GBRS Group Test & Evaluate Sig Sauer Suppressors

- The boys are back in Utah at our favorite range @READYGUNNER and we had the opportunity to test out a few suppressors from Sig Sauer.
Here are some initial thoughts that stood out during our testing.
1. QD MOUNTING SYSTEM. The QD lock up system is top notch and feels much more secure than most other systems out there.
2. THE HYPE IS REAL! We've heard a lot about the (blow through) technology which pushes the gas forward and reduces the toxic gas blow back towards the users face. Our main concern was having enough energy to cycle the bolt every time and not degrade the confidence or the reliability of the weapon system. During our testing, we used a wide variety of ammo brands and grain weight and we had zero malfunctions.
3. SIZE. Everyone wants to talk about the length and weight of the suppressor. In our opinion, reducing the gas blow back is more important for a number of reasons and we will cover all of those in great details as we get more time with these cans. We love the scalability of the suppressors, they are clearly labeled 5.56/ 7.62 etc. Doesn't sound like a big deal until you have a bunch of guys on the range and everyone is just swapping cans and not confirming what they have on their platform.
Sig Sauer appears to have done an outstanding job with their designs while keeping the end user in mind by fixing common issues that have plagued the industry for decades.
Thank you to everyone for their support. Please leave us a comment, like, share and subscribe!

Sig’s new product placement and marketing department reps seem pretty knowledgeable
😂😂😂
Ha seriously. Leads one to believe they could perhaps have experience with a multitude of firearms and maybe even warfare.
I am still impressed every time I see Shipley sight in. True professional. And to be so tuned in with the little things that most don't consider like gas release direction only furthers this.
Never shot a suppressed 416 I imagine...
Always a good day sending rounds down range. Stay safe and be well.
Just bought my first Sig this year and I'm loving it is one of my favorite brands I've bought
Love seeing DJ smile🙏🏼 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Gbrs the marketing arm of Sig.
Sig doesn't need them
@@onlyeasydaywasyesterday no, but they sure as shit are pushing sig for some reason..
@@lindsayraines1060 huh they are devgru/teams ran 226 for many years and sigs in my experience with being outside the wire are far above the others out there.
@@onlyeasydaywasyesterday Yeah i know who they are. Just saying everything they are pushing now is SIG. Wasn't meant to be a pissing contest type comment. Just an observational statement, but if they like the brand and think its the best then so be it..

Ready gunner! My wife and I made it a tradition to shoot there every year when visiting friends in Utah 🤘🏻 love the content guys!
Cole can shoot left and right handed damn near exactly the same. That’s savage. I’ll stand beside you. Thanks gbrs.
Love this channel, thanks for the great content!!
So my man Cole showing off his Ambi skills, i see you boy!
Love djs form as he comes from the ready position to presentation to fire. And manipulating the selector and trigger. Some pro shit right there.
Yup. Thousands of reps will get you there.
Guys we get it, Sig pays the bills
Still not convincing enough for me, I will stick to my OSS cans that have never backed off a bit with no locking ring required. Just another part that can break right? Also don't deal with any gas blow back and I am confident on my rifles performance with it on. My Rattler loves the OSS can!
His points are valid though. The gas is redirected way off where his face is. Breathing that stuff in sucks.
@@cohenj87 those OSS cans were the first we shot with the blow through tech- those cans are great. We were glad to see them leaning heavy on that design aspect. Inhaling gas is never fun and really becomes an issue the more you shoot suppressed.
@@GBRSGroup Hell yeah! I just ordered the Ti OSS can today, now for the wait.
@@juansimon5802 They're not saying it's the end all be all. If it offers an advantage in 1 out of 10 engagements for someone then it's a win. Just my opinion.
Sig smart for reaching out. This channel alone got me on sigs.
You weren’t aware of Sig before GBRS? What were you living under a rock?
@@mauricemaurice123 no I was well aware of them just never picked up the newer style p320's before watching these videos and maybe wouldn't have for quite some time is all pussy boy. They feel great in the hand.

