Nice upgrade. I watched your videos and ended up going with hobbywing 1100kv and max 6 combo. So far no heat isssues with 31/54. Thanks for the informative videos. Definitely inspired me to get some extra power. Never gets old. Keep up the sweet videos.
Vitavon the man I have all the parts he makes for the UDR and the SBR. One thing the body keeping popping off would annoy the hell out of me, it looks like if someone made a better front mount, it only needs to be longer where the lip slips into the front mount position and then when the chassis flex's it slipped out.
Definitely the next upgrade on the list. That looks like its going to last and hold up for sure, getting tired of the smaller bearings already. Thanks for another great video
Someone needs to do the front. I busted the rears and fronts within first few runs. Replaced rears with RPM oversized carrier and bearing, theyre holding fine still. The front bearings are trash, generally the carriers and the gears are bad out the box for such a big truck.
I just ordered the front vivaton hubs for that reason alone. They also come with the triple bearings and the inner bearing is bigger too than the stock one.
It's a bummer they dont use sealed bearings. Those shielded bearings won't last long for a lot of people. I talked to the vita on guy about it but he wasnt interested in hearing about why sealed bearings are important.
I’ve got a bunch of these bearings in stuff and believe it or not I get about the same life out of these as I do rubber sealed. Sounds odd I know but I don’t do water either.
@@ExocagedRC staying out of water plays a big part also the bearings he uses are very high quality. Regardless I pretty much guarantee rubber sealed bearings of the same quality will last longer.
Nice upgrade but I have four bearings on all of my xmaxx if you turn down the stub axle you can fit an additional two bearings on the inside since I've done this upgrade I've never blown a bearing in my xmaxx👍✌
@@ExocagedRC yeah all you have to do is turn down that stub axle and you can fit two smaller bearings in the stock hubs. And then you still run the larger one on the inside.
Nice video bro! I need rear hubs like that for my bajas! Especially this new one with the Rcmax supreme 55! Sweet video 👍 you do any 1/5 gas rigs at all?
@@ExocagedRC i do like that DBXLE 2.0 it looks sweet and its even bigger than the original! @@ExocagedRC The biggest reason that I ordered at least the front ones is the bigger inner bearing. I'm tired of changing that thin bearing on my xmaxx trucks all the time. Thanks for your response 👍
When you make one part stronger it's just gonna find the next weakest link. I'd leave it all plastic. Just get the rpm rear hub carrier with the larger inner hub bearings and keep the flex otherwise you'll just be changing arms out instead.
@@ExocagedRC could always buy stock inner bearings in bulk for cheap lol. I clean and oil mine often and they last quite a while. I have a set of rpms for when I run out of spare stock bearings or break a stock carrier but that hasn't happened yet.
Rpm rear hubs are nice but I wore out the outside around the bearing. I haven’t seen anything from anyone else that has the giant bearings like Vitavon uses.
@@ExocagedRC That's most likely because you use that giant 800kv motor on your xmaxx. Hehe. That's why I'm going to try out the 1100kv motor instead with the 25/35 gearing. 👍
I often wonder the same thing, oddly enough I wear out the rubber sealed bearings pretty fast in some trucks, we will see how these hold up, they sure won't break!
Exocaged RC I find that the rubber sealed bearings don’t live as long as normal ones without maintenance but when you do take the rubber ones apart every month and give them a good service they last for very long. The rubber seals wear away but the seals can be replaced, so with proper care rubber sealed bearings last me very long. Metal shielded ones can’t be opened up and taken apart and serviced. Plus the rubber sealed ones are good at keeping stuff out of them especially with new seals. Im actually working on my bearings right now and doing a monthly strip down of my mojave
More bearings less drag.is created plus im sure in this designe its helps strengthen the hub itself plus you.notice the rear bearing is way bigger than the front of the.hubs bearing so that 3rd big bearing is to help balance the rotation matching up with the big rear bearing since the front bearing has to stay the smaller stock size on the axle/hub imo.👍
can you change up your vids a bit... you always do the intro, then install, then drive, then you talk some more... I would just like to see something different bc your vids seem the same all of the time
It's a good format. Introduction, show how to install the parts, run the RC and give a summary of everything at the end. I like this format and hope it doesn't change.
I’ve changed it up from time to time but I like to describe what’s going on and then show it. Usually in the end part I can explain a bit about the mod or whatever.
I guess I like the format but I could care less about they way he transitions from part to part. He says the same thing in every vid... "take a look", "then we are going to take it outside", "check that Description for links", etc... it gets old. And I dont understand why he includes running Footage for parts that dont effect the performance... like this video
i just picked up a whole set of these including toe links and steering bell

I have the rpm front n rear hubs with big bearings...no issues
I think the RPM kit is better. It is lightier and has less bearings to replace and drag. I like to have a better front hub kit.
Their really missing a large market segment by not making them for the front lol
@@based_will no kidding. I have to replace that crappy inner thin bearing after like 5 runs
RPM now makes fronts.
FYI Traxxas now sells a beefier front hub carriers for the Xmaxx part number 7737X. It uses the same size bearings as the rear rpm carriers.
@@SolRayz TY. I am still using the originals. At $6, they look like a steal. Just need bearings..
im digging the proline read hub carriers. very similar to the rpm. ya seems weird to have metal sealed

I’ve had the rpm hubs, the inner bearing gets loose in the bore. You have a point in keeping it flexible but it still has the arms to absorb hits.

a company should just make bearings for the xmaxx. Call them xmaxx bearings, frt and rear aluminum hubs. Thats my biggest maintenance issue w xmaxx
How did you get the bearing out of the housing? I want to take it out to oil them before I use them and I can’t find anything to take them out
Nice!!!
Why does your XMaxx sound like it has metal rattling around in it and geese honking when you brake? Maybe I missed an earlier video?
lol probably has the mesh off, also the geese is the PWM of the braking from the Castle ESC and big 800kv motor.
