The thing I hate about these speedruns is the time it takes me to pull off some of the off map tricks is slower then grinding my way through the enemies on legendary...

Not to mention the bullshit at 4:19. If I don’t get shot I make the jump, the Promethean and elite immediately stop there fight, turn and kill me. If I get shot and don’t make the jump, I go around, the promethean and elite stop their fight, turn and kill me. No matter what I’m dead. I’ve tried this 20 times so I call bullshit and pure luck unless they repeat it multiple times in a row.
@@bonmarlock1753 you call bullshit? He's beaten the game 500 times on legendary and spent countless hours crafting these runs. Pretty sure it's legit buddy
"We went up the middle and almost never got shot..." I have gone up the middle of that last fight 30 times and 100% of the time I got killed. Usually sniped in the back. I used Nak3d Eli's move to the left from his speedrun and that worked, but now I'm checkpointed there and all Covenant are dead. So, they are just targeting me. The enemies in this game are OP, but that is a rant for another time.
The out of the map run has to be specific. I tried it for 30 minutes straight after killing the enemies. The jump on the button is a standard jump, the jump to the slant is a crouch jump and the jump to the rocks, the one I kept failing, is a sprint multi-crouch jump. It'd be nice instead of saying, "just jump here" you differentiated between a standard jump, crouch jump, multi-crouch jump, sprint jump, and sprint crouch jump. Because that would save the aggravation the rest of us are having when following your videos.
Ya go up the middle never get shot my ass. They're all surrounding the fucking middle. These vids are just lucky as hell honestly
The bit where you have to fly the banshee over and under invisible walls is just about impossible unless you kill both of the two banshees in the area. Even one will kill you every time.

The first bit up to 1:30 took me 51 minutes D: That particular part is very dark on the video and hard to see what you're doing...
That first jump sequence is a pain in the ass man. I finally *kinda got the jump from the pillar to the out of bounds area down but then I keep falling through the map when I try jumping from rock to rock.

After trying the first 4 jumps for an hour I broke my controller basically I'm not doing anymore speedruns
This doesn't work anymore, when im at the balls part It says that I have to actívate the first bridge AND i cant pass! Wtf help please.
Edit: Solved, I had to throw a grenade to destroy the 3rd Ball.
At 5:50 when you take the banshee up... I got caught in a spot out of the map with a checkpoint there 😭 any way out of it? My checkpoint is like right over top the elevator. Tried walking all around and I either fall all the way to my death or can’t move
Same, I had to restart. Needed to use the banshee to get through the barrier
Wow that out of map skip looks beautiful can't wait to test it out. I wonder how Infinity will be....
Fun fact. Ejecting from the banshee at the wrong time in yhe elevator can leave you inside a wall with the game saving over your own mistake so you're forced to restart from the very beginning. Fun!

The "simple slip and jump" doesn't feel as simple as the descriptor suggests

I can't seem to do the jump at 1:05 seconds in the beginning. It keeps forcing me out

Wow, thanks so much for this. I did the banshee trick in one try. That section is fucking hard, especially with those 3 invisible banshees lol
Btw, I got stuck just one time. If you fly too low after passing both barriers, you will get stuck under the platform. I had to barrel flip a couple of times but I still managed to load the next area.
I am having a VERY hard time with the jump at 1:04. MAN is that jump hard to pull off!

for real...fuck him for just breezing by like it was nothing, i couldnt get it even with those promethean dogs being killed first for a solid 20 mins

THANK GOD for this guide....that first fight after the small light bridge at 0:49 made me slam my desk so hard so many times my hand went numb...there is ABSOLUTELY no way in HELL i could EVER kill that knight, theres not enough ammo or any gun worth a shit there. Legit the last time i tried before i watched this, i legit point blank 2 full mags of suppressor, 2 melees, 4-5 shots of the prometheam pistol, then threw 1 grenade, and STILL i died to him 1 tapping me with the stupid arm sword after he teleported behind me
This would have been useful with an overlay showing the inputs. The jump where you "slide" off the pillar onto the cliff is so beyond annoying. I had no issue with that part for like the first 30min trying it and was having trouble with the long multi crouch jump not long after it.
But then once I had that harder one down, suddenly for no reason I cannot even do the first jump and I can't figure out what bad habbit I've developed that has stopped me being able to do it.

