Honestly, i only play ranked, since season 1,and i used to pathy if solo que to use mobility to survive to top 5,if im feeling it and have a friend playing with mics, ill use defense like rampart or caustic... Or Wattson Now.... Now new ranked isnt so sweaty so people play for top 5 i noticed which i like SO, my new main is all over the place because i can relax and play with teamwork more. Mad maggie i have been maining to see how she is, rhe beautiful part of apex that makes it a long lasting game.
Ive started maining Loba a few weeks ago, already have 500 kills with her. You basically get unlimited ammo every 3 minutes so its really easy to farm damage. And you get to support the team while being able to have movement.
@@dumbguyontheinternet1711 its apex, we hate the game(due to new respawn staff not fixing any bugs) but are so addicted to it!!!! (until "The Finals" comes out :P)
I started with bloodhound and lifeline, then moved to path and rampart. Mostly a rampart main these days but I still go back to all my old mains and really enjoy the new characters when they drop. Never got a solid feel for catalyst but I understand the usefulness of her kit
I have been playing Vantage and Maggie the most lately so it was weird seeing them in the same category, basically confirming I'm more of an entry frag than anything else. Id say vantage is more useful than maggie, generally, but her tactical and ultimate are really underrated
I mainly use lifelines care package as cover in open areas now. With how quick it comes it's brilliant to drop when stuck in open and if your hit it gives you a quick shield swap
Bangalore has been my main since her Heriloom was released. Her kit is absolutley sick; the smokes can help in multiple ways, her passive is basically a free Octane stim without taking damage, and her ult either helps you push or escape or buy time. Plus, she's pretty cool. "Come get some! Move it or die."
I just discovered Catalyst and I love how she can be defensive and offensive at the same time with her tactical and ult. She's so useful in a fight and using her wall correctly it's perfect por clutching fights
I'm not sure how many people know this but when playing vantage, if you have your weapon holstered and you try to ADS, it will give you the ability to use the scope from her sniper rile to scout ahead without having the laser give away your position
I also think crypto is a really good team leader, hes a hard legends but hes really good at knowing whats going on by leaving the drone where your fighting and the fight opening with EMP is insane
I have mained Catalyst since her season began and i started to adapt well to her tactial ability and ultimate. To this day im improving with the spike tac, literally everyone or nearly every game i will likely get some damage from my spikes i have placed almost across the map or near another building i was in before. Its enjoyable but she is not an easy first legend. It will take some firing range training to place the spikes right so it's impossible to get rid of them when they are inside and you are outside. Once you get use to it and are in a end game situation and you are in a building, the spikes are there to help you correctly.
Thats what im goin through rn. Catalyst is the first legend i bought, love her so much. I usually play the mixtape things like control, you get a spike kill like every other match its so funny. Shes great
You did describe pretty well why ive always mained caustic, i saw gas daddy on day 1, decided i wanted him, didnt play until season 3, and after i unlocked him hes been my favorite ever since, trans witch catalyst is awesome though, shes just so much harder to play lol
Here's a comp that I tried with my friends, although not the most consistent strat it's very useful when you want to create cover where there is none: Watson, Newcastle, Rampart. Use Newcastle's ultimate to create cover, place rampart's walls in the wall's openings and then use Watson's ult to prevent grenades and bombardments from destroying your cover.
I started playing gibby to help out my wife who just started playing, never really played him before but I’m loving the support role. Dropped a couple 10 kill games recently so Gibraltar it is
Main legends are Mirage, Newcastle, and Rampart which ends up with a sorta overall supportive dueling playstyle. Though I play some more than others depending on the weapon meta each season.
Ayyy same! I started with Pathfinder, have about 10k kills, but i realized I was being so aggressive that I would sometimes leave the team with a 2v3 if I didnt wipe people out. Mirage is an awesome support and duelist, can win so many 1v1s solely due to the visual clutter and confusion. NewCastle is easily the best revive legend in game, WITH mobility. Rampart is so much fun, once you get her Shiela down, you can shred entire teams within seconds, AND you can have on demand cover anywhere.
Ngl I don’t even have a main I just be playing who I feel like would be fun at the moment. But it usually includes mirage, Newcastle, octane, wraith, Maggie and caustic
Been playing for a good while now and at this point I would say my mains are Catalyst and Wattson, though I do have an interest in trying to learn and improve at Newcastle and Ballistic, just to have that other couple of play styles
personally, if you are having any trouble finding the right legend for you, I suggest choosing the legend that represents your weakness (like fuse or octane if you need help pushing or wraith and horizon to quickly gain advantage or escaping fights easier) - I found that this works for me. This will clearly improve your weaknesses and make you a better overall player. also make sure your team have a good mix of characters and not having a weird mix like mad Maggie, Valkyrie and bloodhound. having the right squad will change on how the squad plays and how you react with fights. if you need to change your character it might not even be the case sometimes and might just be the team chemistry because I've recently just started playing with new teammates and you just have to give each other some time to know when to do stuff at what rate and all you need is some practice.