Got you. Hook, line, sinker.
I really don’t get the hype, I tried an m18 I absolutely hated it, I’m in the boat of feeling that the Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 is the best pistol ever, I hit a dead center bullseye at 70yd on stock irons, the dog can barely hold a combat effective grouping at 25yds, puts every other pistol I’ve used to shame
As an individual with 0 Military experience, you guys could make a video about literally anything and id watch it, I can wait another week for another vid!!!
I dont give a massive dump if these solid Professionals are getting paid by Sig or not.
All I know is their fundamentals, training and detailed oriented explanations are appreciated.

I hope they realize there are 100 great companies that will show up and teach you cqb etc. Eddie Gallagher has a team that will instruct for I believe 450
Everyone wanting to know GBRS relationship with Sig. Folks, there's a learning curve to this youtuber thing. Be patient with them. In the meantime, soak up that knowledge transfer because your not going to get any better knowledge from anyone else. These guys are T1!!

GBRS is about to drop an optic Mount system...accommodates a RED dot and whatever IR laser unit you want.
I'm digging the style of the Oakleys DJ is wearing! Are they safety or prescription?

Cool video fellas. Can’t wait to see a review of that sick riser mount set-up. But I thought the walls and ceilings at my local indoor range were jacked....who the hell are they letting in there to shoot??? Sheez....
Awsome stuff
Those suppressors look on point!! But I'd really like to know what optic risers you're running.
Watching from the Philippines!
Very cool.- Good to know.- Tx.
You guys know your shit, Stay Dangerous my bros✊️
Is there a greater life span of flow through suppressors compared to traditional depressor designs? I assume since there is reduced pressure there is less degradation to the baffles.
Love almost everything about these guys.... just not the consistent pushing of sig products
I don’t own sig anything but I think they are amazing products. P320X is a solid firearm purchase. The mpx was the coolest firearm I shot to date. I don’t know much about them through experience but I have a few friends that swear by them
If you like something that works extremely well, you tend to let others know about it. What I grow tired of are the GLOCK fanboys. It's an old and tired pistol that needs updates BADLY, yet the GLOCK fanboys simply won't give it up. Sig on the other hand has been knocking innovation out of the park the last few years and it all started with the release of the P365 and hasn't stopped since!
Same here. Kinda said hmmm when Mike Glover showed up with his Sig too. Another great dude with a great company though. Tons of respect for these guys, Slade included, not just for the skillset but having the ability to instruct it.
@@tacticalvibrations6913 it’s pretty obvious these guys have all signed deals with these companies. Slade is literally in Noveske commercials. I’m not knocking it. I don’t think they would sign a deal if it wasn’t quality but people should understand that when spending their hard earned money to take this stuff with a grain of salt and do their own due diligence instead of just assuming if so and so picked this it must be the best.
@@8654ZuluFoxtrot They are getting paid to make this video, they don't make videos like this for all the other companies who's gear they run. Just the ones who will pay for it and provide them with ammo as well.