This is so annoying. I’ve got to the point with the S curve but I can’t SEE a THING on your video it’s so dark, I don’t understand where to drop in
Does he not read the comment and get that we would rather have his gameplay which is easier and safer, instead of the world record runs thats pretty tough and risky for a normal speedrun ):
Laegland not sure how risky this run was though, he hardly lost his shields all game. The first encounter of the Crawlers, Eli says that its safer to shoot them all. Everywhere else you can just run straight past, it all looks safe as houses.
Nic McCartin Yea, this map is somewhat easy to pull off, however, many of the other map, like the map before this one, isnt as easy. Many risky strats to get the world record, which are not necessary for a normal speed run of the game
The only part fucking me up is getting down from the "s curve."

that first jump is so awful, i keep either only sprinting or only jumping
I liked it when eli did these runs.
That second jump is a lot easier than the first from the ramp. I usually keep a couple crawlers alive to headshot once I'm up to get a checkpoint. I can't for the life of me fall back into the map without sliding down the hallway walls though.

I can't fucking get past the first jump, at the bridge! I have used 36 minutes, and I barely have made it 10 times, and then the second jump comes, wich is impossible. Can't say this was much of a speedrun for me..

Different, previous mission that was uploaded about 2-3 weeks ago. His friends beat that mission, not Forerunner.
His time is at the top, 10:02, not the 10:07 mentioned on the side.

No it won't I'm pretty sure don't worry about half the time in the other halo games I finished a mission on legendary didn't get achievement until if finished the whole game
You people make this look too easy.
Playing this level legendary. Wish some of these tricks would work for me. Would make it much easier than the grind that it is.
For halo 4 the knights were so hard on legendary i had to assassinate every one i fought except when i got a powerful weapon
At 4:00 something that jump over the battle there is a better one closer to the pathway wich can cut off a few seconds

he could have gotten it if he didn't hit the ground nose first near the end of the ghost run...if he kept going and didn't stop he would have gotten sub 10 probably like 9:58 or 9:59 but still would have been sub 10

Guess I just have bad luck. Every time I try the out of map glitch with the banshee I get killed while going through the tower. No matter how fast I go the first banshee always hits with my a banshee bomb or all elites shoot at me while going by the center building and damage the banshee too much.
Albert Little yea it's just bad RnGs, you have to avoid shots from the ground and shots from the banshee, it's really random.
I ended up just bombing all the cores and flying up there like I did back on the 360. Was only going for the 3 hour achievement for H4. Not world record times.
i found somthing that could save some time
in the out of map glitch with the banshee i got stuck behind an invisable wall and had to restart

what time in between does he usually makes his speed run videos like does he do them every week or every 5 days somebody plz tell me?
Really it matters how long they take to do the run. They may get Lucky and get a world record 1st run or maybe be stuck for a week or 2 on 1 mission. Roughly, I'd say every week there is a new run.
Eli has recently been working 3 jobs right now so he tries to get a video out once a week. Currently for me, there are 5 missions left to make videos have, i have completed the World Record on 2 of them ( recently one was just beaten so i have to redo it) so he has some vids in a backlog but has been a bit to busy to dish them out, plus i still gotta nab WR for next level anyways
Proacejoker Can you make videos that are actually helpful and are not rushed in explaining everything? No new player like me can possible pull these tricks off and i have more questions than answers? So next time actually make a tutorial vid that actually EXPLAINS the tricks instead of giving a brief overview. K thnx

I think this is my favorite mission in H4. Not only does it provide an introduction for the Prometheans, but I some how happen to find it epic in quite a few ways. It sort of reminds of The Covenant mission from H3, going into different towers to shut things down, etc. The Didact cinematic also adds so much to the story, not to mention that the ghost sequence at the end is also epic, though not as epic as the Warthog Run in H3, it's still a fun way to end a level! :D
To each their own. The Covenant is 100 times better in my opinion.
That is because it is! The Covenant is one of my top missions in the Halo franchise! No amount of goodness in H4 can ever come close to literally anything in H3! :D
Everyone does know that this run didn't take him a total of 10 minutes, right? What took you 2+ hours grinding through took guys like this WEEKS to perfect a speedrun. They also don't mention that a perfect breeze like this is purely out of luck. Not skill. Which is also about a 5/100,000 chance. So, not only may you not fly through, but even if you got the jump practice down, you still need that small luck on your side to not get torn to shreds by the AIs. Just something to keep in mind.
I followed your guide to complete this mission but I did not get an achievement for completing it. I only got the achievement for carrying a UNSC weapon the whole time. Do you think this will disable the legend achievement?
Did you do it on the MCC or Halo 4 on the 360?
