Insane new BMW 5-series sedan I can own.
@20:10 the 3.0T 540i is a lot quicker, 4.4s for 0-60. Rwd 530i is 5.9s so there’s a second and half difference.
Maybe I’m crazy but I’ve seen it in person and think it looks good. Thinking the 540 is worth the extra $ then again this one doesn’t seem to be a pig. Worth a test drive. What I don’t like is the lack of buttons.
I like the frontend, but the rear doesn't seem to follow the same styling. Kinda flat, far less aggressive than the front. A bit generic looking from the rear.

Looks like a Corolla. Sounds like a Corolla until you accelerate hard. The video game instrument panel is a fail. Probably drives ok. Back in 1995 I had a 525i. It was a tank. Felt and sounded great. Not likely to get another BMW. Excellent video though, thank you.

The HVAC controls are the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. Why didn’t BMW put the fan controls next to the temperature settings. Instead the music controls are there. 😡
That front lip under the grill in black blending in with the grill makes no design sense. They should have separated the two IMO.
Good video but during the driving portion there was a lot of movement and all I see if the top the car.
Hi why don’t you test 530e version. It has beter suspension.

Don’t see it. I have owned 3 5 series e60 550i,f10 550i and currently g30 m550i lci and just can’t it’s ugly dammit🙁.
The way you drive is hilarious 😂 the previous model was more gangster looking and beautiful the rear end on this one looks better then front also my recommendation would be 540i x drive that engine is really good one better then Lexus and Toyota !

Really don't like what they did with the side. Not only do they deviate away from their usually design language for decades, it now has a Toyota Altis feel. Why...? And why put a "5" there when the interal finally has the 7 feel now? The decisions are truly baffling.

Honda actually copies there designed off of luxury car models. Look at the tail lights of the new CRV now, they took those lights from Volvo… get there own design 😂 that’s these reg car companies for you they copy the luxury ones to survive

Over 70k for 250 HP? I guess it's a BMW but you could save over 30k buying a Honda Accord with similar power and vehicle interior space.
but that is going to be trash honda. Not fair comparison.
torque is 290, what more do you want. this is the entry level 5 series,
if you want more power, you'll have to step up to the 540i or M5.
that'll get you a 3.0T Inline 6. but i feel like the price isn't justified going
from this to that. so it's worth 70k,
though that is not the base price. the starting price for the 530i is 60k,
this car has the M sport package and a few extra options,
that'll bring the price up quite a bit.
my only issue with this car, is the long infotainment screen.
Mercedes has a few in their cars, and i just don't like this screen.
that is a finger printing nightmare, and the fact there are no buttons
for the climate control and audio, that would make me not wanna buy,
but not because it has 250 horsepower. that 290 torque more than makes
up for that 250, and 5.9 seconds is not slow. but im also not looking
to get a Corvette or Porsche 911. the M5 is certainly closer to that,
but i don't need that much power. not only that, but you're gonna
pay twice the amount just to get 4.5 seconds,
and at that point it's just not worth it.
now if money wasn't an issue, honestly I'd probably get the 540i
over the M5 and call it a day.

How anyone could not like this car is beyong me have to be bmw haters. I get the old 5 series was beautiful but this fits a 5 series more. Its big and bulky. Looks like a muscle car. The 5 should make the 4 and 3 look tiny. The m5 will be insanity. Praying on a v8 hybrid
