Ok people, let's not argue about comparing and contrasting J-pop/K-pop. Let's just either enjoy or not enjoy, and if you don't like it just move on. It's as simple as that!
Tetsuya Komuro is the producer that defined what we know now as J-Pop, and the name "trf" comes from "Tetsuya Rave Factory". Back to the K-Pop discussion, you don't have to be included into the "young crowd" (sorry if I offended you btw), my point isn't meant to start a fight or something. The K-Pop idols have amazing dancing and vocal skills, that's undeniable. But when it comes to a group that has been active since 1992 (!), it's just amazing to watch them perform like if they were teenagers.
It may be probably boring for the young crowd, but for those of us young adults who grew up with Tetsuya Komuro's music (and that involves trf, globe, Namie Amuro, hitomi, and many others), this is incredibly nostalgic.
1.Why isnt this in HQ, avexnetwork? 2. This is way better then the original version. 3. First time i see a vid this different from a japanese artist, GJ!
kpop is more materialistic and commercilized than jpop....... dancers in jpop industry are very different .... a lot of them are proffesional dancers in hip hop (like EXILE tribe members) house( like sam from trf) or locking (Kenzo from da pump)
Young crowd? I'm not a kid, thanks. Probably older than you. In any case, I'm not big on Japanese pop, so I have no idea who Komuro is. Just don't appreciate random digs on Korean pop, so I decided to share my thoughts on this particular song. I do like TM Revolution and some other J-Pop. so I'm not a hater or anything. Only annoyed that a person would say a single group is better than an entire industry, probably without having seen any good dancers from K-Pop groups.
The pop industry in general is materialistic and commercialized. That's the case in Japan as well as Korea, and America, and Europe, etc. That's the nature of the genre. Also, there are plenty of sincere songs in the Korean pop industry. The catchier songs are usually the ones promoted, but there are always sincere, heart-warming slower songs (Someday by U-KISS, for example). I also find it quite telling that fair criticism is received so negatively. Without translation, all I hear is flat vocal
There are also many professional dancers in K-Pop, like Jay Park and Hyunseung (B2ST) for hip-hop, and Joon (MBLAQ) for ballet, off the top of my head. There's also many group members that were discovered through dance competition and/or excel at it to a professional level, like Yunho of DBSK, Eunhyuk of Super Junior, Taemin of SHINee, Kiseop of U-KISS, Changbum of 100%, Zelo of BAP, Bi Rain, etc. Essentially every group has at least one dancer of that level. It's not as different as you think.
That's because most of the dancers in EXILE tribe only dance. They're just visual and don't actually do any singing. That kind of thing doesn't really exist in KPop. All the members in those groups sing and dance...at the same time for live performances. (Sometimes lipsyncing for more complicated choreography, but mostly live.) The choreography can only be so difficult because they have to sing as well. Also, there are many KPop singers who were also professional dancers before being discovered.
微妙う~ its not bad but its not that good either. The dancers are great and some parts are cool but i hate how they have black background with black clothes. you cant see the dancers properly. the choreo is pretty boring aswell. sure they incorporated different styles like hiphop, house, locking into their dance but they werent that special.
Perhaps some, but the song is incredibly flat overall and the vocals are bland. As a dance video it is fairly cool, but the song is just incredibly boring.
trf + Tetsuya Komuro teamed up once again in 16years. Their chemistry is not deniable, awesome!!!
