- finally got around to editing this episode. i apologize for the delay, but i had a lot of personal problems that i had to take care of. i also apologize for the horrible quality that the nighttime footage is. i had a new setup and i was experimenting with the lights.
i guess i had a lot on my mind in this episode because i was talking and ranting way too much, lol. but if you can make it through the talking, i promise there might be an ulua or two.

much mahalos! for the most part, i just hook them through the back. but if they are soft like hinaleas, i go through the mouth part. hope that helps

Nice fish and great video. I got a question tho. How did you get the gaff on them with out stabbing them? I noticed that there was no blood or anything like that. That part really had me confused
thank you. if i NEED to gaff them because i can't hand line them up, i try to gaff them in the upper back, if that makes sense. they don't have any vital organs there and i'm above their spine and lateral line. also there isn't too much blood vessels there, so that's why you don't see too much blood. the other places i fish, i don't use gaff, only at laie because of the height difference to water. hopefully that explains it. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
