Hi Becky, I found you here on UA-cam just this year and watched a handful of your vlogs, LOVE them! I've come back to the start to now watch them all and thought I'd comment here as you were talking about inspiring people to get outdoors, I'm 47, live on 3 acres of wood/grass land yet have never camped out! I'm just about to make my first camp this week and it's all down to you! Thank you so so much! 💚🌿🍁👞🎒🐌🌳🍄💚
It’s a breath of fresh air watching a young kid doing this stuff I gt 2 kids my daughter is 15 she woodnt stay out in the garden lol well done
Buster is such a good friend to have out camping with you. He's so chill. For me the #1 hygiene thing is my feet, keeping them clean and dry. Happy feet makes a happy camper.
Yeah hes so lovely and adaptable. Yes agreed feet are very important. Thanks for your comment :)
Keep up the good work young lady, you are a great example for other young bush crafters!
Thank you Kevin!
Very cool ☺️ as a guy, I have to say, my Bush craft skills are honed to building shelter, making fire, and finding food. This kind of film was great for, someone like me, and really haven’t seen anything like this before, so thx loads.
Ah great, thank you :)
Girl Outdoors only thing I’d say is that I’d pass on the fluffy pink slippers... but that’s just me lol. Love it, I have officially seen it all now! Keeping pink slippers, pink, in the field! There’s girls in the army that would be very impressed with you 😂🤣😂👍🏼
The best part of the video: Dexy’s Midnight Runners playing in the background. One of my all time favorites.
It's good to see a girl who enjoys the wilderness and getting out in the woods and enjoying nature you got a pretty cool channel sometimes you just got to get away from technology and enjoy the woods
I just discovered your videos and you're doing a great job! In my younger days I did a great deal of camping in Northern Ontario and watching you at your camp makes me so nostalgic. A tip perhaps you could try: pack with your foodstuffs a box of baking soda. It makes a great hair wash if you have enough water to rinse with - make a small amount of paste with about a tablespoon of the soda and massage it gently into your hair and scalp. Rinse and the grease goes with it, leaving your hair lovely and clean and shiny. It will work for washing face and body as well but don't rub too hard. I'm so happy I found your channel!
Thanks for the tips and your message , I will try that. 😊
Pine Needles are Long and Thin and come in pairs.
Fir Needles are short and stumpy and come in singles.
Botany is an incredible science
Buster was off to a slow start in this video... He seems pretty laid back. Awesome dog.
I get so relaxed hear ya´talking you doin realy good,...it i like meditation
Well done, glad you enjoyed being out by yourself. Hats off to you.
Thank you very much. Yeah it was really diff rent but loved it
i'm a lady cyclist building up to a solo overnighter ~ you are inspirational
Great video! I like watching nature, discover and slow down...
Now a pine 🛁 sounds great
Pink slippers in the woods?! Now I could honestly say I’ve seen it all. Hey, whatever rocks your boat.
Haha

Thanks for the shares! Great ones! Hellos from Switzerland!
Absolutely fantastic darling it's a very big well done from me. I've got four girls my self and they don't like wild camping witch is a shame. But it's a fantastic video you made 🌲🌲👍😀xx⛺️⛺️😀
Thank you very much. Ah that is a shame :/ how old are they? Take care - Becky
Hygiene is THE most important thing for survival..it also gives you an energy boost to fresh up
Thanks for mentioning the moss being antibacterial. I had no idea about that. That is very handy as there is always moss everywhere
Thanks for this video. Some times near the camp or in a tent someone forgets about hygiene. Some times this can be a deal breaker in future trips for that person.
Yeah exactly, thought it was a good topic to cover. Thanks for sharing :)
Good on you buddy ;) it’s bloody awesome getting out and about in nature away from all the craziness 👍🏻🇦🇺 well done ;)
Nice video!
Love your videos and your channel. Subscribed and thumbs up. ATB - Zam,Frugal Camping Malaysia
Thanks you very much, glad you liked my videos :)
You can use the whole plant of Ragged Robin and Soapwort in the same way you used those pine needles to make a really good gentle cleanser for skin and clothes. The thick fleshy rhizome at the base of that dead bracken can be turned into a good wash too though it takes more effort.
Thank you for sharing that, great stuff! :)
Have you ever used soap wort tree leaves for washing? Ray Meares taught me that... on his TV programme.
اسلوب جميل وفتاه جميله
very interesting.a subject rarely touched upon in 'bushcraft' videos.all a part of plant knowledge really important knowledge;which like you said is neglected 'these days' of foolish environmental destruction. It is possible to live gently on the land.thanks for the videos.
