I much prefer the new lighting fixtures in the Ted Williams Tunnel. They are wayyy brighter than the original set which, apart from the low-pressure sodium lights at the start of the tunnel, were hardly bright at all-you could see where you were going.
The state of Massachusetts is getting ready for a decade-long highway project to replace the elevated viaduct of I-90 in Allston with a redesigned at-grade interchange that allows for the highway layout to be straightened along exit 131 - beginning at 11:15 The challenge lies in how narrow the corridor between the Charles River and abutting properties are, just a couple hundred feet at the most narrow points, for 8 lanes of interstate, 4 lanes of local parkway traffic, a pedestrian path on the river, and 2 rail lines. The land currently sitting idle is the former Beacon Rail Yard, which along with the adjacent parcels that will be opened up with the removal of the highway is all owned by Harvard University, which plans to expand upon its presence in Allston with another multi-billion, mixed-use development.
@@Mike_Greentea having lived and commuted through Allston for several years, it's already horrendous during rush hour so the traffic during construction will be unreal

I first drove through Boston in July 2019. The traffic was constant and a bit crazy but I saw a lot and enjoyed the drive. Strange enough, even with the crazy traffic I didn't think the drivers were rude. The 'MASShole' stereotype didn't really apply in Boston at all. It was in Providence, Rhode Island where I encountered the very rude drivers, the REAL assholes!
@@Irishluckily Funny thing is I got to see everything in Beantown - Boston Garden, Beacon Hill, the Hub of the Solar System (Massachusetts State Capitol), CHEERS / Bull and Finch Pub, Arthur Fiedler Memorial Bridge, Quincy, Renway Park, MIT, everything. It was very hard to take pictures while driving to say the least but for the most part I was able to up to a point. There was just constant traffic, and on top of that there were MANY bikers heading to Gillette Stadium for a biker rally memorial service for the New Hampshire Jarhead Seven that were killed earlier that year (and countless were injured and crippled for life as well). You DON'T want to cause an accident in a scenario like this! Crazy yes, but not rude drivers. 'MASSholes'? I don't think so, and I drove without a guide map or GPS! At least I enjoyed the drive big time, got a lot from it, even if it was on a Sunday. My AAA guide book told me it should've taken 35 minutes to travel from Massachusetts to Connecticut the next day, it took over an hour! THAT's where the assholes really were! And when I reentered Massachusetts later on the driving through the western part of that state was just fine. Go figure.

That was fun; pass the state police post and, a mile later, here they come to get you. But it's not you. OK. I'll just move along here. This must be Sunday morning; by reputation, this road never has this light of traffic. Driving through Boston? Get in your hole and stay there. Did see the light towers for Fenway on the way by.

It’s their trading facilities! Very fancy
Love Boston! A lot of people say Jacksonville is the better city however I disagree, Boston is much more walkable.
film it at rush hour and you'll have to do four parts
