I really admire people who can leave the standard and live their dream instead.

I really enjoyed the story. The American way: buy a house, buy a car, another car, then a spare fun car, of course a boat, fill the three-car garage with so much stuff the cars have to be parked on the driveway. Afterwards, if your lucky, you wake up and realize all the stuff owns you, and you have a really big garage sale and get rid of the stuff and start buying experiences. Good job Elia!

Whenever I get the urge to buy something to make me happy, i'll just go and watch this interview. you don't buy happiness, you don't buy the sparkle in Elia's eyes when Naomi talks about their adventures.

for a few moments I was feeling alive, I was feeling what live should be, I was feeling my senses being over this gray world that most of us are living, I was alive, even for a moment but the sensation is priceless. This all only because of you, you are special people. For that I'm thanking you from the bottom of my heart!

Damn! What a story! I'm glad everything turned out alright for you.
I guess that perpetual travelling wouldn't do for me - I really need to have a fixed location I can call home - but I envy (in a positive way :D ) the freedom you, guys, conquered.
Hope you keep making those amazing photos you present our eyes with for long.

this is very inspirational. I have been depressed for so long wanting a way out of this dull unsatisfying life I live and become a photographer. I am no pro, but I love travelling (and I do it quite frequently) but it's never enough. Thank you for this inspiring video :)

Inspired brother-I have been alone on my journey to capture, and have had lots of let downs. I used my images to save areas, fight fracking, oil, and look to people like you to learn from. I'm a simple swamp guy thank you for creating, showing, and when I get a little more money going to take some of your classes.

Very inspiring. I made the mistake of NOT declaring bankruptcy and paying off debts from an abandoned business idea. For over 15 years, I worked 3 jobs, (One of them as a photographer) and months on end I wouldn't get a day off, just so I could get the balances down. When the credit card companies arbitrarily close your accounts, then take your interest up to 35% APR, it's very difficult to make any headway. But I did it. Spent another 7 years scraping and eating for a little as possible to get a down payment on a house. I spent 17 years in a 500 sq ft studio apartment so I could afford camera gear. Now I'm almost 46 and my whole body is shot. Two herniated discs in my back, a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder, and various other things. It's tough to make a big change now but darn it if it isn't appealing. I've got some money and a bunch of stuff I could sell. Anyway, my 1-year anniversary without a drink is April 4th, and I'm treating myself to a trip to Death Valley with a GFX camera to celebrate, for me...so I can build my portfolio. ;)

Thank you for your brilliant inspiration. After 52 years I'm finally getting this concept. We've sold off all our our possessions or given them away. We run an international health clinic on-line, a publishing company and and off-grid building consulting firm. We leave Nov. 2nd for Cancun for 6 months and then not sure where after that. So excited to be a digital nomad. I can't figure out what took us so long.