Many thanks for watching Tim
Becky, That nettle must be one of those weeds that needs lots of sun to thrive. I noticed how abundant it grew in that pasture and how scarce it was in the wooded area's. That moss is a wonderful thing in so many ways. I've heard that some survivalists will use it to squeeze fresh drinking water out of when no other source is available. Ya gotta love that Mother Nature. She seems to have3 a cure for just about everything as long as we look for it. Awesome video. Thank you for sharing.
Yeah i agree there was hardly any nettles growning in the woods. Yes the moss is such great stuff. Thank you very much, glad you liked my video :)
Nettles grow in the open. Tree falls, certain species move in ☆
where I live they tend to grow in the wooded river bottoms more than anywhere else. they make it tough to get to our favorite fishing holes, it's tough walking through them, sometimes they are over head high.
Who ever made that statement that you can never get too much of a good thing must not have met the river bottom thistles. It's rough when ya gotta take a weed eater along as part of your fishing gear L.O.L.
I've just found your channel but it's so addicting + you inspired me a lot
Awesome! Thank you!
Nettles are a favourite of mine, you are right you do need plenty for any taste. Thats why I tend to add as a salad dressing for a main meal.
Ah that sounds like a really nice idea! cheers :)
Wow.You have so much courage doing this on your own.Simply an amazing job.Thank you for the education your giving all of us.....Subscribed
Thank you very much, thats very kind of you
Great upload, really interesting...
I'm in love with the dog 🐶
This vid is my first one, of yours, for me to watch, thanks. I like it.
Those stinging nettles are the highest green in protein. They are called urzica in Romanian and are very popular there. People in WWII survived on it there. We have them here in North Carolina and they like the heat or the cold.
hello from Argentina, great vídeo. congratulates!!
hiya :) thank you!
+Girl Outdoors you wellcome!
Hardcore now little-un! Natural ingredients etc for washing with...brill video. The hardest one is throughout the winter, when you have to shower and it's bitter cold lol... almost painful right down to your bones.
The sphagnum moss...great idea if it's available in your woodland. Awesome feathersticks too. Look forward to your next video. Best wishes - Steve
P.S. It's always good to see not just guys practising bushcraft...Wildsoul Vee, Survival Lilly and Amelie's outdoor adventures...and now yourself. Good example to many
Thank you! Yes i agree going to be bloody cold aha. Yea i agree would be great to see more women into bushcraft and the outdoors :) Thanks for your comment Steve :)
Moon look so beautiful on the earth 🌎
- We -
We stand alone
On shores of stone
To greet the morning sky,
We splash in waves
On rainy days
As watchers wonder why;
We smile at air
When no one's there
And slow dance just for fun,
We share our feats
In Twitter tweets
To the evening sun;
By dark of night
And candlelight
We rest our souls awhile,
Though weary we
And windswept be
The dawn will see us smile.
(Keep exploring and discovering) 🌾🌾
Thnx for the moss tip
Hi Becky, Another great video. A little tip regarding Charcoal is that it can be also be used to clean teeth, just need to rinse thoroughly after brushing, also, I've heard that it is good for neutralizing food poisoning, though you may want to google this!
Anyway, I hope this is of some help. ATB. Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family.
Thanks Steve for the information, nature is so good at providing everything that we need. Happy Christmas 🎄
1st time I see your video
Wonderful ❣️ love from Malaysia
Keep up the great work Becky. Enjoy your channel. Your parents must be fantastic, letting you follow your dreams. Good luck, be safe.
Thank you ;)
Found u from PamtheVan. She recommend your channel. My teenage daughter and I learned so much from just this one video. Interestingly she bought a charcoal face mask today and after seeing your video she was inspired to try to make one next time.
Ah awesome, will have to try find that video. Yeah thats great, she will have a lot of fun doing that - much more beneficial than the ones you buy.
Very informative video. Nice to see a girl with survival skills. This will hopefully inspire other girls and young people in general too to get in tach with nature and live from the land becourse this is now more important than ever. The last few years I do research how to process and conserve natural foods and I want to learn my knowledge to other peolpe by giving workshop but this indeeds takes a lot of confidence.
Thank you for your kind words. That's sounds great, if you would do workshops for young people, i know that i would want bush craft and survival workshops here in England but they don't seem to do it where i am from as the outdoors isn't very popular.
Great taste in music! And great video!
Great video. Greetings from Belize.Central .A
Another Great video.Keep them coming.
Thank you very much, will do :)
Nice vid! Those bubbles as you call them (I call them blisters) contain sap that is high in resin so also good for fire starting. Both nettles and dandelions are very good but you won't find them that much in the forest. More in agricultural area's. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much for your comment and the advice, was wondering what they were aha
Its Balsam not pine. And i wouldn't bother harvesting the sap for fire starter. Pitch makes good firestarter but sap has a high ignition temperature and if you get it on your hands (particularly between your fingers) you'll regret it for the next 3 days.
