      In London there are plenty of houses for over £20 million that are terraced (houses attached both sides). This is Richmond and one of the most expensive areas in London (and therefore the UK) so it's good value.
      If you want detached, then go to a worse area outside London altogether. Problem solved.

      @@ToBeOrNotToBeThatIsTheQuestion the fact that you consider 20mill for a semi detached house ‘good value’ baffles me. There are plenty of amazing cities in the UK where £2mil will get you a mansion. Calling them ‘worse’ areas is wrong imo

      @@brapsdanigga I never said 20m was good value. I was pointing out that in London there are houses of that value in relation to people saying 2m is expensive. Of course 20m is expensive but it's the location that they are and will sell at. I have lived all over the UK and I know that 2m gets you a mansion in most parts. When I say, worse, I mean less desirable to some.

    One of the better ones for that price for sure! I'm not even surprised it's semidetached, still think that for London, 2.1 mil for this house is not horrible. Big garden, very nice lounge and kitchen area. I really like the layout of the house, the bedrooms are very decent size, all of them could fit a double bed AND a wardrobe which always seems to be missing. Only weird thing is the master bathroom, there is space for a second sink for sure. Either move the sinks to the wall with the shower, or move the shower flush to the sinks so that the toilet can be where the shower was previously. Also, that sink is tiny, wouldn't even be able to wash my hands in it properly.

    I personally would not want to live in London however it is a lovely house. The interior design is second to none which will assist in the sale of the property. In Kent this type of property would probably be between £750-£1,000,000 depending on its location.

    The outlook from the property is a bit dystopian with just cars parked everywhere. But I suppose that's the reality of the suburbs of London. Gotta get those spaces for his and hers Range Rover Evoques. Those a/c units slapped on the walls are a nice touch in a new build. Would have been nice to have vents and ducting to a central unit, but that cuts into P&L doesn't it. Bonus points for a top floor laundry room though - finally a developer does something unconventional but sensible. Of course the shoddy UK plumbing will likely ruin the ceiling below some day, but such is life.

    It’s a lovely home. I think for that price though I would expect a slightly larger garden, a playroom type area and a slightly larger living room. That living room looks small for a “family” house where there is essentially no space to store toys as you can’t fit in big wardrobes and not much storage. The kitchen is a winner though, beautiful. I think maybe some slight changes and it would be worth it’s price.

    Laundry room great idea at the top of the house but wouldn’t want to carry washing all that way down stairs. Mind you there is probably a covenant on the property restricting your hanging washing outside on a line, compulsory use of a tumble drier and send your ironing out to be done?

  • @polyannamoonbeam
    @polyannamoonbeam 3 роки тому

    Hmmm for a family house, very little storage space - inbuilt or space allocation unless you lose a room. No sink with wash machine station and no window... bad idea- you need a lot of air circulating in and out . It’s also still a thing... to dry clothes outside in fresh air in spring... big hike down. Very far from main family room if you need to be close to little people.
    You still need a utility on ground floor. Very cramped little kitchen area. I would like an enclosed balcony given it overlooks other gardens and faces onto dense housing- with sides to shade or protect from winds, to sit out with a book have privacy and watch the juniors below- well, to have the choice. Where I live, close to a beach, promenade, golf, tennis club, schools, shops, gyms, cinema, horse riding, woods, supermarkets and city centre this type of house is very common and is less than €700,000...! #Locationlocationlocation 😄

    Nice video!! I had a look at this development last summer, it was all brand new and needed maybe a decade or two of ageing to take place. I also remember being disappointed by the street lamps, even for a new development in Greater London for that price range I expected heritage street lamps. Thanks for keeping the music below acid level in this video; I have watched quite a few of your videos but in some of them the level and style of music can be a bit over bearing, particularly when you do the lovely country houses/estates. Having said that I do fall into the older age category and might be turning into a miserable old git without realising!! Can you just confirm that this house has no central heating and it is all controlled by those wall units, if so, I just wondering how much noise they make? The house did look warm enough and I was not sure if those wall units were currently switched on heating the house, i.e. they are virtually silent. Good luck to you both and I look forward to your next video....
