Green, meaning envious; he wants the recognition and respect that he deserves, but doesn’t get from a lot of people. Also it’s an obvious nod to the anger he’s feeling about it, since when Bruce Banner turns “green” (or into the hulk), he’s angry. There’s also the weed strain reference like you mentioned. Plus, on top of all that, he could be referring to all the money he’s making, hence he’s “getting green”. The layers this man has are unreal, even on his seemingly simplistic bars. I think that’s the reason a lot of people see Em as “corny”; they might catch one of the surface level meanings of the entendres and see it as simplistic, but they don’t catch the wordplay and other less obvious meanings behind the words

When he said “get a whiff of the doctor’s medicine” it’s not just talking about Dr. Dre. He himself is the doctor (Dre)’s medicine because the doctor “made” him like a doctor makes medicine. But then he goes on to say “like sedatives you’ll get popped, exedrin” I think this could be a reference to The Shining because at least in the book, Jack (the psycho dad)’s catchphrase is “Come and get your medicine” and earlier in the book it mentions that Jack pops exedrin (the medicine mentioned seconds earlier) when he is hungover because it is the only thing that helps the headache. More evidence that this is a shining reference is that he has another reference to The Shining in another song on this album “I Will” where he says “And I don’t think that I can stop it, here it comes, I’ll do my best to try and block it, Redrum.” Redrum is what Danny (the kid in The Shining) keeps saying and seeing in his dreams.
