Great video - would you say that the Pro version is ok to ride with 0 help from the battery? I know you mentioned it in the video at one point but have you tried it for longer periods? Main thing for me is how easy it would be to get home if the battery was flat :)
thanks for the great review. Can you please tell me how useful and necessary a front wheel shock absorber is in urban conditions? Does it have any effect on asphalt? or did you block it on the asphalt?
I have the pro, the front shock is unnecessary on smooth well maintained urban pavement, however I ride on country roads in Italy and there are plenty of potholes and sometimes gravel roads, the front shock does help.
Hi, very good video mates. I'm ready to shop that bike but I need to be sure that the anti-bumper thing is efficient. What do you think of it? Many thanks.
Yes I have for short distances it's ok. If you have more bumpy roads than you should get a better softer seat. The front suspension is also OK and helps.
I have the Air 20 no suspension one, was on gravel lumpy bumpy long dirt track yesterday and it coped very well, uphill as well, very pleased with mine

@@stevechambers8869 it worked for me, I ordered a pro and a regular, both got -100E. Placed on August 4th. It was a bit of a bummer tho, the regular arrived in 3 days, the pro I had to wait 2 weeks extra (as we speak, it's still on the way, but at least I have a tracking nr and it should arrive in 1-2 days). The site wrongfully said that both are in stock.
I have the non pro and was so impressed I ordered a pro too. I was told by ADO that GPS is only available on the Carbon version. I don't know if that is UK only or for everyone. Love the bikes though!
Last time I did 45km in top 3 asist + Sport mode. But it varies a lot depending on hills, stops and starts, tire pressure, battery & outdoor temperature, etc.
I have ADO air 20 and I have ordered international version. But on motor it said 250W. And also I have that connector for the throttle. I’m confused which one I have because the eu version (250W) should not have throttle connector? Am I wrong? Edit: After aprox. 20 days ADO sent me thorttle (included in original price) so I obviously got "international" version. Just info so future buyers know. And on motor it said 250W but it probably can be unlocked to 350W ( didn't try that yet)
The international version comes with "250W" printed so that you don't have trouble with the law if you do not unlock it. Installing the throttle and removing the speed limit will also bump the power limit and will do more than "350W" 😉
@@TechTronic9000 Thank you for your help. Short update: 20 ish days after ordering bike I got throttle delivered included in original price. Do you maybe know how do I unlock bike to “full power”?
Hello, I live in a town with a lot of hills I have watched all your video about ADO air pro and Engwe X and I wanter which one is the best. I want to be EU legal. I know that I can unlock the Engwe which is something I like but I do not know if the ADO pro is better from an unlocked Engwe X. I do not care about the piece. Thank you for your help
Between the AIR PRO and Engine X there are huge differences, the AIR PRO is a very light bike which you can not unlock. The Engine X is much more bigger, heavier and has a much more bigger motor with more torque. For going uphill the X is better. I would also look at the ADO Beast as it has more gears to choose from, torque sensor and also 100% legal www.adoebike.com/products/ado-beast-20f?ref=plh7jVauGoYn4
@@TechTronic9000 thank you very much. If I buy the beast EU version can I buy extra the throttle, install it and unlock the speed limit? Let’s say that I move from Europe to US and I want to do that
It's definitely a good question that I'm also thinking about. In theory you should get the benefits of the PRO motor and 2 speed hub with the advantage of no speed limit and throttle. Still the PRO motor is made by Bafang and could have different wiring making it incompatible with the regular AIR controller, or might exhibit hall sensor issues, or different phase angle.
Got mine today, got into engineering mode and changed the speed to 35, but it had no effect, support stoppt at 25, I found it strange that it showed wheelsize 28, so I set it to 20. I did not restart the bike, I try that later, maybe that helps
@@jsundb02 only if you're dense or you have a need to kiss TechTronic ass...first off, did you use the translation option? because it's OBviously a question asking whether or not the shock absorber makes it a smoother ride...

Thanks! Great vid! Can they both be wheeled around when folded?
Yes, they have a magnet to keep them folded and you can wheel it around with a bit of care.
Can you mount and dismount air 20 like a step through, as i have problem swinging leg over the seat.
Personally I can, but you need to lift your leg a bit more than on a regular step through.

Indeed the AIR bikes are great. I would have loved the PRO to also come in "international" version.
Nice video. What’s the range if at Level 3 or top assist all the time?
Last time I did 45km in top 3 asist + Sport mode. But it varies a lot depending on hills, stops and starts, tire pressure, battery & outdoor temperature, etc.
Which one gives better driving feel ado air 20 or ado beast 20f? Please reply.
Depends on your needs, the beast can tackle more serious offroad and has more grunt, it also heavier.
Can you ride it without the electric power ? As a normal bike
The PRO rides more easy due to the gearbox, the normal version is harder tot start pedaling with no motor power.
Thanks for the very clear comparison!
Do you happen to know what's the technical difference between the Sport mode and the Eco mode?
The SPORT mode makes the bike accelerate much faster and it's more responsive.
I think that the pro is the only contender to the gocycle that i found I wish that the pro had rear suspension.
Rear suspension would make it more complicated and heavy.
Very well said e-cycle review and your video is very good, thank you❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

Officially no, yet I can say that there is some background research on this.

Not for now, no speed unlocking either.
So the throttle sold in accessories cannot be added to the Pro?
