Hey thanks Minority Mindset you are a huge help, Toyota keep sending me the trend in deal my pay off car. Will visit them this Saturday and get a gift card for Target walk around eat free snack. Than say will be right back 👍🏾🙋🏾♀️
I have 3 kids and a wife I'm the only one that works and I made $55,000 . 2 car notes rent light water phones cable internet insurance. But nothing saved in the bank. And very bad credit. Where can I start to save money
I have realised how important it is to surround yourself with inspirational people, whether in real life or on UA-cam. The encouragement of youtubers has put an end to 3 years of procrastination. I recently started my own channel and I'm very pleased with the progress. Thank you so much to this channel and others who have inspired me.
Now I know why it's called the Minority Mindset haha! It's an alarming statistic, MAJORITY of millenials don't have any savings or investments.. I'm so glad this channel exists so that people can be educated when making their financial decisions! Great content Jaspreet!
I'm glad I just got my first 1000 saved for my emergency fund. Now I'm paying off everything that's taking money from me. Then I'm gonna save for the six months of expenses. Then start really investing.
The other side of that - I "owe" a great deal of money on real estate. It creates cash each and every month. It is as close to tax free as you can get. I'm "broke" in a good way. And been retired for almost a year.
I’d rather have 20k cash and 100k in debt almost always as long as it’s 4% or lower. Zero cash means you are extremely vulnerable to anything life throws at you. With 20k that buys me 4 months to get a stream of income going, preferably 3-10 clients which will profit me 4-6k after taxes and expenses every month
Guess that depends, unsecured or secured debt. I want my assets free and clear with liquid capitol on hand. Unsecured debt, like student loans or credit cards, meh.
Millennial real estate investor here! 🙋🏻♂️ Anyone else? Great video. Crazy to hear the stats on financials of others in my generation. Thanks fo sharing.
As an old Gen-Exer I can testify that everything he is saying hear is true. It is simple advice, but not easy to overcome the consumer conditioning. However you will have much more freedom and happiness both in the short and long term!
Sad to say, but schools are bigs problem when it comes to money and teach you how to be YESMAN and to be a good employee, but not to say no for good morals or not to buy stupid things.
48,000 is a lil high for a millennial , 25-35k is more realistic ‼️ $2200-3000 month ( that 3k is if u got dependents or u work O.T) 1000 a month on rent is spot on tho ..
I’m happy you posted this video! I just posted a finance video on my channel about How to handle a recession in 2020! Many of the points you touched in here remind me of that point!
I've been watching you for a couple of years and even tho its taken me the same amount of time to finally take your advice, you have helped me so much. Your content is superb! Don't ever stop lol!
I like the honesty. I have yet to start fully applying much of the knowledge ive gained on youtube. But the thoughts and awareness are now in my head daily and im moving closer to being who i want to be

TheManWithThePlan that takes balance. It’s like ur retirement for a job. U don’t put all of ur income into retirement. Just a portion. And that’s what he’s saying. Another great motivational video. It's an up hill battle and one can find themselves in a world of sh@t. But that crap decreases as you fix the funnel one leak at a time.
So glad I have no college debt and have an old 2007 honda hybrid as my work car. Cheap insurance, cheap gas. My next venture is to buy a 2 story multi family house and be an owner occupier, and make about 15-18k a year in rent. That'll pay for the mortgage and still be able to earn me a few thousand. After a few years, I will move out of that, rent the first floor I was living in and make double the income, and invest some more. Property seems to be the way to go for right now, especially in my area. Anyone in the comments have any experience/tips?
I was told that same thing by a self made millionaire years ago. He said no one is going to pay you but you. Take at least 10% for yourself and use that to finance your future and retirement.
I don't currently have the money for a security deposit on a smaller apartment (and have several months left on my lease). I probably average $40-$80 a month going out (1-2 movies with concessions and 1-2 fast food trips-I've found that if I go much below that my impulse control goes out of whack and I'll end up putting a couple hundred on my credit card in one shot). My truck is almost 20 years old (and has been paid off for about 6 years). I do finance my phone because my old one broke and I'm since I'm required to have one for work and I was planning to upgrade in a couple months anyway, I went ahead and added the $25/month to my phone bill (for a $250 smartphone-which I plan to pay off in 2-3 months when work picks up again and I'm actually making some money). There's obviously some things I could do better but at this point my goals for this year are to build up a small emergency fund, pay off my credit card, and then go from there.
Eating out and Starbucks are big wealth killer. People don’t realize it because it’s only $5 here or $10 there. It adds up real quick over months and years.
Great Video Jaspreet!! Your videos inspire me to also make a UA-cam with videos on finance and my perspective of it being freshly out of college! (Technically a Gen-Zer)
Great way to explain the majority of people life style. Living below your means gives you more freedom. I track my cost of living lat 60% of my income including my 401k contribution up to the match 4%. I invest the other 40% in index funds. This is hard to do as I get comments my old Honda Accord, but the key I am content with the life style as I don’t have to stress financially long term. Paying cash is powerful.
I'm not a millennial but generation x who loves Avacado toast LOL. I started learning about money from Suzie Orman. Looking back no institution teaches about money and finances. I love and still learn from your videos. Great Stuff Jaspreet....... you should be on MSNBC.... no one talks inflation either really. Being a consumer sounds like a job description. Keep your money it doesn't grow on trees.
Bro, why are you hating on my avocado toast. It is one of my favorites. All kidding aside, one of the main reasons folks go broke is they confuse want with need. When everything becomes a need, it is easy to be broke. I need a beamer. I need a designer bag. I need that Hawai vacation. I need to buy all these expensive vitamins. I need organic foods. I need to buy prepackaged individual meals, etc. I need my weekly massages. The list is endless. All the needs may not apply to one person, but you get the point. To become wealthy, the major thing most people need to figure out is the difference between need and want along with sound investment knowledge. That's it.
Agree but if they would just be honest with themselves they already know the difference. They just try to justify it with the following: but I deserve it, I work hard and should be able to enjoy my money, I value experiences over things (hence the Hawaii vacation, destination weddings, etc.), sometimes you have to treat yourself, and so on.
Easiest way to balance a budget is to get rid of debts. Add up every payment related to debt and it's likely 50% of your expenses. Get rid of debt and cut your expenses in half
Right, I noticed that too. People don't see cheap/free things like reading a book, cooking at home or go for a walk as entertainment no more, unless they can throw in the bin some paper.
Barato Barato I think the bigger issue is our brains always needing to be “super stimulated”, because of the integration of tech. I’m guilty of this... I would NEVER consider taking a walk to be entertainment 😐
I know what you're talking and I really fear the end of privacy and enslavement by technology. But in my case I feel happy because I like those free old-school stuff. Of course I feel a bit alone in this days.
Praji, I have been watching your channel for a year and a half now. Great job. I noticed you recently started moving towards the camera and back too much. It actually causes me headaches. I understand you are pretty pepped up (excited) but this level of movement is getting to my head.