Can you guys link what both of you using for eye protection? Keep up the great content.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Only issue with sig cans is they discontinue them after a few years. I have 4 SRD cans and although they are stupid awesome it is bothersome that brakes and flash hiders are hard to get as well as pistons for the srd 45 and 9. Im a little apprehensive to buy more Sig products. Love the videos guys
SRD brakes and flash hiders are available on the website now. The new Mod pistol cans use the same pistons as the SRD pistol cans. My 9mm came with two pistons and a fixed barrel spacer. Not sure how much more you need?
@@toddheimann8020 operative word being (NOW) didn’t help anyone back then. That is however good to know for the future. Again I love their products my 556 can is better then any one I have ever used with zero barrel restrictions. I just wish they would stop discontinuing everything I buy.
@@lobsterlipps Back when? They had the SRD line and now the SL/ModX cans. One series change in what... seven or eight years? Sounds reasonable based on their learning from the SURG program win. They're an engineering company, so you should expect innovative new products. Most engineering companies release new products as they find better ways to do things. Cars, phones, appliances... yeah. And products go in and out of stock all the time. As the SRD line is discontinued and they still offer the muzzle devices, I would stock up and be thankful to have a heads up. I have two QD and two direct thread cans of theirs. I'm excited to try the new ones and if they're better for my uses, I'll buy them and use the old ones for high volume training.
I asked SIG if they would still be supporting the SRD line because I have both the 556QD and SRD9, they told me yes. You can purchased brakes and flash hiders on their website still, if you need more in the future. Same for the SRD9 pistons.
@@Theman3806 That is good to know before when I was looking for Pistons or muzzle Brakes They were unavailable just about everywhere. I’m definitely going to buy a couple of extras
Great video
Outstanding
Any word when the optics/laser mount will go live?
Say what you want. Everybody's got to pay bills but I can tell you this I went from a 19 to a 43x and then to a p365 XL specter custom works. That sig hands down is the best damn carry gun I've ever shot
Would really like on of these high optic mounts with the cantilevered rail for laser.
It's all coming out the front, including all the flash
Forreal. Horrible suppressor. It's just a sig add sponsored video
Cant tell if it's flash or whatever the equivalent of titanium sparks are from 'Inconel'. Not sure how much of a difference that makes to signature.
@@JohnSmith-yx8kf If you can see that much with the lights on……….
@@therealjohnsmith4811 Nice name, lol. Yeah i see what you're saying, but from what i've seen the Ti sparks from something like a CGS can dont light up the environment like actual muzzle flash from gasses does. Could be wrong.
@@JohnSmith-yx8kf Most (if not all) MG rated cans are Inconel. Ti is lighter, but much less durable.
4:01 and look at the head of the target. CLEAN
I gotta think that Sig is making some legitimately superb products, and the guys are genuine in their enthusiasm for it. Sig probably also realizes the SIGnificant benefit that the GBRS pedigree and reputation of the operators can bring to the table, so I would imagine they're sweetening the deal a little bit. I just like watching the guys run their equipment. If I have an extra grand laying around someday I might be inclined to pick up a Legion or X Carry. And if the government would crawl out of my ass I would also grab a supressor
Sweet Demo Gentleman.
Where’s the plate carrier knowledge transfer? 😂 you guys are awesome! Hope y’all are doing well