Great video becky your doing a great thing keep it up.really enjoyed watching this
Thank you very much, much appreciated :)
Glad see another person around my age doing this stuff especially another girl!
Hope I have inspired you!!
You're a great inspiration for all Teenagers and old People like myself. Good on you Girl. I bet in time you will be on TV like Ray Mears and Bear Grylls
Thats so good to hear, thank you very much! Aha hopefully :)
I'm from indonesian

Your UA-cam channel is going to be huge .
aw thanks very much! Hopefully it will :)
not a subject ive seen covered in bushcraft before,
i know you can brush teeth with charcoal too,
usually for hygiene i use lemon scented wet wipes, (helps keep the bugs away)
Ah sounds like a good idea, thanks for that :)
Your Base camp looks cool with all the different lean to's. Good video keep up the good work Bravo!
Thank you 👍
You are welcome my new friend. And thank you for becoming a friend. Your friend David
Thank you David :)
I will say this, I’ve never seen you look dirty in any video I’ve watched. I don’t know how you stay so clean, but great job.
Hi Becky wanted to say your channel is very interesting looking forward to seeing more videos.

Ah great! Thank you for sharing William :)
You sound like you are from the UK. I am from the UK originally but live in the USA now. I miss the long hikes I use to do when I lived in the UK. Going into the mountains for 4 weeks at a time with about 1 week of food and living off the land for the rest. I would recommend storing at least 6oz of charcoal in case you need to take it for a bad stomach. If you eat something poisonous the charcoal will absorb the toxins. The moss also contains iodine so it can help in water treatment.
Thanks for the tips, 😃 Yes I am from the uk. Merry Christmas 🎄
You are doing great, Little lady. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your comment
Fun. ✌️👊
Stephi Margeth was helping her dad build a hunting blind (or ..stand). She asked him what you call it in German. He spoke in German, she translated it to: climb up and look around the place chair. LOL. She is so funny, I think I know where she gets some of her humor from ;)
aha she cracks me up, awesome
i use soap on my hair too, haven't bought shampoo in years, too harsh
Just watched your solo camp program . Very impressed. Keep up the good work.
Thankyou very much, means a lot!
Great videos. It's good to see young people getting out there and learning. Your spot on about the benefits of wild foods etc... must admit though I've yet to try the pine pins lol. Subbed any way keep up the good work.
Thank you for subscribing and your comments 😊
Great companion you have, I never go camping w/o mine. Those are fir 🌲 needles, not sappy, smell great.
Admire your moxie.
Yeah i love Buster to bits! Yeah they smelt great. Thanks very much, much appreciated :)
Inspiring thanks, i should do it someday , you inspires me thanks 😍😍😍
Kamu hebat... 👍👍
I'm interested in seeing the other shelters in the background. Could you do a quick vid on the inside of them and of their construction? Would be greatly appreciated. ty
Yeah sure will, take care:)
Go Girl...!!! 😉👌👍👊
Thank you for this video! You are a very nice young girl. Make every effort to remain nice to all you meet..
Thank you so much! Yep doesnt cost anything to smile and be kind :)
I'm sure your channel will keep growing you talk common sense. its nice to see young people have a interest in Bush craft you never know when you may need it in the future. Liked your bigfoot calling video that's how I first found your channel. Keep up the hard work have you talked to sponsors etc you should test equipment too.
Thank you very much for your comment, appreciate it. No not yet :)
i love this video
great stuff good to see the younger generation doing this your like the uk version of savial lilly well done
Yeah would be great to see others into the outdoors my age. Aha thank you!
Fair play to you. I at the moment am an arm chair bush crafter. but hoping to get out and do it for real with my six year old daughter.
Thank you very much, aw that should be great, bet your daughter will love it!
at what age were you out with your dad?
That was actually a fir tree, not pine or spruce. Probably balsam fir. They have the resin blisters Just saying, makes good
Tea as well.
This is brilliant, I can see all the Instagram girls thinking “ no way I would do that “ pout pout #selfie
i use French soap ~ i buy it online ~ i would never use any other soap
most supermarket soaps are so harsh....if it gets in your eye.... it stings for hours
Me encanta
Another few good tips there, and you explain everything so well. I've always benefitted from camping near running water, a river or the sea but that has always been down to preference.....and of course the fishing, even from an early age..so swimming almost daily took care of the flies hahaha 😂
Great stuff..cheers 👍
Yeah thats what my camp is missing, would be great will a nearby stream or something. Thank you :)
Youve grown up here and now .love from nepal .you inspire girl empowerment .after bushcraft why don't you get started withcraft 🤣😉😉😉😉