Hey Jaspreet, can you consider making a video about owing an EV vs a Gas car financially. Example- owning a Tesla model 3 vs similarly priced BMW 3 series. Thanks
You'd honestly think that this would be common sense to people. It seriously upsets me when I have to explain the same thing to my friends/family who always complain why they have so little money and expect to win the lottery
22 and handling credit like a boss. I barely buy anything and opened a credit card which was approved for $2000 and somehow got approved for a line of credit also at $2000. Currently sitting at a 710 credit score as of 1/15/2020 😎.
My favorite excuse is I work hard and deserve these things. My coworker works less than 40 hours a week on average and has 40k in debt and I'm over here working two jobs 60+ hours a week without debt and live at home with my parents. 60 is minimum or I'm disappointed in myself. I save nearly 95% of my income and shes spending 110% of hers. "I work hard I deserve (nails, my new car, tattoos, eating out, going to clubs)" but works less than half the hours I do. Love it.
They shouldn’t live in downtown Chicago making that little (assuming you mean the loop, etc). They can get a roommate living in a 2 bedroom in one of the neighborhoods like Lincoln park for less than that. They also don’t need a car and can get unlimited train and bus access for under a $100 (since it’s pre tax).
48k a year for that great job you had to go to school for?! Wow I’m so glad I never went to college, lol I make more than that a year and I clean toilets 😂
Patrick Boyd haha I woulda loved to buy house. I rent one in Southern California. Work for the state, make a decent living, and I 100% understand this debt cycle lol. It’s basically impossible to save and decrease your spending if you live in an expensive city. That’s the real trap about a millennial. Having to live in cities that are 100xs more expensive than your parents knew
Thank you for dropping that here I wish there’s anyway i could thank you for that. I’ve really lost a lot here on trying to make a better income for my family and household
A 2007 BMW would cost the same as an used Corolla, but unfortunately, people want the newest, shiniest toys, not necessarily the stylish ones they can still afford.
Yeah this situation is real people!! I have a few acquaintances in New York, and I feel bad because of the industry they are programmed to keep up with the jones I never understood how someone making over 100k loves pay check to pay check. Sadly most of my friends live this way or they dont invest at all. And I'm making 30k a year and have already done 4 flips, day trade paid off all my college debt. Interesting enough now that my income is the same have more money and decided to invest 80-90% of my income (live with parents) my the time I'm 35 and leave my parents house I'll be close to retirement all on 30k income.

Rent is 2000 a month in northern Virginia
They shouldn’t live in downtown Chicago making that little (assuming you mean the loop, etc). They can get a roommate living in a 2 bedroom in one of the neighborhoods like Lincoln park for less than that. They also don’t need a car and can get unlimited train and bus access for under a $100 (since it’s pre tax).
Good advice for any age bracket. Thank you!!!!
:) thanks for watching!
@@MinorityMindset on a recent video you gave your definition for making excuses. What was that definition? Thanks
Avocado Toast's ain't cheap brother 🍞🍞💰💰

It's weird how in life , pretty much EVERYTHING in a man's world revolves around
Money
Power
Sex
Teach them Pagii, that's why we work on corp. 🤝
Health care insurance premium is around $200 a month for singles.
“I’m NOT giving up my beemer” 😂😂😂
48k a year for that great job you had to go to school for?! Wow I’m so glad I never went to college, lol I make more than that a year and I clean toilets 😂
I make almost that amount a year and i didn't have to spend one red 10 ¢ in college, skip college debt to obtain a degree and bought a 🏡 i. 2013.
If am to say I wouldn’t mind getting to know all about this Sam Aryan I hope there won’t be problem
You know for so long working with him I haven’t recorded any losses. Without you Sir Aryan I wouldn’t have been here today
I got his info samaryan832 @ gmailcom here on UA-cam
Thank you for dropping that here I wish there’s anyway i could thank you for that. I’ve really lost a lot here on trying to make a better income for my family and household
I get to be surprised most times to see people talking a lot about my trader
Yesterday I got my payout as I always seem to receive every weekend. Keep up the good work Mr Sam
Great video
Than you for watching!
I'm going to be honest. I've never eaten avocado toast.. but as much as you talk
about it, I'm beginning to grow curious.
This is really good
Stop taking out 250k loans for a 35k a year job...live below your means stop pissing away your money...its really that simple
How about the people who waste money on every stupid thing they see on TV and still blame the government? I have a few friends like that...
Sad and true