@@stevesummerford3690 Sig, i mean GBRS says they're trash.
@@Sakattack2023 they're loud cans with a lot of flash, I would imagine it's because they see OSS as direct competition

Hello. What kind of sig suppressors are these?? Thank you an thank you for your timely response
When are these cans coming out? I noticed Sig discontinued their entire previous line.
Can literally see the flash coming from the muzzle with the lights on (and not just the first round).
I’m pretty sure there is a monetary relationship between sig and GBRS, keep that in mind.
@@trojan115gw8 I agree. It’s amazing how people eat this crap up just because its GBRS.
Flow through suppressor, lets more gas out the front in exchange for less back pressure... it's also a mid sized Can out of a 6 inch barrel, plus titanium cans spark like that when the coating is wearing out on the inside
@@gabrielchatwin7459 Right; so whats the point of having the can if it does not suppress flash or sound well at all? The can does more than spark. You can see the flame as well on the longer gun. To rave about the low back pressure but ignore the primary reasons for a can in the first place seems like a shady endorsement rather than an actual T&E where the good and the bad are discussed.
@@therealjohnsmith4811 exactly, might as well just go un-suppressed if you don’t care about flash or sound suppression, and prioritize back pressure. Just don’t put the thing causing back pressure on lol.
How many rounds do you shoot in a week? Also do you do dry fire training? With what frequency?
Do you guys not have any concerns of the noticeable flame shooting from the cans...even in a lit room? Might just be me, but if I were going to risk my life on a comp, I would at least want it to do its job.
I’m gonna stick with my CGS Helios ti. Hard to beat.
Any chance to get your trigger preference for door kicking (AR) and the Glock 17??
Great information thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience 👍
Glad people are finally starting to acknowledge that smoke and lead toxicity is a real concern for long-term shooting.
With the idea that you guys are looking for reduction of gas to the face from your suppressors because of extended use, with the example given in the video of 20 years around a suppressed gun, would you guys be interested in trying flow through/low backpressure cans such as B&T, OSS/HUXWRX, and LaRue if you guys haven't already? I know personally, at least because of their aggressive marketing on it, the OSS dudes pride themselves on effectively no blowback compared to most other offerings.
Great video fellas
Everyone is all concerned about their relationship with SIG. Do they (GBRS and Field Craft) need disclose that they are partnered with SIG... It should go without saying they have a relationship with SIG. Glover even mentioned that he was working with them to create a certain gun, and gave a custom SIG to Travis Pastrana..... Who cares? They all actually, quit carrying Glocks and switched to SIG in real life. And for DJ and Cole they did it while they were still active duty...The Military has switched to the M17 for the Army, and Marine Corps and AF went with the M18. There is something to all all this.
Ive never owned a Glock but Ive shot a bunch of them. They always felt funny to me like they were pointing down or something... After I shot a SIG P320 I bought one, an M18. Then a month or so later I saw the videos of these guys shooting with Mike Glover helping him transition from Glock to Sig. Everything they talked about was what I experienced with the Sig after shooting other pistols for years, and carrying an M9 for 20 yrs.
What do you guys do without your weapons? Why isn't there any hand to hand demo/training?
Sig does make some quality products. Thanks for sharing!
Please disclose your relationship with Sig. Are they sending you items to review? Are they compensating GBRS? These Sig videos are like ads. Literally nothing negative is said about any Sig items.
Will you please disclose your relationship with men? You are talking like you take a pair on your chin regularly.
What do you think man lol , I literally was going too say the same thing you said but haven’t cared about following gbrs as much since slade left
It’s EXTREMELY Obvious they have a financial relationship with Sig, one day they all shot glocks fast foward half a year and there shooting sig hand guns, sig PCCs , using sig ammo, shooting MCX Spears (NGSW Submission) and now testing sig suppressors.
@@st.louismissouri3312 I mean his questions are valid.

Sig, currently, is the most innovative and technologically advanced firearm company on the planet. They’re top 3 in every industry they’re in. Everything from Optics, Suppressors, Ammo, Firearms. No other company on Earth is doing what Sig is doing to push the consumer industry forward, while also getting a clean sweep in damn near every Military competition they enter. The best part, everything’s being designed and built here in the USA. My guess is they are a Sig sponsored group now. Nonetheless Sig makes great cans. That said, always try before you buy, what works for them is not always what works for you. Are you shooting subsonic? Do you want max suppression? There are a lot of brands out there, they are expensive and getting the paperwork can take forever. With that in mind make sure you are positive you get it right the first time.
Definitely sponsored.
they’ve made it public they are sponsored
@@bentbake6758 well then I guess that answers that.
Had the opportunity to test the new cans. They really suck compared to the old generation. The 716 they had setup with the .30 cal can didn’t even sound suppressed in the slightest
Maybe you'll change your opinion when Sig pays you handsome for a video.
Yes! Sig says the SLX line actually lowers backpressure over non suppressed. How does the full size stack up to the Helios QD Ti with the flow through end cap?
I’ll tell you that you’ll be very unlikely to need the flow through end cap with the Helios on anything you might run. .30 cal more let’s plenty pass through
I dont see it being physically possible to lower back pressure when you add a pressure catching device. Assuming same operating pressure, it HAS to go somewhere. That's non-fucking sense in my opinion, lol.
DJ has a really weird shoulder contact, when he presents he basically just holds the rifle he barely shoulders it, I appreciate it because my body type is really similar so I have pretty much the same rifle mechanics as him
Idk if it's the case but the heavy push for sig by them over the past few months makes it seem like their opinions are bought. Especially since noone else really talks about sig this way. Alot of their reviews feel like commercials. Love most of their other content though.
