Should i also track mutual funds with this? Mutual funds pay dividends, but eoy they also pay capital gains distributions that are reinvested just like dividends. Should i list the capital gains distribution as dividends instead of gains for the sake of the calculations? I hope that made sense. for instance i was looking at selling pogrx and buying jepi because the pogrx dividend rate is 0.51and jepi is 7.61. However pogrx also had capital gains distribution at eoy and in the end taking that into consideration pogrx income was 10% vs jepi 7.6%.
I can’t seem to get the dividend calendar tab to show my dividends? The daily dividends is showing up when I put them in but not on the dividend calendar.
How does this Tool Kit account for individual stock transactions vs. market returns from the SNP vs. QQQ annualized for example? Say I've bought several shares of Meta but then trimmed the position to realize a gain? Or say I've held many shares of Ally over the span of five years and have always held a position but have bought, sold, then re-bought portions of the position over that time? Does this DIY tool account for total portfolio performance including transactions during that time frame relative to qqq or spy?
Nice update, but I will make one comment on the stock tab. The removal of the daily gain is a bit disappointing. I do see the dollar gain and the growth, but it was nice to see how much it made in this current day.
When im adding .L to the stock for stocks on London exchange, the stock prices in the database is listed in pence, but the spreadsheet reads it as pounds. So, a £23.49 stock is coming up is £2349 (as its listed in the database in pents/cents.....) How can i fix this please?
Hi, I am having a problem with column P in the stocks tab, from line 61 onwards I keep getting an Error Message "Error Did not find value "RBLX" in VLOOKUP evaluation, every stock that I put in after that line has the same error message, e.g. RMD & ROKU. How can I contact you direct?
I was wondering if you decide to cancel your subscription. What happens to the information? Does the Google sheets still work? Will it still update automatically?
Hi. I have a question. Was entering data in your sheet. I encounter a pricing bug when i enter a LSE exchange stock such as RIO. It fetches the price in pence, because that is the way stocks are listed on the London Stock exchange. What can i do to fix it?
I am just starting with this - but how do I link my brokerage accounts? I don't see where I can plug in how much I purchased the stocks for etc. Can you help?
Some of my stocks are priced in pence rather than pounds. To resolve this I simply added a divide by 100 to the formula is this fine to do or will it affect the formula across the sheet ?
Tickerdata allows data to be automatically imported into your spreadsheet. Thats what allows the spreadsheet to work and be automated :) See this video for examples: ua-cam.com/video/dsmQt7tVcGk/v-deo.htmlsi=qo4A7fKwM0fvr3yO
Amazing work, I would love it more if you can add witholding Tax % too like i live in Germany if i received dividend from USA stock then i have to pay 15% withholding tax 1st. Thank you
Looks great, thanks for fixing the currencies. If i have been using 6.0, will it automatically start converting or will i have to transfer the data onto a new 7.0?
Question for anyone. I'm not sure how to load tickerdata add on through Google sheets on iPad. There's no menus. (I'm probably looking at the wrong spot)
What if I have some stocks that's been bought in my regional currency and others in USD? Seems like just changing currency in stock tab is making all wierd stuff in this case. Probably because it's not updating price as it has different price than USD
@@Dividendology Hmmm so let's say. 1 stock I bought for 100 X and another for 100 X as well but it's been listed as 300 Y (whatever currency I use). I should put price as 100 and 100 after I do currency conversion + set currency to X? And vice versa. If I want this to be in my currency I do currency exchange and set these as 300 and 300? I think it's how it works and have to put price in one selected currency only (do currency exchange manually). It seems to go wierd if I put 100 and 300. It wont know if it's currency X or Y. So chart looks at set currency as X for example and calculate all Y prices as X which is incorrect. That's what I get form observations at least cos it went kinda weird with mixed currencies.
Got a question: what if you have different instances of the same stock? For example, you have SCHD in two different accounts, and need to list them separately because there’s different share and purchase price info. Does that dividend information still pull correctly?
Hi Good Sir, was wondering if you could help explain something. I track individual purchase transactions for my stocks to know the average purchase price for that particular stock. But what I can't seem to wrap my head around is if I partially sold out of the position, what becomes of my average purchase price and how would it affect my market value? Example: I buy 10 shares at an average price of $1 averagePrice: 1, costBasis: 10, quantity: 10, I then sell 5 of these shares at market price of $5 averagePrice: ??? costBasis: ??? quantity: 5 Could you share how you would calculate this in the spreadsheet if you know how? Thank you very much!
Could you help me out with your sheet? I have a trial to tickerdata and some of the cells on the stock holdings tab reference the lines above, so the formulas are not correct and a lot of the data is unreliable.
Looking at the sheets, can it track my Malaysian stock portfolio in MYR currency together with my US stocks? (Edited: looking at your video again, yes it is! 🎉)
I just bought the pro protfolio tracker and Im trying to input my first stock (BATS.L). I bought 0.9 shares and the share price is £23.50. Can anyone please tell me why it is saying that my 0.85 share of a £23.45 valued share is coming up in the PRICE column as £2349. Its actually worth £19.85, so why is it saying its worth thousands? Any help is appreciated.

Hi I have a question, when you buy the tickerdata for 1 month just for the spreadsheats and then cancel will they stop working?
Yes! Access to the Tickerdata functions is what allows these sheets to be automated!
What if you just continue with the standard membership?

Make sure you plug in the dates in the same way they are formatted on the dividend calendar!

Is there a plan to be able to just link our brokerage accounts like other divedend trackers out there?
If this gets added and portfolio div overall growth rate I’m sold
thats a good idea. I'll make a note of that!
do you manually need to add your data or does it connect to your brokerage account and auto populate?
Manually

The auto thing is the whole point 😮
Is there anyway to get the toolkit as a one time download that doesn't require new logins/profiles?
For the sheet to work, you have to have an account with Tickerdata.com for the data to auto update!
Wondering what this would look like if you had 20 or 30 positions. Would it make it unreadable in sections like "Cost and Market Value, etc..?
I personally have 30 positions and use it.
Can you change the date in the sheets to dd/mm/yyyy for people outside of america?