So if my weakness is movement and positioning should I get good with pathfinder instead of my typical main in bloodhound cause I'm kind of new and an overly aggressive pusher
well coming from someone who has experienced this many times and someone with 2 heirlooms and level 300 i could say im pretty experienced lmao but i would definitely say try both out see how you do bc u might see no difference or u might see huge just try and see what u prefer bc i can run almost every character due to my high sense in gaming and its a pretty good skill ngl but for sure just try and see what u like but as you said mainly path bloodhound possibly horizon all these have high movement skills and abilities so it could really improve your weakness.
This works ! My main issue was going in too aggressive and relying on a movement ability (wraith q , horizon lift) to get out and often failing to do that. I started playing Wattson to make me play smarter and I got significantly better and got my one and only 4k on her.
Started maining Caustic in season 1,stopped until now, tried every other legend for quite a bit. Then I got heirloom shards twice and bought his hammer and his prestige skin. All I can say is I look forward to getting my hands on you.
My mains fluctuate between a couple picks in each class. I spend a lot of time with these picks, and feel more comfortable jumping into random matches when they're not available.
heres a tip for valkarie:if ur in a middle of like a 10 squad battle if ur valkarie use ur ultimate to pin the enemies so ur team mates have a advantage to know where they are and if they know where you are.
Honestly mirage is a very very good squad leader champ. Great fighter, good intel, one of the best rez in the game, safe pick can get out of a lot of bad situations, invisible superglides, ability to give your team the support passive. One of the best jack of all trades champs right now.
@@louis_mclaren can be challenging to climb with, I’m no master mirage but ive been pushing him to his limits even inventing new tech with him with the help of movement but I’d say if you can make convincing decoys and have good decoy controlling then yeah he becomes really good. If you get to a point where you can still bamboozle past diamond he’s honestly one of the most versatile and fun champs to play
I’m a Loba/Mirage main but I feel like switching to a different one. Considering I already I have Fuse who’s better? Maggie or Ballistic? I’m more aggressive and wanna be able to attack and deal more damage.
In the range, i tried all the characters, and i currently dont think any of them suit me because i dont know what im doing still (reached a little over 100 or 110 hours yesterday), but it all comes with time-- Ill definitely keep this video in mind when I find out my style, but so far i like know where enemies are lol
@@itsmelee8462I would just try to get used to seer. His passive allows him to always know where people are and you can check buildings(+) without people knowing since you don’t have to scan. You already know his abilities tho so I’m not gonna get into the nitty gritty
Main Pathfinder, mirage, caustic, vantage, and ash. 1 in each category. I like picking my legend last to see what area needs filled in. (No movement I'd probably pick Pathfinder so the team can use his ult) ect.
I honestly don't understand why people don't find Newcastle fun. He is way more enjoyable than most other legends in the game and yet he has a 0.9% pick rate
I have watched this video so many times now but still cant decide who i want have as my mains.. i usually play wraith/maggie, but i like the versatility of newcastle and others like blood/seer and controllers like wattson or caustic and i also like horizon but dont know whats the right pick for me I cannot seem to stick to a few legends so im a bit stuck.
Crypto main here🙋🏼♂️ I remember the times back in Season 8 (when I started playing Apex) that I didn't know who to main. In every single game I've ever played I've always liked stealth/recon/support characters and I always thought that Crypto was so cool so I started maining him. I fell in love with his personality and his playstyle suits me perfectly. Just play somebody who is interesting to you and if you play them enough, you will eventually become unstoppable even if you play a legend who is not considered a 'meta legend'. Happy gaming legends!
Started with pathy and wraith but now I I’m stuck (in a good way) with rev and Newcastle. Rev is hard to use tbh but is so much fun and Newcastle is slept on.
