I retired after 28 years at Delta Air Lines (Ramp Operations as well as several other Departments).........I truly miss working there and the friends I had a privilege to work with! I love this video, thanks for posting!!
In the early 90s, when you landed in Atlanta and taxied to the gate, they played the instrumental of this music. It was a nice melody and that was a nice way to end your trip.
When they purchased parts of Pan Am, I guess they decided to keep the tradition of playing the company jingle as passengers got on and off the plane becaus Pan Am did that. In fact, I think American did too.
Actually, this is around the time Delta was retiring this great commercial jingle and introducing “ you’ll love the way we fly”. I started with Delta as a flight attendant about a week after this was filmed in May 1994.
There’s a difference when you’re flying someone who’s really trying someone who shows how much they care someone who makes it look so easy 🎶🎶someone who’s really glad you’re there we love to fly and the feeling grows we love to fly and it shows 🎶🎶we love to fly and the feeling grows we love to fly and it shows
This is one of the all time great airline image campaigns right up there with American Airlines "Doing What We Do Best" and United Airlines "Friendly Skies." I think Delta should bring it back!
And...AA's "something special in the Air!"🥰 I was a Delta Airlines brat growing up, but after college, couldn't get a job because of nepotism. And so began my job/career with American.❤️ I miss those days...when flying was soooo much better than today!
The old 737-200, no bypass fans on those engines, it was a rocket ship,i was working a sport charter one night and they had to us the TR'S to back up, it shook the ground
Ah, yes-the once-official airline of Disney Parks *AND* most of the game shows of my youth, i.e., _Jeopardy!,_ _Fun House,_ _Where in (the World/Time) is Carmen Sandiego?,_ and _Wheel of Fortune._
What airport is that filmed? Some of the buildings in the background appear similar to architectural styles around Silicon Valley, and the mountains look like those in the region, as well. By any chance, is that San Jose International?

It was from a tape DL sent to employees when they introduced the jingle.

wow this is great!
This is wonderful.
ohhh man....the good old time
Great video and jingle
Great video.
Bring back this jingle
Bring the industry back to a time when the passenger was treated like royalty and they actually cared about our safety and comfort.😮😒
We love to fly and it shows
That would be wild if they actually played that song in the cabin every time one of their planes takes off.
This is totally awesome! Great video!

I took me over a minute to realize they didn't want to fly until the end.

Lol...my brother had a sticker on his dresser that said "Delta air lion"...do airlines still pass out little things like that anymore?
Classic jet and classic jingle - brings back some childhood memories of the 80s. Where did you manage to dig up the full length jingle?
i don't know ...
It was sent to airline employees when the jingle came out
Does anyone know who sang this jingle?
Marc Chasez No cause it sucks!
No it doesn't.

It could be anyone really cause a lot of times when jingles are made they are freelance employees of production companies
