Hey Mike, I run a Deere with SF3 and never have to nudge a line all year after it’s set. It’s amazing how well it works. You probably are running that on your 4060 though too. If not it’s totally worth it. We run that globe on the tractor for seeding then I put it on the sprayer for the chick peas and desiccation.
The wass guidance is always moving. Constant nudge. RTK is the shnizle. Lol. We had a 4410 and I wired the foot pedal into the foam marker button. That was mint!!!
Mike we run 2 r4030’s and I can say that as far as ride quality, and ability to control how your applying the Deere is second to none. Hate the carbon fiber booms though. Would definitely stay away from them on rougher ground
Mike, I'm not sure if you touched on this topic yet. But could you give your impressions so far of the new JD x9 combine and will you demo one this fall? Thanks!
@@mikemitchell2554 sure would love to see a comparison review of the Deere. Especially since there's one sitting in your lot. I know, it's your brothers....
I have a question, Why do you not spray all your fields with the air plane? that way you do not leave tracks in the field at all. I am not a farmer so I was just wondering? since you have the plane ?
Hmmm... a cheap roof for rainwater collection above those water tanks, twice the size of a semi trailer would produce app. 7,000 gallons of water a year...
I have been watching you for a while and it is wrecking my head as to how much land you guys farm? Used to think maybe about 20 or25 square miles but the more I watch the more I think it's a lot more.
Don’t keep climbing all over things when there moving, because one day, yes one day, your going to slip and Ashtyn will be on her own and we won’t have any videos to watch ! 😩
Haha I also appreciate the feedback good sir 🙂... But the sad thing is, this is toned down "safety first", because off screen I am waaaay crazier! I hooked my self to a 50ft diameter tarp in a 90km wind with no exit strategy for fun!! 😳 🤷♂️ 😂 I don't think you guys really know the true Mike... 😬 Haha
Mike, I said it on your last "climbing on a moving sprayer" video and ill say it again the neglect of any thought of safety is disgusting. There is a reason that these companies put the rotating amber warning lights on these sprayers and they are meant to be used for safety. Please remedy this situation and keep up the climbing on sprayer videos those are pretty cool.
Your controlled traffic issue could be solved with VSN from Raven. If you have a V4 controller and RS1 GPS it will visually see the track and keep you in that track regardless of speed from 3-4" tall on up.
I guarantee you. The guy in that John Deere will not let anybody else in it. I’ve never run one either. But I’ve tried hundreds of times. It’s something about them machines. You just can’t get the operators out of em. That says something in itself.
Mike Mitchell I LOVE your ENERGY you put into the videos. It puts a smile on my face to see someone ENJOYING LIFE SO MUCH with everything that is going on. You are doubtful to catch Covid 19 as it could not keep up to you and be left in the dust 😂🤣
Are there newer varieties of chickpeas available that have better disease resistance or herbicide tolerance traits? Seems like you spend a fortune on your input costs to produce the crop. Some better disease resistance traits would help cut back on the chemical applications.
thanks for the vid mike. u mentioned in one vid that u might upload media from yr wedding .will that be on utube or is it on other social media platforms ...peace out
I feel like i never heard you talking about nor hearing anyone else asking a question about Claas machinery. How come you guys never had Claas combines?
Maybe the combine could keep up with the Fendt, but their big tractors don’t have the power of Mike’s 9RXs and he seemed unhappy with the power of the Fendts. They also don’t make sprayers right?
@@austin357 I mainly meant on combines, cause they are in Europe top tier with preformance and efficiency. So,the only reason which could stop them from getting the Claas combines is poor availability with parts and stuff in his area. This is just me thiking,i could be completely wrong. That new Lexion 890 is sweet as hell.
andban92 sure, sorry I took the comment about “Claas Machinery” as an opportunity to think about the rest of their lineup, Mike has the Fendt 9s (t?) so I guess the Claas combine is bigger as well. Claas gear looks well designed and pretty innovative features, how does it stack up to the american gear for reliability etc?
@@austin357 Yup,he has Ideal 9t. I'm sure they are as good as Claas too. Choosing between those brands feels like choosing between BMW,Audi,Mercedes, etc They are all good, just the design is slightly different.
@@austin357 Fendt / Challenger (AGCO) do produce some pretty sprayers, called Rogator. Mike knows them well I think. That machine uses so-called need-farming tech which allows to save some chemicals as it only sprays it where needed in the field. The machine monitors and recognises particular weeds, etc.
Ok, those hubs may hit the larger crops. Well, don't yet understand why the wheel hubs are not mounted to the duals? As that would both be more safe to drive on the road, easier to pass other vehicles, allow to have a small base configuration of the sprayer, do not damage the larger crops, safe some weight, etc. And once designed well, it isn't more difficult to mount, is it? But you have the experience with duals and tripels. Hope to learn why this is doen this way.
How many acres do you all farm in total? I know you said in one video you have a field that's 5500 acres, and you spoke of 7500 around that tank depot - impressive numbers, what is the grand total-ish?
Curious if it would be worth it in the long run to toss wells up at each loading station to cut cost of hauling water back and forth. Fuel and maintenance cost on top of paying wages and mileage

Mike - don't want to loose you, but we're still missing that up front Titanic Bow shot. Seriously, be safe my friend.
Trucks certainly are a PAIN to fill up at slower rates with the size of their tanks🤬😱
its insane to me that these new sprayers still have the option for foam markers

That's very interesting, thanks!
In the Uk we had a product recall on the carbon fibre booms because of the trouble with them. I don’t know if any other countries had the same.
What a piss poor fuel fill setup
It is a Case after all!! Lol🤣
How could they design such poor fuel fill. They must never test in factory.
John Deere’s cry slowly to get enough tears to fill fuel tank. But yeah, that’s a real design job there.
About like some of their tractors, put a loader on them you ca get fuel cap off
Man you make excellent videos loved the explanation of how the auto steer system works 👍👍🚜🚜💨
With all that chickpeas, you should be the king of falafel in the middle east if you open a factory on the side of the fields and export it to them

Jesus that gps system on the case looks like old school shit. John deeres Greenstar is a much better job.
Hi Mike ! How many acers do you farming? And which crops? Best regards Anders from Sweden
That is really awesome to watch you spray and climb around on the sprayer. Explain how it works. Thank you so much. Greetings from Virginia
... But you can't put fuel in it. Wtf who said yeah this is the way over at Case.
Mike is there much Control traffic farming in Canada here in Australia we use it quite frequently
Really nothing here in our area

The freeze thaw cycle helps farmers over here get away without CTF I think
Andrew Warner yes, I think freeze-thaw helps reduce compaction a lot

What's the difference between a lintel and chickpea .. I never had a lintel on my chest .. lol yep a joke !!
There’s nothing out there eh? No farm houses? Homestead?
And I don’t see any chicks out in pea fields?

Filling that with fuel is just like the case tractors they don’t take fuel very well. Always end up getting soaked with diesel!
thanks for the vid mike. u mentioned in one vid that u might upload media from yr wedding .will that be on utube or is it on other social media platforms ...peace out
Along with the fuel filling issue another issue with case is every red tractor or sprayer will eventually have scr failure it seems like.
Pull the nozzle back a ways and it will usually feed better.
+1. The quick bend in the pipe causes the diesel to splash back at the nozzle and hit the aspirate shutting the nozzle off. Pull it out about 50 mm.
more monkey climbing! I like the difference camera views
Sounds like someone is running a Shop Vac in the background lol
