Thank you for this. I have a POG and the Boss bass synth and I've been wrestling unsuccessfully to get the sound in my head out of them, this has given me some great pointers. I suspect shoving a compressor before them might well be the best bit of advice
Does anyone know main differences between this and purple one? I play both guitar and bass but want just one (I already don't have space for one btw lol). I cannot find any vs videos
Thank you! I just got one and even after adjusting the trim pot, which was almost all the way up, I was barely even getting my guitar tone. I didn't realize that the start/stop couldn't be all the way down.
Hello is it possible with this pedal to simulate on the bass guitar the synth bass sounds from artists like Pet Shop Boys, Human League, Madonna ? I think they used the Yamaha DX-7 synthesizer. Best Regards from Brazil
I don't have my Micro Synth any more so can't test if it can recreate DX-7 sounds, but the thread here makes it seem like it can - the issue seems to be getting the right envelope sound: www.basschat.co.uk/topic/240843-how-do-you-get-that-80s-dx7-synth-sound-with-effects/
You'd need an octave pedal, envelope filter and fuzz - I'm reluctant to recommend specific pedals as everyone has their own personal taste, but I've been using the 3 Leaf Audio Octabvre and Aguilar Filter Twin for years and love them both.
Deeper Underground!!!!! My main reason for wanting this is to play that song. Have you considered transcribing it? I have but I don't think it's right.
If you compare it to something like a Future Impact or buying all those single effect pedals (octave down, octave up, envelope and square wave fuzz) then it works out pretty cheap, especially if you buy a used one.
FreeBassTranscriptions agreed. But it’s not really fair to compare it to the Future Impact. I don’t know if there’s a single stompbox that can be though. Personally I prefer the EHX Bass Mono Synth, but as with any modulation effect you really have to learn to play WITH the pedal and treat it like another instrument. The Digitech Whammy Wah + an envelope filter will also get a great synth bass sound ime. Great video..subbed 🤙

2:34 instant thumbs-up of video. Thank you! I was just struggling with my high output
Thanks, glad it was useful!
Cool Vid! I've had one of these for years and haven't dug into it much! Thanks for the tips!
I hear you, Jamiroquai song from the Matthew Broderick Godzilla soundtrack

what would you reccomend if we wanted to do all the tones in the micro synth with separate pedals?

It's near the top of my transcription 'to-do' list!
Oh and congratulations on getting a thumbs down. Looks like you flushed an internet bass nerd from its lair!
I always feel that a thumbs down is a good indication that I'm on the right track :)
the micro synth is cool and all but.. that. noble. is. PHAT
Dude, I do not need pedals :) and you persistently keep on selling some stuff to me
Except it's not cheap at all.