I would say my playstyle is something between Entry and secondary fragger and the legends i play are Caustic Valk and blood but i can‘t decide who to main to get the best out of them
I used to be a Wraith main, but ever since they added loba to the game, I switched to her. I now have almost 11,000 kills and I have over 750 win with loba.
i main crypto since i have him - and he was the first one i unlocked - so hes obviously the one im most comfortable on, even tho he isnt an easy legend to play. if ur considering on playing him, keep in mind u need a really good map-knowledge, gotta understand how the game works and how ur enemys think, u NEED good movement skills since his kit doesnt give u anything to work with and you gotta be able to be creative with his drone and the emp. also, if hack (the drone) gets destroyed u have literally nothing to work with the next 40 seconds, so u also have to learn how to work with every other legends abilitys so ur not completly useless during that time. also prepare to be unable to play without a recon legend every again XD since i play him 99% of the time i basically always know where my enemys are and it drives me mad crazy not being able to tell where everybody is
I go octane if the squad doesn’t have any pushers or players to start off the fight. I go bloodhound if we don’t have any players to collect info and stuff
So if I wanna get back into higher rankings I have to switch from lifeline huh that’s gonna be a hard one she’s tiny and a rear play maker maybe I’ll try conduit
For me I like to play aggressive, supportive, and defensive. So, I’m currently deciding between loba, wraith, ballistic, Newcastle, vantage, and Bangalore because they fit me the most.
Loab Objectively You're able to support your team by giving them what they need you're able to be defensive with your ultimate such as if you're holding a building you can use it to block doors give you quick emmo And other things But you can also try lifeline
I got my main only in season 22, other seasons I used Pathfinder, Rev, Octane, Mirage. But now we have Alter, is one of the best legends, I got 2k damage at second game.
Start main Loba cos her Q , after some games , find fun aspect of her ult. You can grab all types of ammo when ring is short, drop far away and noone can find it + she sup so she can res team and this like another game, when replicators in hot spot and you try revie you teammates..Better always have 1 free slot on ult for steal , cos you can grab something good from new dead body.
Apex is the first fps game I'm trying to genuinely play and hopefully get better at. I'm ABSOLUTE GARBAGE at fps and always have been since I was a kid. My main right now is the person I was assigned for my tutorial 💀 I've only played like 4 rounds and I'm scared to even look at any other character LMAOO
Then you should try out the movement legends like wraith, pathfinder, loba, octane, Valkyrie, horizon and vantage. Those legends can reposition quickly!
i always use the same 5 legends now 6 with ballistic and cant tell i really have a main but i've used lifeline, bloodhound and catalyst more than anyone, love support and control
As someone who started 2 days ago i just went with wraith because she looks like speed o sonic, but then i suck so bad at playing, so i switched to bloodhound so i could atleast support my teammates, but now i actually like bloodhound
Imma a Fuse main with 2.5k+ kills 130+ wins an 1.1M damage an I love playing as him you can play him a couple of ways but its better to use him mid range. But i use Bang an recently been messing with Lifeline.
I don't really have a main, however when I don't really feel like playing anything, I always come back to Horizon. She is just way too much fun to play.
I'm tryna decide between octane horizon and Bangalore I'm more of an entry fragor and an amazing fighter so I'm trying to go with a kit that helps me fight more and better
im just gonna say if u are a newer player mirage might work but when u start going against more skilled players following mirage in his alt is very easy
I just got my first set of heirloom shards yesterday so this is a perfect video. Even tho it’s the worst one (imo) I’m leaning towards mirage cuz I play him the most
I would say to definitely get whoever you play the most. If you see that changing sometime soon because you’re tired of them, etc, just give it some time. If you enjoy mirage, get his heirloom for sure. People hate on it for no reason but I like it. Plus, it’s better to have an heirloom for someone you use all the time than a cool one for someone you never use
Yeah get who you play the most. I got my shards 3 days ago and got wattson’s she’s my main, and I love her so much, but before that I bought the ash and loba events just to have heirlooms cause I wanted one even though I don’t play either of them like that 😂
Mine are conduit and loba for the most part because too many idiots don’t know how to play as a team so I usually have to help them out by playing those 2 but my third main is revenant
Wraith and Horizon are the strongest or are played by incredible players atleast. I've never seen a horrible horizon and wraiths are either goated or noobs. Bang is too mixed of a bag and doesn't make me feel any sort of way when fighting her. Just seeing a Horizon lets me know I'm most likely players against a sweat god.
Can u make one, depending on what type ofteamates u have because Sometimes, i play with friends who play selfishly, and i normally fall back, but sometimes but thats not always an option
I love the team comp me and my friends have. Bangalore Lifeline (he just won’t play a different legend) Loba As the Bangalore, my only gripe with the comp is that we don’t have a recon

I go octane if the squad doesn’t have any pushers or players to start off the fight. I go bloodhound if we don’t have any players to collect info and stuff
Horizon, Catalyst, NewCastle, Crypto & Maggie are the Legends i play and switch up on periodically. Such different play styles, one for each mood lol.
Ive got a bit back into apec after quite a break and loving ballistic. I dojt get why ive not seen my teammates pick him though...seems really solid
@@unknowjd I tried lifeline and I feel really good with her
@@LandonC17 same I playing loab right now but if she gets take I'm using life if you neeed some tip for her let me kn
As an older player every advantage is key I appreciate your content.
happy to help!
