about larva is that he has no compunctions about literally covering the map in dead zerg but also understands the importance of:
1. spells
2. expanding behind pressure
3. combined arms (i.e. mixing guardians with ground support)

That hold by Shuttle at the bottom left was impressive.
I kept thinking Shuttle was done for until he threw another 3-4 well placed storms. I think this game might highlight the old adage that mana is infinite and mining is not.
1440p BroodWar is beautiful. Thanks for these videos!
My pleasure!
Such a fun match. Thanks for casting! Love seeing Guardians in the mix.
Any time!
Definitely one of the best games you've cast in my opinion

Scouts, and Dark Archons, and Guardians oh my.

I've never seen templar play like this before. On many occasions he was pumping out 9 at at a time. Unreal
6:30 Falcon: *Casually talking about unit types and counters.*
Meanwhile, the corsair on the bottom of the map: *Sick Jukes Activated*
I love watching a good broodwar match. Reminds me of the good times as a kid
What did I just witness!?
The control from both players is simply astonishing!
By far one of the best back and forth games you've ever cast!
Zeeeeerg! we are endless!
UPD: well, until we have no more money
If there's 1 thing starcraft has taught me, it's that even the zerg needs money.
That was a lot of fun. That was "pull up youtube on the firestick and watch Falcon cast on the big screen" fun.
I think that if Larva had focused on killing that lone pylon in the last battle, he might have won. The storms and archons were still really really good, but deactivating 7 cannons could well have tipped it in his direction, given how tight it ended up being.

Hey falcon, a few questions.
1. Can you rank all races according to your taste.
2. What race do you play the most?
3. What’s your favorite match to cast?
Thanks for these casts!
1. Zerg/Terran/Protoss
2. Zerg
3. ZvP
Protoss should be the best race and most technologically advanced. Zerg are a cheap aliens rip-off with eyes.
@@donniebrasco1364 says the internet troll with a ripped off name. Go back to your cave.
THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!
nothing else I can say. Thanks Falcon.

That was one of the best and most interesting games I've ever seen
32:00 OMG such a great guadians spread!! so good kiting!!!
lol Falcon's AGONIZED laughs at the end
Just started watching your content and I'm hooked. More power Falcon.
Welcome aboard! I've got a huge back catalogue if you ever want more. :)
Great game, great casting, I sincerely hope you find more of these gems!
Best high Templar play by a Protoss. Phenomenal game
Almost 4 years later and my favourite match of all time
39:55 Defiler killed was the nail in the coffin. (In addition to the various assets lost by Zerg. Protoss defense was superb).
ahahah I laughed so hard, perfect timing on praising Shuttle for his art of shuttling
Hey Falcon, I've been binging your BW and SC2 replays the last couple weeks and having a blast. Used to play both a lot. Amazing replays and casts. PLAYGOOOO!!!
Glad you like them!
Every time Mr. Paladin says he might put an epic tag it never happens xD
It did though
@@TheEnergizer94 He added it afterwards to make me look foolish. DAMN YOU FALCON PALADIN!!
@@CauchemarGaming :D
THAT was some epic Protoss defense!
"Guardians have the second most HP behind the ultralisk for zerg"

In fairness, no one makes devourers. :D

Terry is not happy
Actually, the second place goes to Devoures with their 250 HP. Overlords have "only" 200.

28:03 I swear to god, I shouted aaaaargh when these 4 guardians instantly died
Comment for the algo; keep up the fantastic work!
What a game !!! Larva taking the middel base...LOVE IT
When my wife was teaching me Korean, she told me that Nun mul means Eye water. Which in turn means crying.
Nun mul jeul jeul is the complete sentence.

Nice spot, thanks. :)
Thanks for uploading. Awesome cast as always 👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
This must have been a heavily advertised match with so many players observing

Thank you :)
The Scout died when Larva made the initial heavy push with on the 7o'clock base. It died to Hydras xD
Thanks for putting out great Starcraft content as always!
Great Commentary!! Love your work.
Glad you enjoy it!
"is that a premature quit? - its the more storm, - I think he was just sick of being stormed in the face over and over and over again" LOL best comment ever xD so true hahah
That last part was insane!
29:56: Basically a long drawn out fight haha
The creativity in name selection is up there :-)
this is probably the best game you casted imo!!
You totally convinced me to drop a like. And this game is indeed epic. Kakaruuuu
Thank you!
Wow didn't see that GG coming, great game
The scout really won that game!
Click that damn ‘Like’ button y’all
Yeah!
Loved this cast!
I ALWAYS click the like button! Seems like Shuttle channeled some Jangbi with those storms
Thanks!
Love me some shuttle shuttles. The hi temp drops to save the base over and over.
Holy shit, probably gonna be one of my favorite matches
Longest scrapfest ever! Great stuff FP!
my god, i was missing guardians until now :D I hope there will be more games with them
no way I could predict the outcome of this match!
Just commenting and liking so the algorithm keeps showing me these videos 💪💪

Protoss is ridiculous. Everything just feels so OP.
thank you for all the zergies and such
Of course :)
needed to drop the last base early. Would have also liked to see a drone push at the end since he was spent anyways with 60+ drones
These guys make this game look easy I can barley beat the computer lol
SUCH A GOOD GAME, should have gone on tho!
Excellent match and cast Falcon!
How can anyone not "like" this? It's preposterous! I guess Larva could have continued playing for 5 mins, he got this far, but he was running out of resources.

What makes PvT better? Terran music!
So many guardians killed in this game. They cost a lot.
Yea I think he overcommited to them. A bunch was really smart to support his army but then his army was an airforce
