Gcam is been a big time savior for my Midrange phones. In comparison to stock cam except for stabilization everything else seems miles ahead. Definitely would recommend every android user to try for once.
Gcam is such a blessing for old and midrange phones. I wish it was more compatible with the exyos variant of Samsung. I would really like to see more comparisons with gcam with other devices, also in low light. It would exciting to see the difference
The first time I used GCam was with a Redmi Note 7, the first one to be compatible with GCam ports. The results were amazing, it takes better photos than my Mi 10T Pro 🥲 i miss my old redmi note 7

Dynamic range is not what you think. Dynamic range just means capturing more detail in bright and dark areas, using multiple parts of a longer exposure to add the short and normal detail.
The best part about Gcam isn't better Google algorithms but the ability to tweak and customize everything shadow,midtone, highlights, colour, WB, HDR processing, Dynamic range EVERYTHING specialy the LMC variant of the Gcam. stock settings are pretty trash
Gcam has many issues especially with stabilization and you can't use max resolution on photos, it's optimized for Google cameras , I've tried many versions and I wouldn't recommend it at all
GCAM has long term research for color labs, most smartphone outside there are actually embedded with incredible hardware. however, some little research of brand or even hardly pressing down budget for this and most smartphone tend to beauty adjustments (flawless output), Google and Apple giving cinematic and epic color combination without excepting ambience level
Gcam works really good if there was enough sunlight But when it's cloudy or well lit Try to adjust brightness and may have to remove HDR + And at night Gcam wins.
I think I never used my stock camera app on my phone since I have Gcam installed on my phone. I don't know how to configurate the settings on Gcam but luckily there is a lot of configuration on UA-cam that we can download and apply on our phone. Right configuration make the result even better.
I have a52s I use gcam for extreme lowlights scenarios, front and wide angle.. I had A70 b4 pretty much almost every time I was using gcam thanks to them having snapdragon instead of exy.. I am waiting for pixel 7a hopefully with a 90hz display : )
Yup i always use Gcam on my lg v50. Works on all 5 lenses on my device. Photos are totally different from stock lg camera. But for videos i use the stock lg camera app since it offers much better controls and stabilization

I use Gcam mod on my S20FE 5G for 3x zoom shots (portrats or regular shots). Exceptional quality. Rest are better on my stock cam. Actually worse the camera sensor, better does Gcam mod work. My 4 year Zenfone Max Pro M1 is a testament to Gcam Mod's capabilities. I used Gcam mod and still use it on that phone ever since I took it out of the box. Those days it required more work, had to unlock the bootloader and enable camera2api and then used Pixel 2 Gcam Mod. Exceptional photos, better than many iphones of the time.

Wow, my previous phone was asus max pro m1 and I unlocked camera to api on that and I got much better photos with gcam And now I'm using s20 fe 5g and I'm using gcam but I couldn't find any differences between gcam and stock cam
I am currently using G Cam on my Realme 8. Outstanding performance!! . I like natural photos than the over processed photo. So I use g cam for photos on main camera . My GCam version doesn't support ultrawide lens. So I use stock camera for ultra wide . GCam shoots 99.5% natural colours and so much details. And it gives much better night mode photos. I am completely satisfied with G cam . ( If anyone have the Gcam port with ultra wide lens for realme 8 , please let me know.)
I tried GCAM on the S22 Ultra against the stock camera, there are almost no difference and those times there were any difference, the stock camera came out slightly better. I'm not sure if it's cos Samsung doesn't use Camera API. But thankfully i'm pretty satisfied with Samsung's stock camera photos quality.

Even now I use Filmic Pro other camera API enabled phones have a lot of support but the S22 Ultra don't even have 4K 60fps and they have been waiting on Samsung end for it I think. First of all if you're using a exynos version gcam doesn't work at all , some gcams may not work properly and need a XML file to properly use all sensor and have correct functionality.

That whole 'watercolour' look from the 10x zoom on the GCam looks exactly the same as what you get when you zoom in that much on the Pixel 6a, so that's just the Google software trying to cope with the lack of a telephoto lens.
better for photo only, not video. It seems like gcam apk can't handle ois hardware on my LG v50, the video always has the same jiggy jaggy like your footages no matter which stabilization mode is on. I've tried 7.3 and 8.1, the same issue. Switch back to LG cam and the ois work perfectly fine (for android level, of course)
I am using gcam on my realme 9 pro plus ❤️. It takes beautiful photos when compared to the realme system camera in day light. The system camera is better in taking nightshots. But when it comes to the astrophotography mode gcam perfectly wins. Astrophotography mode on gcam is way better than the sttarry mode on the realme system camera app.
My phone turned into a camera beast after installing Gcam port(Redmi 9 power).....Omg I can't believe the HDR processing is soo good sometimes it looks like the photo taken by gcam looks like a flagship device image quality 😼🔥

Bro front video is not stablized in this video because you do not apply optical image stabilization .....How can you on it(OIS Stabilisation) after video record touch on edit and there you will rectangle type shaky logo touch it and your video is ready with smooth stablisation
All GCams I ever tried I couldn't acces more than main sensor, front and back. No ultra wide, and the zoom and portrait have been done digitally on Gcam. More than this, the new cameras from popular brand track the eyes or faces better then a moded, laggy gcam.

G cam is just great i still remember using it with my oneplus 3t and it took some pretty awesome photos that one cant imagine came out of 3t.
Most impressive gcam port is the one for the Asus Zenfone 9. It catapults its camera capabilities right into real upper flagship territory

Gcam on LG v40 was a great experience
I used that for taking birthday photos severally and the result was always shocking
I had a V30 and the difference was crazy. LGs had great hardware in place but the software processing couldn't catch up probably.

yesterday I installed gcam n compared gcam quality and my mi 11x quality.. Gcam was honestly so f**ing cool