I got my main only in season 22, other seasons I used Pathfinder, Rev, Octane, Mirage. But now we have Alter, is one of the best legends, I got 2k damage at second game.
Went from octane to wraith to gibby to bloodhound back to octane then to rampart to mad Maggie then back to octane 😭
So basically I play the game for fun, entry fragging and playing with movement since my legends I like/play the most is Mirage, Mad Maggie and Horizon
I HAVE kinda agressive and tactical playstyle and i love switching my position quickly to run from danger which is the best legend for me ?
Then you should try out the movement legends like wraith, pathfinder, loba, octane, Valkyrie, horizon and vantage. Those legends can reposition quickly!
And Bangalore
I'm an Octane main at heart but I play Wraith, Bang, Ballistic too, in that order...and everyone else occasionally
i always use the same 5 legends now 6 with ballistic and cant tell i really have a main but i've used lifeline, bloodhound and catalyst more than anyone, love support and control
As someone who started 2 days ago i just went with wraith because she looks like speed o sonic, but then i suck so bad at playing, so i switched to bloodhound so i could atleast support my teammates, but now i actually like bloodhound
Play passive with a tint of support and helping aggressive pushes from behind
Tim or anyone really need help deciding between Bangalore or wraith is there any thing I should take into consideration on trying to decide
Team comp idea: rushing recon. Mirage bangalore and crypto. Bangalore smokes, crypto throws in drone, and mirage ults in the center for more confusion
Imma a Fuse main with 2.5k+ kills 130+ wins an 1.1M damage an I love playing as him you can play him a couple of ways but its better to use him mid range. But i use Bang an recently been messing with Lifeline.
i started playing bangalore shes fye
It could just be my opinion since I've mained loba for 3 years but loba is highly recommended
I don't really have a main, however when I don't really feel like playing anything, I always come back to Horizon. She is just way too much fun to play.
I like to use valks ultimate solo sometimes, to show my team where the enemy's are an if their close they basically have walls while I'm in the air
I’ve been playing only caustic sense late season five when I started
Fuse and ballistic are my assault mains, seer is my recon, and Newcastle is my support main. I can’t say who’s my number 1 tho
I'm tryna decide between octane horizon and Bangalore I'm more of an entry fragor and an amazing fighter so I'm trying to go with a kit that helps me fight more and better
Same with me
im just gonna say if u are a newer player mirage might work but when u start going against more skilled players following mirage in his alt is very easy
I love when you do these videos!
Glad to hear it!
The legend sub names are hilarious
thanks lol
Yup, those were fun 😆
If you think about we are that random to other people and we think they suck but they also think we suck
Wraith Horizon and pathfinder for me. Can’t explain why, but with them I am so much stronger.
Hey Tim have you heard anything about cross progression from the dev team??? It’s just embarrassing we don’t have this yet.
I got my shards 3 days ago and got wattson’s she’s my main, and I love her so much, but before that I bought the ash and loba events just to have heirlooms cause I wanted one even though I don’t play either of them like that 😂
I was a wrait main unlock horizon last night practice in firing rage came out and drop my best game yet
Bro thank you so much I was a caustic now I’m a vantage and rev main. Rev really only bc I got a heirloom with him
best of luck!
Mine are conduit and loba for the most part because too many idiots don’t know how to play as a team so I usually have to help them out by playing those 2 but my third main is revenant
Bang is the strongest legend in the game 🤷🏾♂️ and it’s not even close
Wraith and Horizon are the strongest or are played by incredible players atleast. I've never seen a horrible horizon and wraiths are either goated or noobs. Bang is too mixed of a bag and doesn't make me feel any sort of way when fighting her.
Just seeing a Horizon lets me know I'm most likely players against a sweat god.
I am now debating between bloodhound and wraith, I like wraiths heriloom more but I have cooler bloodhound skins
Wraith description was King, LOL
YESSSS I WAS WAITING FOR THIS!!!
I main seer and now that he is nerfed he sucks. I have been playing ballistic now but it’s just not the same
Can u make one, depending on what type ofteamates u have because Sometimes, i play with friends who play selfishly, and i normally fall back, but sometimes but thats not always an option
I love the team comp me and my friends have.
Bangalore
Lifeline (he just won’t play a different legend)
Loba
As the Bangalore, my only gripe with the comp is that we don’t have a recon
I main mirage and i have a 4k
Wraith main since i started (13k kills now!)
i used to play horizon im Wattson now
Got the 20 Kills and 4 K on Pathfinder, Revenent and Newcastle i only switch between those
